I love footy and I love Conan. They're trying to make a bit in 38 degree heat dead underneath an airport. Most of those players wouldn't have ever seen Conan, as they are early twenties Australian professional athletes - not exactly Conan's biggest demo. The Australians shitting on this in the comments need to have a good hard look at themselves, and the Conan fans need to calm down. This 74 year old ginger should have internally combusted in that heat, but he is fearless. Haven't seen Fallon or Kimmel try this, so try backing ya boy in one time you mob of whingers. for the record, there are other teams whose names are ferocious animals, brisbane lions, richmond tigers, western bulldogs, hawthorn hawks, west coast eagles, collingwood magpies. (yes magpies are ferioucious and you can't argue otherwise unless you've been swooped by one)

Things go down. That's why the Italy and Japan trip with Jordan was a hit. It was more a banter between friends, to deepen the relationship than the destination. We were more invested in their to and fro convos than the destination. Also the Korean trip was good too with Steven yuen and that Korean teacher. The people and environment complemented him very much. I particularly love that Buddhist temple one, every quip landed. If the place doesn't give much, next bet is to take with him somebody fun. Otherwise Conan's goofiness sticks out like a sore thumb and everybody would be laughing fake and weird.
Way better than the 'hat' bit - and could someone please remind the guy introducing/hosting this that brevity is the soul of wit and therein lies a clue on when to zip it. He talks too much - probably a nice guy but a camera hog.

For our American friends... Sydney Swans are hated by most supporters because they cheated for most of their time in Sydney. Because Sydney is a big city that is a non-traditional AFL city... the AFL only care about TV rights money.... so for 20 years the AFL made sure the competition was going to be uneven and gifted Sydney extra salary cap concessions that no other real team in the AFL were allowed to get. It basically allowed them to poach some of the best players from other teams and create a fake team of stars. That's the only reason they ever had success because they used to be the laughing stock of the competition. It would be the equivalent of the NBA bringing in a hard salary cap for all teams except for the LA Lakers and New York who would get an extra 10% salary cap... just because they need those franchises to be successful... and then if any other team in the competition dared to go over their salary cap they'd be hit with financially crippling fines and loss of draft picks. Being gifted an unfair advantage wasn't enough though... Sydney decided to misuse their salary cap to cheat and play star players even more than they should have. When the AFL found out... they just quietly phased out the salary cap concessions over 10 years (As it will take 10 years for their players to all be paid their contracts).... and it's still being phased out to this day. No fines or loss of draft picks which is what should have happened. People in Sydney don't even know who the Sydney Swans are as they follow the bum sniffers (Rugby) Conan should have gone and seen a real AFL team instead.
