ALRIGHT LET'S GET MESSY! You guys requested this, OBVIOUSLY I couldn't cover EVERYTHING That would take too long but for what it's worth I gave quick GENERAL overviews on the profiles and relations of the Balkan states. From there you guys can discuss your opinions (What could go wrong?)
Balkans is not really geographical peninsula, it is a region. One that is on cross roads between different civilizations and powers, it is one of the oldest parts or Europe. It has extremely diverse topography and landscape that allows huge fragmentation and diversity. In short it has its own uniqueness, charm and identity that makes it quite special compared to rest of the continent. Greetings from one Bosnian
Formal Croatian & formal Serbian are both related to Shtokavian... which is actually of Bosnian origin. So, the similarities are obvious. Also even though the two languages have different ways of conjugating verbs, both are able to follow through the grammatical structure of sentences. Big problem comes in dialects. Some Northern & Southern Serbian accents are a little tricky. Also Croatian North Western (which is almost identical to Slovenian), and the Southern accent (which has a fair amount of Venet Italian nouns) have made it harder for the two languages to link up. Fortunately, formal Croatian has retained many similarities with Serbian, and regardless of the fact that Croatian youth have issues in reading the Cyrillic script (since Croatian is written in Latin), most Serbs do in fact understand & use the Latin script on a daily basis. Particular examples of this would be the Latin Script used almost exclusively in Montenegrin & Bosnian!
+Nome Inventado There are diffrences. Sceintist in Serbian is naučnik and in Croatian znanstvenik. There is also word naučnik in Croatian, but it means apprantice.

Such a fun video. And pretty much accurate. All that happened on the Balkan is far from fun, even scary, but still you managed to make it funny. Good job
@Turkish Incel Brotherhood Actually, rakia (or arak, originally) is the Arabic drink and has nothing to do with Balkan rakia which is a fruit brandy, apart from the name which was borrowed via Turkish. As usual, Turks were just pathway between civilizations - European on one and Arabic and Persian on the other side, without really inventing anything, but claiming other's inventions as their own.
@Turkish Incel Brotherhood No, no, no, you got this all wrong. Turkish culture is just a poor imitation of Byzantine culture with an Islamic twist and a strong Arabic and Persian influence. The Balkans are a child of Byzantium, with Turks just being a continuation of that early relationship.
@Turkish Incel Brotherhood Yeah, maybe day to day you are still the horsemen from the Asian steppes. But the way your country is structured, backstabbing politics with frequent coups, despotic leaders, Constantinople controlling everything, kinda really religious but kinda not, music, art is just a ripoff of Byzantium, Arabs and Persians. And, by the way, when you stop criticizing and making the wrong assumptions about my culture, I'll stop doing that to yours. OK, Mustafa?

Old people hate each other, but also have fond memories that make them nostalgic about the countries that they say they hate. A weird smoothie of emotions. They'll curse the other folks from the Balkans in general, but if they meet anyone in person, especially outside of Balkan, the outpouring of love is immense. Younger generations are much more chill and less conflicted about that. We have most of the love that the older generations feel towards one another, but basically none of the hate :)
This is too good, too funny and TRUE! Thank you for putting this together. Živio (with a shot of rakija of course)! I am Yugo through and through. Love all my Yugoslavian brothers and sisters.

Zatvori vrata! Uci ce promaja.
