That is such a cool build. It’s like the Ghost Grappler was built for the groupset. The big cassette on a drop bar bike looks so good and I bet it’s so practical. I love the idea of putting one groupset on all my bikes. Maintenance would be a dream.
Awesome! I really do wait duals with internal routing from Microshift. For now, I`m using XLE derailleur with bar-end shifter from you. Thank you for your job.
Local shop Big Sky build me a custom Gohst Grappler, color is sick.. Much better than my 2017 Norwiegen Brown Surly ECR, Gave it to someone who needed a bike because l have 2 other bikes also. He is very happy with racks.. Love the axels and went with Sram Rival and nice wheels... Definately a Surly, Well Built and Steel feel the weight and with 2.8 width on the 27.5 wheels is solid, rolls over everything.. Love the groupset.. I went with Surly truck stop bars because of the rise.. very nice.. Bike climbs well and very comfy, right frame size for me was so nice.. Drop Bars are definately my preference, love the bike
I love this as a good budget gravel group set , it’s what came on my Poseidon redwood, I swapped to the lighter half aluminum casssette . Decent gear range with the 40 tooth up front may swap out for a 42
@@microSHIFTTECH38 upfront was too big for me doing N.Carolina last fall - I've dropped down to 32 for the chain ring - with the 48T low gear I'm at 0.6666 which worked great in the Pyrenees this past summer on 700c wheels.
Bought the Grappler and unfortunately I didn't love the drops, but the conversion to Alt bar was simple and I'm much happier with the trigger shifters. Really pleased with the Advent X so far.
It would be great of you to post a parts list in the description. What size cassette, how many speeds, what size chainring. Its a pretty video but could be more informative.
Why does my advent x shifter skip gears? When going to shift 1 gear it will more often than not shift 2-3 and sometimes 4-5 gears with 1 press of the shifter. It’s kinda of disappointing and frustrating, the shifter has about 1400 miles on it, is that the lifespan of an advent x drop bar shifter?
A Surly so expect a well built steel frame.. .. I love the weight because it rolls nice and solid, also l weigh 200.. if small rider he should go maybe look at carbon .. GG is little lighter than my ECR l think, definately faster

i didn't know 'bike build ASMR' is something that would be so satisfying to me, but here we are.

Yeah, I like a bigger chainring with ADVENT X out back. I prefer 46, but I don't live in the Alps.
I see maybe I will try out a 44

Sweet! Is that a Pedro’s cable cutter/crimping tool?
No, thats a Jagwire Cable Cutter and Crimping tool?
What left shifter is that? Any microshift left shifter? Need to install an internal dropper just like that.

Ok will do
@@microSHIFTTECH its been 2 months you didnt put that parts list

How much is the frame weight of the Surly Ghost Grapler?

Hi guys I have a question have you also a crankset and botombraked from micro shift 1x10, 2x10, 3x10 etz
What cable cutters are you using in the video? Thanks!
Jagwire Pro Crimper and Cutter
Make better sti levers for advent x(especially with integrated cables) that will double the quality of groupset 👍
That's the plan!
