Man Disney should make more videogames like they did back in the day, they always had a special feeling to them
Lion King is still one of the best games they published.
Good news buddy
The best thing this lifts from its obvious Rayman inspiration is the absolutely tight stretchy character controls. Everyone stops exactly where you expect them to and jumps exactly as you want. No skidding or floating or feeling like the game cheated you out of a jump.
If you're a big platform fan it tickles that comfortable feel. Very glad I picked it up.
There's no fast movement, though, which was hard to accept at first. It does make the game more relaxing.
Oh man! I’ve been pining for another Rayman game. This might just scratch that itch!

Rayman Legends + Super Mario 3D World is what I got from the trailers.
I am so glad they are keeping the illusion series alive through nods, last one was on 3DS. They are the best mickey platformers available.
Wait this counts as part of the same series as Castle of Illusion and the Epic Mickey 3DS game?
@@zigslotheon I would say very loosely they both I think are paying homage in the title, power of illusion on the 3ds also in a lot of the gameplay.
I just think it is cool that they are keeping the name alive.
i hope this goes crazy, we need more hand drawn 2d platformers. definitely going to be playing it soon

It might be next to impossible. But I wish there was a Donald Duck game based on the Car Barks Comics . Where you could walk in an open world Duckbergh . Just because Donald has always been my favorite character.

This reminds me of the World of Illusion game I used to play as a kid on Sega. Same vibes. I loved that game.
The artstyle makes me miss that one Mickey Mouse series 😭😭 whyd they had to cancel it!
They came out with “The Wonderful World of Mikey Mouse” in 21 I don’t think it’s been cancelled yet.

Fun game!! Had it since launch day and just beat the main story. So glad they allow respawning a lot in levels other games aren't as forgiving.
Hard not to like this game. A finding that will probably go unnoticed by many people.
The lead character designer for this game also worked on Battletoads 2020 if I'm not mistaken

My wife and I got this game because we love Disney, and we love how tight the platforming is! Great game for Disney fans and platforming fans in general.
Man, I almost forgot that this game was releasing today. Definitely going to be playing this soon; Mickey Mouse was not the IP I thought would get a Rayman-like platformer, but I'm not complaining in the slightest.

I bought the game and have some of the same thoughts. A little “combat” would have added some nice diversity. And I think they could have added elements like that without allocating attacks that damage enemies.
I think Mickey could have maybe been able to draw things like barriers to block or bubbles to float enemies away.
Minnie could maybe spray water from her flower and stop enemies from moving.
Donald could maybe get angry and yell scaring them away.
Goofy could have sprayed them with syrup making them stuck.
And then you could have found things to improve their ability range, amount, etc.
I forgot about this game and didn’t realize it was releaseing but I do want to play it
I hope to grab this someday. Love me some platfromers. (Oh especially a physical release if it’s available)

This is a 4-player game, and adding her would make it 5-player.
Same thing applies for Pluto. I think they can work is great characters. Only problem is they want to make the game 4 player and a 6 player platformer would be a living nightmare let’s just hope in the future they do make DLC and include them

Who gets stuck with all the bad luck? No one but Donald Duck.
In the early days. Huey, Dewey and Louie were real terrors. They calm down much later on in the Carl Barks comics and you can see this in both iterations of DuckTales. But in the early cartoons and comic strips they were destructive forces of nature. I imagine they wrecked Donald's house but don't know for certain.

Don’t be deceived this is a Metroidvania platformer, it’s really good though and the style and humour is spot on with that 2010 series…well I suppose we really mean the 2020s continuation “Wonderful World” now don’t we?
