Messed up the intro a little bit. The audio should have synced up with the images, but they are a little desynced😅either way I hope you enjoy the video
I'm a Live2D artist who dabbles in rigging. Your first model is GOING TO BE SCUFFED. There WILL be mistakes. That's how learning works. You start off making mistakes and then you improve over time. You are doing SO well. Hopefully you're motivated to improve in the future, I believe that you'll succeed. Also is that Rune Factory music in the background??
Thank you for the encouraging words it means a lot to me ^-^ I definitely want to try again in the future, but I think for now i'll stick with illustrations. Yes! It is rune factory music in the background!😊
It is honestly really nice that RUclips is starting to recommend smaller creators now with more niche content. I am glad I found your video and keep on going!
The model turned out great, especially for ypur first one! It really suits you too^^ Im taking this video as my sign to stop being afraid and finally making my own model too
I'm currently in the process of drawing my model (not rigging) and this was really helpful!! Being able to see the things you would do different in retrospect when you were preparing the original file is great. The mention at 3:53 about labelling based on the characters left & right made me go...oh no...and so now I'm on a journey to rename my 300+ layers 😆 Thank you so much for giving us this insight into the process!
I'm really glad that it was helpful! My main inspiration for making the video was exactly for this reason, and I made so many mistakes during the process😭
You don't have to rename it! I have all my L and R flipped as well and I rigged it anyways, you just have to remember during rigging that L is R and R is L
@Ceilvia This is true!! I probably wouldn't have made the effort if it was just for me - but I'm handing this over to my rigger and I would prefer not to cause them any potential confusion so I've renamed them all
Your journey is so impressive! Honestly, I’ve been in an art block for over a year now but watching your video inspired me to try drawing something again! Thank you, and I wish you luck in your next project! :D
Thank you! I was also in an art block for the longest time, but making these videos has really helped to keep me motivated to keep drawing. Making these videos has really pushed me to keep trying to learn new things! :D
I recently did something similar!! It's nice when youtube recs smaller creators, your model looks great and it was so interesting seeing your process!! :D
Nice to know that there are other people who tried something similar! I love when youtube recommends smaller creators to me as well, there are so many channels out there with amazing content. I'm glad you like like the model :D
KOMOOOOOOOOOOO what a solid video, well done on tackling this without any buffers and just going into it! Really nice to see you're completely honest on your mistakes and presenting them so others don't make the same mistakes, and well done on learning so much in so little time :))
Honestly so heckin cool, especially for a first model, ofc there'll always be scuff to start but what is vtubing if not scuff. Amazing work, I'm absolutely following to see more of what you do
This was very helpful! I am currently walking the same path.i am drawing my model atm. I used ur trick and saw all the holes.there was alot! But hey i can fix it now rather then be scuffed later! So thank you!!
WOW I could never learn something like this in a week u did amazing ! By the look of it 10% of the work is drawing and then it's all wrestling with the program which sounds like a nightmare, huge props to all VTuber artists !
I did something similar with my model and made a really rough one that works within a week too! I enjoyed watching this a lot and immediate follow when I heard the RF4 music in the background ❤
Glad to know that there were others like me that tried to make a model within a week! Really happy that others know that the background music is from RF4 😭❤
Liquifying everything is a great way to describe it! Honestly this is a great first try. My first rig barely had any physics and my head angles were Eldritch horror levels bad lmao. Nice work!
Watching this vid is enough for me to be convinced to subscribe! I like your energy and you posting your journey is encouraging for another artist whos also considerng on making a vtuber. Keep making these!!
Thank you! Showing my journey was a big inspiration for making these videos in the first place. Artists usually only post their best works online, and I wanted my videos to show off all of the stuff in between that goes into making these finished works!
Great vid! Im a newbie artist and about to start doing this today and have to finish by 28 with also zero experience. Thanks for showing me the process aka hell im about to go through
I hope this video will be able to help you in your process. Make sure to watch others videos on the process as well to help you along. I wasn't able to touch on everything that I wanted to say in my video, but I wish you luck in your journey!
Thank you! I was honestly nervous about posting this video because I was scared of the reception that it would get from people more experienced in live2d, but everyone has been so kind 😭If I have any questions I'll be sure to reach ou! ❤
10 seconds in and I already love your editing and i subscribed !! >< I want to make my own vtuber model too but i keep putting it off~ this inspired me! please make more videos >u
I'm happy that you enjoyed the video! Give Live2d a shot, I think your first model will always be rough no matter what. You will learn so much more with actual experience with the program that I could never explain in my videos
dude is very underrated, that was really good! and to think that you could do that in seven days is astounding to me, that shows you're dedication and commitment, looking forward to more of your vids bruv, thank you for the vid!
New here I love the look of your Vtuber model it turn out super cute! ☺️ thanks for sharing ❤ now I’m thinking about retrying to work on my 2dvtuber model. Hope to see more videos from you. 🤗🤗🤗 keep up the good work! 🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽
Thank you for the great video. while i dont really do rigging or even art, it does make me realise that u can just find a tutorial if you broken your task enough. to do mouth rig just youtube the mouth tutorial to do hair search that instead. I do engineering design and I have a particular design stuck. now i know that i just have been lookin at it too big of a problem. i just need to break it down further. thanks dude. have a great year o7
I think it is also the same way for art as well! Breaking things thing into smaller shapes like eyes, hair, body, etc. I slowly learned to draw characters by breaking them down into pieces and learning from multiple sources. Hope you have a great year as well! o7
Great job, this is extremely inspiring! I’ve been considering designing my own model as well! Just motivation… Did you draw the design for your model in Photoshop? If not is there a better place to draw it?
Thank you! I did all of the design in Clip Studio Paint. I don't think it really matters what program you choose as long as you seperate all of your layers properly.
Anybody can learn how to draw! Drawing is something that takes a while to get a hang of, but it is very rewarding as you continue to improve. I never could have imagined that I would be able to draw like this even in a million years. I hope you give it a shot!
It wasn't that bad😭I think the reason it was so difficult was because I didn't research enough before I started. If I ever attempt this again I think i'll be able to do a much better job!
It depends on the resolution of your model. For me it was not very resource intensive. I think you would have to download it and try it yourself to see how it performs. I have a ryzen 2600, rx 6650 xt and 32gb of ram😊

Thank you! ❤️
great job! makes me want to give it a go someday
Give it a go! It was an amazing learning experience!

thank you for sharing your experience in. I'll take note of your process if I ever try live2d ^_^

It’s very good as for your first model!
tyty I was super happy with it :D
wow this is amazing progress in 7 days ! not gonna lie, live2D is pretty intimidating. i wouldn't be able to speedrun it like this lol
Thank you! I didn't think I would be able to either. It was very intimidating, but i'm glad that I did it!
@@komogu_ will you continue with live2d ? i think it would be inspiring to see where you could go from here ☺️

Always fun to learn a new skill!

Impresive, now the elefant in the room, How much it will be the cost that you will put if someone ask you to make an Vtuber model :D
I don't know :p
Jejeje ok@@komogu_
here before you make it big
Thank you! Hopefully I do!
I want to do something like this tooo for my model ;;
Give it a try! I didn't think I would be able to do it either until I tried.
At the intro all i could hear was the periodic table...
Now that you commented it, I can't unhear it...
OMG IT LOOKS SO BAD, I LOVE IT😭😍😍
also, happy 666 subs♡ (im the 666🥰)

Are we need a high spec PC to rigg L2D model? Can i ask your PC specification?
It depends on the resolution of your model. For me it was not very resource intensive. I think you would have to download it and try it yourself to see how it performs. I have a ryzen 2600, rx 6650 xt and 32gb of ram😊
8:44 unironically i think physics settings are one of the easier parts of rigging, so don't feel too intimidated lol
I will definitely give it another shot!
music at 8:10 sounds familiar whats it from??
All of the music in the video is from Rune Factory 4!
Based.
:D
Intro took me out lol 😂
Glad that you liked it! It took a while to make, but it seems like it was worth it!
💘💘💘💘💯
💘💘💘
lol try making one on procreate xD you can only have 47 layers or something and you have to make it on seperate projects
I don't even want to think about it😭
.V my mind it's like. Gonna get this guy a subscribe
ty!
Anyone else think this looks 3d? Like when 3d tries to mimic 2d
I noticed that too! I think its because the model has thin lines and simple cell shading ^^
Do you do commissions?
Sorry I don't take comissions right now😔
First 🔥🔥
🔥🔥
You can draw how is this zero experience?
I had zero experience of making vtuber models and zero live2d experience. You can do the same too if you wanted to as well! Would just need to commission art that is cut up for live2d and start learning to rig.
Why didn't you have an eyelid at least on top you had eyelid out line
Didn't think that far ahead 😔
