Best of British Steam: Steaming through Summer 2019

Best of British Steam - Volume 2
Over the Summer months this year, a large variety of locomotives took to the rails at preserved railways all around the South coast - and on the Mainline, demonstrating practices from numerous designers. From Gresley to Bulleid, Riddles and Hawksworth to Wainwright and Maunsell, Summer has brought out some of the best that British Steam has to offer.
Filmed at 6 different preserved railways, and on the Mainline, this video features over 20 locomotives; demonstrating the variety and diversity of the steam locomotives that have survived into preservation in Britain. As well as this, the video showcases the countless hours devoted by volunteers across the country, to keep the memory of steam alive in Britain for the future generations to enjoy.

Safety Valves lifting. Don't worry, it's not out of the ordinary - just a safety system to prevent an over-pressurised boiler.
