I like walking up to Resort Kerculla and have a kapuçino and oshaf at one of the balcony tables viewing the valley south. Oshaf is a sheep's milk pudding/mousse sweetened with figs. Also, there is a little taverna called Kardashi (lunch with the Kardashians, so to speak). The thing they have that is special is the tzatziki, because they make their own kos (yogurt). That yogurt is superb.
Great video! My family and I were in Gjirokaster back in 2021, we stayed at a Hotel Fantasy at the very top of the very steep and narrow road. An adventure getting up there!
Thanks so much! And OMG we totally saw that place and tried to get there for sunset but we gave up hahaha it was too hot to go by foot. We had a great time in this little town too 🥰
Nice Vlog in a Nice Village ( looks like you are in Turkey ;) ) again and I like "imam Bayildi" to and its mean in Turkish The Imam ( prayer of Mosque) is falling passed out , because its so delicious .
So beautiful! We missed out in Turkey because we never ate this dish there. But next time we know :) And I totally understand the name hahahaha it is really hard to believe how good an eggplant can be!!! Now I can call it Aimara Bayildi 😂 would that make sense? hahaha bad joke 😂
Guys, I’m currently in Albania, I would like to know your opinion about which city do you prefer Gjirokaster or Berat? I don’t know if I will have time to visit both, I enjoyed ur videos!
Hi Ariadna! Mmmmm that's hard! They are both so beautiful, but if we had to pick one, we would pick Gjirokaster. I can't pin point why... maybe the food in Odaja, the castle was very nice too and all the terraces with amazing views... Berat is incredible and the sunsets are great, but we just connected with Gjirokaster better... Just know that whichever you choose to visit, you will have a blast! They are both beautiful! Enjoy Albania :)
@@ariadnavargas8554 YAY! Then you can see it for yourself!!! Enjoy all the yummy traditional foods and the insanely beautiful views from the terraces! 😍 Have so much fun!!!
SO many! we really want to visit your country! We already met so many kind people from Kosovo in Albania and we can't wait to visit. Maybe next year :)
Imambayıldı is a turkish dish actually. . The name of the dish is completely turkish. İmam means hodja in mosque and bayıldı means delighted or enjoyed very much in turkish. You can translate imam bayıldı to English as “ imam enjoyed very much”. This dish is a very common dish in Turkey , cooked by olive oil and served cold. One of the best dish made of aubergine. I hope you liked it .
We know it is a Turkish dish. Doesn't bayıldı mean fainted in English though? At least that's what google translate says and all the info about the dish on the internet: Imam fainted, because he liked the dish so much when he first tried it.
We also enjoyed it very much hahaha but even though the name did sound familiar, we never had this in Turkey! Is it from a specific region, or is it easy to find? WE LOVED IT SO MUCH!! Thanks for the info by the way :)
@@mendjelire8392 yes bayıldı has got two meanings , one is fainted (lost conscious) second one is like and enjoy very much . In Türkiye if we like food, film etc very much we always say “bayıldım”.
@@waysoftheworld_ İmambayıldı can be found in the restaurant that called” esnaf restoranı” in Türkiye. In the menü there is a section called “ Zeytinyağlılar ( means dishes cooked by olive oil and only vegetables in it and served cold), Hacı Abdullah Restaurant in Beyoğlu serves imam bayıldı and it is delicious indeed.
Favorite part of the video? Anyone else out there as clumsy as I am? :) Thanks for being here guys ❤

Hi, thank you for the video. The bazaar, in which area of Gjirokaster is this?
the historic area in Gjirokaster is quite small. It's just on one of the little streets in the middle on the historic core.
Gjirokastra is beautiful city in Albania.🇦🇱Come to Kosovo there are many beautiful places to visit. You are welcome.🇽🇰

hi , i gonna go go tirana next month and i really wanna see there , is there any way to go these from tirana?
you can drive there or take a bus. I'm also guessing there are tours that you can book through tripadvisor or viator.
