Movie: Saturday Night Fever (1977)
Lyrics:
Oh, girl I've known you very well
I've seen you growing everyday
I never really looked before
But now you take my breath away
Suddenly you're in my life
Part of everything I do
You got me working day and night
Just trying to keep a hold on you
Here in your arms I found my paradise
My only chance for happiness
And if I lose you now I think I would die
Oh say you'll always be my baby
We can make it shine, we can take forever
Just a minute at a time
More than a woman, more than a woman to me
More than a woman, more than a woman to me
More than a woman, oh, oh, oh.
There are stories old and true
Of people so in love like you and me
And I can see myself
Let history repeat itself
Reflecting how I feel for you
Thinking about those people then
I know that in a thousand years
I'd fall in love with you again
This is the only way that we should fly
This is the only way to go
And if I lose your love I know I would die
Oh say you'll always be my baby
We can make it shine, we can take forever
Just a minute at a time
More than a woman, more than a woman to me
More than a woman, more than a woman to me
More than a woman, oh, oh, oh

One of the few films 🎥 that the soundtrack was just as good as the movie.
No matter how many times I watch this scene i never tire of it. Just wonderful
You can't often say that a cover version of a Bee Gees song is better than the brothers but I make the exception with the Tavares on this one....timeless!
agreed
I love this version of More Than A Woman.
This was my favorite scene.
I was pregnant with my son and i thought my husband loved me----crap,but the weird thing my son has john travoltas beautiful eys and dark lashes. istill have fond memories of this film and the 70s + 80sxxx
What makes this is the suburb camerawork in the second half as it flows - sheer brilliance and all credit to the camera crew for making it something that is iconic of its time and I never marvel at seeing it. Movie magic
One of my favs 😍
I remember I felt so happy watching this scene in the movie theatre back in the 1970s
I wish I could experience that too. I was born 17 years later after the movie.😁
The disco dancing in the 70's was brilliant in Saturday night fever, could any person be prepared to put the hard work for it?
This scene reminds me of when I first saw this movie, and I was still naive enough to believe that romantic love was actually possible ...
Great scene from a great movie. Travolta made three great musical movies in a row (Saturday Night Fever, Grease, and Urban Cowboy), all different and all wonderful.
This is probably one of my all time favorite scenes throughout the whole movie. Tony and Stephanie dancing and interacting with one another. Especially when Tony taught Stephanie how to do the tango hustle. I especially love this version of More Than A Woman. This song, the movie, and other disco songs take me back to when I was living in Pittsburgh, PA. There used to be radio station called 92.9 and every Saturday night from 9:00 to midnight, they would always play disco music at Chauncey’s Station Square, and I would always listen to it the whole time. Those were the days. This is one of my favorite movies as well.
I would choose to be born in like 1958 in 2 seconds, deadass serious don't even care if I'd be like 68 now it's worth it lol
Oh the joy back then I wasn't alive but I can feel it
Love the twirling at the end ....
Epic scene for a rehersal.
One of my all time favorite movies ❤️
this beatiful scene this art and the soundtrack is great in absolut.
GRRRRRRRR8 video! Thank you soooooo much Patix for posting this! My favorite movie of all time! One of the very few movies I have ever watched more than once....7X when it first came out & many more over the years! IMHO....the best scene in the movie AND the best song! Everything Tavares did was aaaaahmazing!! And, many thanks for including the lyrics too!!
You are welcome! I’d like to watch it too in that year but I wasn’t even born😁They have great chemistry berween each other.
@@biancanera OMG did they ever!
The 70’s was an incredible time especially for music! I worked at 2 discos on Rush Street in Chicago as a cocktail waitress on the weekends besides teaching during the week! Loved it! At least you have it now to watch anytime you want! 😊
I love seeing Sarah and Tony dancing 🕺 More Than A Woman, especially when they’re at the dancing 💃 Studio. Jennydebrier
That look like fun 🤣
a magical moment in film ... the Tavares version was my favorite
And then they let go in the twizzy scene, bash their heads against the pillars, they're unconscious, the ambulance comes.. It's a mess! Thank God they changed the original story!
Oh god that’s what I was afraid of the first time I watched this scene. I thought Tony’s long body was gonna smash against one of those pillars
this scene WAS THE FUCKING MOVIE, RIGHT HERE,, 5MINS,, NOT ONLY THAT,, when they WON at the end the movie, um,, it wasn't hard at all actually ,, other couple was greattttt no lie,, but it wasn't even close. just saying
