- Here's a short tour of my new display area for my collection. The entire system is from IKEA, and it consists of four separate sections of BESTA shelves/cabinets. The light is INREDA and the glass doors are TOMBO.

Myself I find myself almost going with the white besta since they seem to pop the colors of the star wars pf a bit more.
The black besta look good against your white walls.
Poster looks a bit hidden away there but is awesome.

Thanks a lot for the kind words, buddy. The white ones are also very nice. They show the pieces in a completely different way. I can imagine that they also are "easier" to keep clean in the sense that dust isn't as visible on the white surface. ;)

The display looks awesome buddy. I use besta's as well.
It's one of Ikea's better looking solutions, looks superior to the Detolf range in my opinion. I think if I had gone with these I would have had them two tear high all around the room so the busts could go on top. You have made a nice job look great!

Thanks, Manos! I'll have to check out that mirrored glass. They are very light-weight. It's not top quality furniture, but it works well. The pricy stuff is the lights and the glass doors.

Nice looking & cozy situation there Chris.From my own experience I would also recommend the Inreda light strip (perfect fit, warm light) & the Inreda mirrored glass (glass multiplies the light and adds depth 2 the self)..Mixed feelings about Bestas.They offer price & flexibility but the quality of the light fiberboard is suspicious & they get scratched like butter.

Thanks a lot, Simon! Sounds good, on your part. Looking forward to see some good updates! ;) The LED light strips look very cool! It's all a matter of taste. They aren't so expensive, are they? In that case, go with them, and consider change later, if you're not satisfied. That's my suggestion, anyways. ;) I know that it looks cool with a single piece on each shelf, but with all the POs that I am getting, I will be rolling with two pieces per shelf, eventually. That was a nice job man, but for me I would like to get one wall display for like about 25 (1/6) figures I have in my collection and I wanna be able to lock them with a key. I'm thinking of a custom display in one of my living room walls the size of that wall in which you put yours too. Any ideas?

Firstly, great tasteful display, love Audrey also. I've never seen this available in ikea in Australia so I'll have to make some equerries and how much it cost.
Thanks a lot. I actually was just lazy. She was on that wall before I got the new display, and I just had my desk there. But I love that picture, so I just let it hang there. I don't mind. :) I love to look at her from the couch. ;)

Looks amazing i was going to get 2 detolfs not sure now these are better, just wondering if you can get locks easy fitted on, great star wars figures the christopher reeve superman would look great in your vacant spots

That collection and display is top notch mate! Love the whole look, and I'm a little jealous of those pieces. I've just started down this road and have a couple of busts and one premium format( Darth Vader) . My question is how is the dust factor with these? Is it zero or a little dusting here and there? Ohh and by the way that ESB print is my favorite too which I currently have framed on my wall in almost the exact spot. And subscribed....

Mange tak. :) I alt for hele dette display er vi oppe på 7000,-. Så det er ret dyrt, men det er lyset og dørene der koster. Selve skabene er faktisk ret billige.
Tak! :) Ja, men ellers sig til hvis det kniber. Så kender jeg nogle steder der er gode, og har erfaring med at handle på flere fora og på ebay. :)

are you not worried your storm trooper helmet will not go yellow in the sunlight. I have one and i have to keep it out of direct UV sunlight for that reason.

Hello. IKEA is indeed the best way I think to display collectibles. What is the specific model number the Besta sleeves you're using

They do reduce the amount of dust that enters the cabinet, but it's not entirely dust free. I'll see if I can have a video made of the doors. :)

So all these are 1/4 scale statues?
Do check the mg, it's under 30euros. ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/50196542/. It will add elegance, not that u need more...Don't get me wrong, for a quality furniture of these proportions u would probably needed a LSF cost, so u made the right choice amigo.Try not 2 exceed 15kg/self (they say 30...in a perfect world maybe)
There's so many besta/ shelf unit what's the size of one of the units and if you don't mind what's the Size of 3 units wide and 3 high

I heard word that they might be discontinued. But you further down this page. I have written the product numbers in a comment somewhere. You can search IKEA directly for these numbers.

They are not entirely dust proof. But they do keep out quite a lot of dust! Unfortunately, they have been discontinued by IKEA.
DarthChrisDK Thanks for replying, so is there a gap around the glass door? I'm from the UK and we can still buy them here. They seem great cabinets, I was going to buy the Ikea Expedit cabinets, but these look better

can larger statues such as Arthas or predator polystone statues fit in the Ikea Besta display with glass doors???
Yea, I've seen that done before. So it is definitely possible. Just be sure to be familiar with the measurements of the BESTA and the pieces that you wish to have inside them.
well my Arthas measures about 19 inches tall and 19.5 inches wide.. my predator is about 20 inches tall and 10 inches wide.. i jus hope they fit in the besta display but also have the 3 glass doors that u have displayed in your living room. looks amazing.
im not sure if my statues are considered premium formats or what.. im new to the collectors world so not familiar yet.
Ramon Solorzano Premium Formats are the ones made by Sideshow Collectibles. They are always in 1/4 scale, and the most of them are mixed media, which means they have sculpt combined with fabric parts. Usually they fit in the BESTA perfectly, but if their base is too big, it can be difficult - but the shelves can be adjusted a bit without spoiling the 3 stacks/windows theme. If you check the forums, I'm sure you can find pictures of the particular pieces that you consider inside a BESTA. :)

Can you put 2 quarter scale statues in each cabinet?
Yes. But it requires the statues to be not too big overall. Many new 1/4 scale statues have very elaborate bases and lots of stuff going on. Then it becomes difficult. But if you check one of my other videos there are many examples.

win toto They are quarter scale. They range between 18 - 24 inches depending on the sculpt.

win toto I know that IKEA changed their product line. So my product IDs might be out-dated by now. They made new models with slightly different measurements. But I think they are still suitable for this purpose.
