I use to do builds like this when I was a young fellow ...they didn't have computers then , there were even a bunch of twits around at that time who use to tell me , that what i did was a waste of time . lol Anyway ,......love your work Chris ......it's good for the brain . Well done
Absolutely fantastic! Almost beyond belief in the amount of detail you have put into this model. It is a stunning work of art and engineering. WOW, WOW, WOW! And the work you put into the video must have been exhausting! Thank you Chris for this amazing series that brought back many memories of viewing LOST IN SPACE in the 1960s while sitting in my grandmother's lounge room.
OMG! You are just so talented! This model is fantastic. I'm a huge LOST IN SPACE fan. You must have spent months on this, well done. Your JUPITER 2 model is the best that I have ever seen. Congratulations on a job so very well done. DM.
Thank you. Spent about 6 months on it, and that was during the beginning of Covid when I was unemployed and worked on it almost 8 hrs a day. Had Covid not have happened, it probably would've been a year long or so.
That is the nicest model of anything I have ever seen !!! Great frickin job ! Now we just need your grand kids to grab like they just don't care and fling like a crazy Frisbee against the wall !! Lol !
Absolutely AMAZING. Great attention to detail. The reel to reel tape spinning...all of it. This took me back to my childhood. If you did a black and white filming, you could pass it off for being an original scene from the series. Even the colors match up to the colorized version. This is nostalgic and IMPRESSIVE!!! GREAT JOB. Of all the models I've seen built by you and other modelers of Star Trek, Star Wars, or other franchise ships, as amazing as those are, this by far beats all of them in y personal opinion. Maybe my opinion is because it brought the magic of the show to me as it was as a child, sentimental...but doggone I love this model build.
Those lights at the helm are incredible. So elaborate for something that you can't even see with the lid on. Now that is commitment. (It would be cool if the doors next to the round window opened up.) I love it.
Incredible and WELL DONE. I am still working on my Millennium Falcon build but as I’m waiting on parts I have 3 smaller Battlestar Galactica builds- the Galactica, Viper MII, and a Colonial Raptor. A lot of what you have shown in this build and your other has inspired me and has made me a better builder. Lots to go, but this padawan learner really appreciates the “schooling” and the clinics you have shown here. Looking forward to the next one!
Simply amazing - a lost artform in the era of computer generated graphics. It takes Time, attention to detail and passion, which seem to be in short supply at this point.
I’m a fine-scale HO train modeler and recently started modeling aircraft and rockets from the 1960s (mostly old Revell kits). I do a lot of fiber and LED lighting in my HO setup, and when I recently picked up a Mobius Jupiter 2 along with a Seaview submarine from a neighborhood hobby shop, I decided I wanted to do a full lighting scheme on them. Lord knows I have drawers of lighting. I’m currently living in Japan and the nice old woman who owns the shop where I bought it has the most amazing inventory of old and rare models stacked floor to ceiling! I bought the models on a whim. I was actually in for paint...... so it goes. Perhaps my childhood got the better of me! I ordered the Paragrafix decal and photoetch kits for the Jupiter as you are using, along with the fusion core lighting. I haven’t unboxed it yet and it’s been sitting, waiting for me to finish a couple of models I’ve been working on. I’ve watched your entire Jupiter build series and you gave me some excellent ideas for my build. I was fascinated to be able to see the component parts before I peel the wrapping off of the box and get an idea of what I’ll be working with, and where I can route fiber and wiring. I suspect it’ll be a few months before I get to it (moving back to Texas very soon) but I wonder if you’d be willing to offer a thought or answer a question from time to time as I get underway. Clever idea with the geared motor on the computer tape reels! Although I did cringe when I saw you placing individual .25 mm fiber in each of those three instrument panel’s holes. You either have extraordinary patience or, like me, you’re a stickler for absolute detail. I’ve detailed things no one, apart from me, will ever likely see. Lol.
Truly OUTSTANDING BUILD! Mr. Irwin Allen would recruit you, IN a HEARTBEAT if he were around today! You totally captured and recreated the Jupiter 2 in amazing detail! I like how you even make the 'reels' of the "flight deck computer", 'spin'!
Surprising, exceptional, wonderful I saw the entire series of this model without stopping. I think it is the most detailed interior build model and the best lighting I have ever seen. I don't think I can see any better, congratulations.
I bought this model back in the 90's. It's still in the box. The interior was sold separately which I never bought. I don't know if the interior is available anymore. I've built lots of models in my time but this one seems very complicated. I may eventually use it for something else. Remember Irwin Allen's City Beneath The Sea? 1971. At the beginning they showed New York City in 2053. They used a Jupiter 2 as the top.of a skyscraper in the background.
OMG, I’m jealous. You did amazing on everything…. the lights and sounds, the painting, everything. Stunning. I’ve been a LIS fan since the show launched in 1965. Fantastic buddy.
OUTSTANDING!!! The best testament of TRUE Passion and Dedication that I have seen and a Delight to observe the carefully detailed elements you brought to life. As a True Admirer of the show from its inception I dare not to wake up from this Beautiful Manifested Dream. BRAVO!!!👏
Man, you’re my hero! Absolutely incredible! Loved the little touches to detail like the spinning tape reels (@4:35) and the authentic alarm (@7:30) and console lighting. Mind blown!!
Awesome, I just finished my Jupiter kit and it's one of my favorite things. Thanks for your series on the Jupiter 2 it was fun watching you build yours, and made it easier to build mine 😀
This is soooo impressive!!!! Thank you for making a little dream that one can look and remember as if we had entered the ship at one point in our lives for real. You are the best!
WHAT an Amazing Model you have made here , i have the model here myself , I've not attempted to make it yet i need to buy all the lighting first .. I have a Robot B9 to fit into it when its done .. it's going to be my retirement project .. I just hope i will be able to get the lighting for it .. I absolutely love this.... well done thats dedication for you .. thank you for showing..
While watching this amazing replica of the Jupiter 2, the attention of detail is amazing, Thank You for your effort, though it was a difficult build, you did a very very good job thank you again. I watched every episode of Lost in Space when I was a child on Sunday nights. in my hometown Battle Creek Michigan. Unfortunately my TV was black and white 20'inc. I had to go over my grandmother's house to watch it in color when it started to came out in color. GREAT JOB. :-)
Same here. So funny. I couldn't wait for the show to come out after watching all the super exciting previews. I was 8yrs old and it killed me to have missed that first show. I saw every one after that though. It took me years to find the rerun of that first show back then.
This is a spectacular build and the detail is amazing! You look like you could just sit in the flight chairs and fly away! The time you spent on this is beyond words because you surely put a ton of blood, sweat and tears of joy doing this beauty! Model builders like you are as rare as the Hope Diamond! Very nicely done, sir!
This is a sublime master work of Sci-Fi awesomeness. I just want to crawl up in there and take a nap on the Jupiter 2's floor. Amazing, awesome work Mr. Olson!
So- when do we Miniaturise Ourselves for the First Test Flight? This is Truly Crafted with Devotion! It’s Truly A Love Letter To The Show and Everyone Associated With It! Superb!
This is one of the most amazing and detailed SF models that I have ever seen. A really beautiful piece of work. One very minor criticism. The three computer displays on the main panel look great, but they are pure white, whereas they were more of an amber color on the show.
The attention to detail is just astounding. Beautiful job. Well done. Thank you very much for sharing this with us. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed this.
Fantastic job! As for that spinning radar, as a kid I always wondered how they were supposed to see anything on that. Someone would say "Look!", point to the console and it would show a closeup of that display, always looking exactly the same.
Very impressive! I have the model but have not ventured to try and build it. Even if I did it would be nothing like what you’ve done. My hats off to you😁.
What you have accomplished here is not just simply a skill; it is quite clearly a GIFT. This level of craftsmanship is beyond extraordinary....
I use to do builds like this when I was a young fellow ...they didn't have computers then , there were even a bunch of twits around at that time who use to tell me , that what i did was a waste of time . lol Anyway ,......love your work Chris ......it's good for the brain . Well done
I was told the same thing back in the 60's and 70's. Some people just dont get that it is three dimensional art work. Dont be discouraged, brother!
Those twits who told this was a waste of time are the looser that don't know how to hold a hammer.
Perfection is the word. Congratulations!

*Simply kick-a^^. Bless the incredible artisans across RUclips who keep the flames of our nostalgia burning so brightly and beautifully.* 🏆
This piece should be in museum!!!
Thank You
Astounding! I have loved this ship all my life. You deserve a medal.
All the ship is missing is the crew! What a beautiful ship and the work involved was amazing.
very nice man, love this ship. The end result is well worth your effort IMO.
Absolutely AMAZING. Great attention to detail. The reel to reel tape spinning...all of it.
This took me back to my childhood.
If you did a black and white filming, you could pass it off for being an original scene from the series.

@@modelsbychrisno sir thank you for bringing to life a childhood memory
Absolutely gorgeous model. Your attention to detail is second to none. I am both jealous and in awe. Kudos to you sir.
Spectacular job sir! A testament to your attention to detail!
Those lights at the helm are incredible. So elaborate for something that you can't even see with the lid on. Now that is commitment. (It would be cool if the doors next to the round window opened up.) I love it.
Your work is really inspiring. The detail is incredible. Thank you so much for this video! It’s amazing to see it completed.
Wow, that's a lot of work. Great job and very nice detail. Hats of and great respect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You're a Genius! No doubt about it! This JUPITER 2 Is So Incredibly Cool ! Your skills are Brilliant!👍👍👍👍👍
✌❤🙂
Love the detail--the interior lighting, instrument panels---splendid job!
This is by far the best reproduction I have seen. What a massive attention to detail and it is well worth it. Incredible.
Excellent model. I use to watch LIS when I was in 5th, 6th, and 7th grade. I still can't wrap my head around where they got room for the lower deck.
Wow! CONGRATS! You did a fantastic job recreating the Jupiter 2 with great visual and technical precision! All the best!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻
Wow! Really nice!
It’s Absolutely Beautiful ❤
