      Hahaha yeah... He was so full of shit.
      Kerry Packer is an excellent lesson in the power of charisma given how many people think so highly of him based on this charade.
      At 1:07:30 ---> ruclips.net/video/xOLbbkC1qq0/видео.html
      Packer is lying through his teeth. And it is one of the main cruxes of this entire 2 hour recording. The subsequent events to this hearing tell the full story.
      Amazing how easily people are bamboozled by a con man.
      Most of the irrelevant factoids he's spouting sound incredible because they're tid bits from the narrative of his own extremely powerful and privileged life. It's a peek behind the curtain so to speak. So, it is somewhat mesmerising.
      But on the substance of why he was appearing, he was doing his best at trying to hoodwink the inquiry and the public. To his credit, he pulled that off as far as he could control.
      Unfortunately the truth came out with respect to his relationship with Mr Black...

      The internet created a special kind of ignorance - splitting public bases of knowledge and dissemination, and allowing bigots to live in bubbles where they only hear like-minded voices. But foremost - publication used to have rigour, but not anymore. Crap parades as fact, and feelings outweigh reason - and at every turn. The newspapers and magazines named still publish, in case you are not an Australian person.

    Watching from Kenya I can say the pie is bigger enough in Australia and how is why people can discuss economic matters smoothly.
    I am sedated by watching this program it has been absolute gem. Well done the country Australia.
    I think I should move out of my country while I can if structural changes are not made. I don’t understand why we should have to speak three languages in Kenya and why we should pretend our national pie is enough to go to school when the pie is not worthwhile anyway. Forty two tribes and three languages the squeeze is not worth the juice.

    At 29:40 Rodney Sawford (ALP) from Port Adelaide cites 1986 Ontario information about Conrad Black and his "track record" as of 1991. Eventually Black was called before the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in December 2003 but he refused to answer questions about business dealings, citing his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination.
    I recall having dinner at David's in early 1990 and sitting next to Conrad. The lady with him was gorgeous perfect...kind of like the billboard at Brisbane Airport..."beautiful one day and perfect the next".
