When I was little, my parents had a surprise or me; I was in a car with Mr Jonathan Harris aka Dr Smith, and I was speechless. Mr Harris couldn’t have been nicer, and kinder with me, and watching this brings a smile and melancholy to me. I had the Robot (B() and a Jupiter 2 (which I STILL have, in EXCELLENT condition. No, I wouldn’t sell my stuff, too many memories).

I couldn't agree with you more, even with only a few TV channels to choose from during those years, compared to hundreds of channels today, watching tv was a 1000 times better.

you're so right, back then, families watched tv together, everyone knew the show's, everyone knew the characters, and could even talk about it at school or work the next day, and the biggest part about it, to watch these shows, all of tv actually, cost nothing, free, nada, and we enjoyed them all much more than the crap that people pay a $100+ a month now, to watch tv.
You can bet, the show's on tv now, no one on this planet will be reminiscing on what was on tv 50 years from now

    • @tleav61

carl evans. No doubt. Your right on the mark, Carl. I remember Dad use to like to watch Gunsmoke on Monday nights. We all gathered around to watch it. I don’t remember him liking Land of the Giants, but he liked the other ones. Star-Trek, Voyage to the bottom of the Sea. Not sure about Lost in Space though. Anyway, yeah....memorable shows that are still on T.V today.

Fantastic video of one of my favorite shows in classic TV. Bill Mumy is a Class Act and seems like a great guy. I wanted to be Will Robinson when I was a kid. Jonathan Harris still has it as dr. Smith. It's too bad they couldn't get Dick Tufeld to provide the voice for the robot. But still a great video. Love Lost in Space

One of the aspects of the ship that drew my attention and held me in awe aside from the robot was or were the stasis pods which held the entire crew individually in place during their journeys. To a young boy in the 60s seeing it for the first time it was completely mind blowing!

Same here, I must admit at the time I wish it would have stayed more sci-fi like the first few episodes of season 1, but now I love the comedy and the campiness of it. Doctor Smith throwing all the insults at the robot, makes me worry once we have artificial intelligence, they are going to cancel the re-runs because of Doctor Smith harassing the robot.

Will and Dr Smith were the show and I love that the bond between them stayed strong through out the years until the death of Jonathan, if you don't see the love and respect in these two guys then your blind, i will admit Dr smith would sometimes get me upset when I watched the show but that's because he played his part well which at the time I didn't get, but if as an actor you can get the viewers to ether love you or hate you because of the script your playing then you did your part well, thanks for the memories.
