GREAT camera angle, audio, footage, GREAT everything. This is the page that I've been looking for (Y), I'm looking forward to watching more of your videos. :)
Very nice video!! Well done on the smooth landing. Thank you for putting up the words and arrows letting us know what is happening. Not a lot of music covering up the cool sounds either. Great job!
Good to see someone hand flying a 737 and nice visuals with the approach plate! keeping your skills sharp. I wonder how many airline pilots ever hand fly approaches these days.
+Jason Wolffe you talk like "The Most Interesting Man in The World" from "Dos Equis" brand. I don't always comment on RUclips videos, but when I do I say...Rock steady. =)
And at the right angle too. It's fun to see the whole works, but most often it's at the cost of a constantly moving camera. One day I'd like to see a split screen. One side from this angle, and the second view showing the altimeter and speed etc.
+737 dude Really nice camera angle. It captures both the outside and the cockpit great. Do you have to do anything during editing to make the outside and cockpit very clear to see or was it just the placement of the camera?
Why am I not subscribed to this channel?!? Okay now I am. Great stuff! I love the 737. Nice landing! (and I've always loved the sound the trim wheels make).
Well produced video mate. Thanks for going to effort. From cockpit camera view, it’s impossible to have any SA for where the aircraft is now, and what’s next. Your map updates and little arrows make all of this very clear. Great work!
Excellent video. Really enjoyed watching this the way you did it. I liked the music, the speeded up mundane bits, The information on what is happening, and the whole video. 10/10
I know nothing of flying other than being a passenger.... So I appreciate this video... Very cool perspective.... The one thing I find sad in the comments section though is the way some of you that seem to be pilots are so very critical of one another for the most part, not in a nice tone to be helpful .... Where's the brotherhood?or perhaps it's my impression. Or just like in trucking over the past decade brotherhood has been eroding!
Quite the contrary! Yes we pilots are VERY critical to one another, but the flying community is a tight-knit family where we all deeply care and respect another. Being critical is really part of the job, from being a student pilot all the way to captain on a 777 you are criticized by your peers to constantly improve. Its not to show off that one pilot is better or smarter than another, but to remind each other that accidents can be fatal for the hundreds of people sitting behind you. That kind of critical attitude towards one another is what keeps us all safe :)
I haven’t flown since I was 5 years old. I’m 14 now, and I dream of being an a320 pilot. My parents don’t really approve, so I have to get past that barrier. I am researching by RUclips 😝
Hi! I'm a 12 year old future pilot. I was wondering what the "downwind leg" is. I've been training for being a pilot using a lot of simulators and watching videos. Thank you!
+Jenast Picture a rectangle with the runway being one of the long sides. Let's say you're on approach for a landing on RWY 36. If you are flying parallel to RWY 36, descending through the pattern on a heading of 180, you are on the "downwind leg". Since you are parallel to the runway and are flying in the opposite direction compared to the direction you were instructed to land on, you'd have to make a turn perpendicular to the runway, correct? After making this turn, you are on what is known as the "base leg" of the pattern. The problem is, you're flying perpendicular to the runway, now. To correct this, you obviously have to make another 90 degree turn, which would line you up for your landing, and you would hence be on what is called "short final". By now, you should be around five nautical miles out (depends on the aircraft), on the proper glide path, and everything should be set for touchdown (this includes having the spoilers armed and the autobrakes set, if desired).
Hans, Never got to fly airliners but I acquired a Commercial Pilot certificate with instrument and multi-engine ratings. It was hard work over several years. But was it fun? Damned right! There's nothing like it. Aim high, my friend!
+737 dude how do you control the glidepath if this airport doesnt have ils signals for you to follow manually apart from PAPI.please give me the relevant facts thank you.
Thanks for the great virtual ride! I appreciate that it takes time to make these ready for uploading and that is your gift to us for which I am very grateful.. One part I miss though are the sounds of the Crew and the Aircraft, for me that is the music that I want to hear. Thanks again.
+CaptainArt777 You're incorrect, 175Mph is 152Kn and is not at all fast for a landing. It's actually a pretty common landing speed even for larger aircraft such as the C-5 which lands with a full load at 140-150Kn. You must be confused about what is displayed in the primary flight display of these videos as being Mph when it is always Kn since flight is always measured nautically.
So awesome! I have around 3000 hrs on flying sims, nothing like this though! The 737-800 is my favorite commercial airliner to fly. Of course, still learning the functions of the FMS and GPS. Thanks for the upload.
I really enjoyed while watching, it was great record and camera angles also descriptions about flight path. It was one of the best informative videos about how to make visual approach. Thank you for your sharing.
Love this! A visual approach in a 737 would be a dream come true for me. One of my favourite commercial aircraft, looks like it would be much more fun then the larger Boeing’s. Going to be a while before I can get out of the 172S, and put my hands on that sweet ride
"saves time"
"saves fuel"
You failed to mention that it's more entertaining for the pilot :)
Good one mate. I've flown thousands of hours on a turboprop in the military. Leaving now for the airlines, can't wait to get my hands on this bad boy.
Not sure if you'll get a notification for this, but anyways, how's it looking for you?
Is it cool? Please reply
Thank you for your service in the military
flying a 737 as nature intended must be awesome
Funny how something so routine and ordinary is, at the same time, incredibly exhilarating and awe inspiring. Thanks for this!
Haha really nice video! Enjoyed watching :)
Love your videos 😊
He dutchpilot jij ook al😎👌

DutchPilotGirl yahhhh it's really nice video
hello @DutchPilotGirl I love your channel
Nice video, I like the camera angle! :)
+AviationPro, thanks :-)
+AviationPro Agreed, the angle was top-notch!
Me, too.
Vastly enjoyed everything about this video. Love visual approaches, particularly finals accrued from downwind turns. Cheers!
Wow. Shooting the pattern by hand an a 738. Totally awesome. (Pilots really can fly!)
Must be such a joy to hand fly the 737!
Hahah
Two decades ago flying manual was very normal
Now it's strange
But the 737 still have the old style
Foot fly is also joyful
i just opened randomly a flight video and it's about landing to my hometown
Cool story. Blog it
Lets see you butter the bread on runway 22R :)

BEAUTIFUL! Love how you can clearly see the control collumn and throttle. Such a great vid. And the landing wasn't half bad either :p
SUPERB VIDEO! I fly for Southwest Airlines and I NEVER get tired of flying and landing the 737!
2 years to repair a runway? Not even in Italy. Nice landing.
Repaired new runway in GZT :) Since i ve been working on 2020 December 14 :)
That was a nicely annotated video. Teaches you things. =:) Thank you!

Awesome videos, mate!
Excellent video. Very enjoyable and informative.
Good to see someone hand flying a 737 and nice visuals with the approach plate! keeping your skills sharp. I wonder how many airline pilots ever hand fly approaches these days.
I will always find it fascinating that something so massive traveling at such high speed can come to a halt with no issues
I rarely comment on these but for the camera work. Rock steady.
+Jason Wolffe you talk like "The Most Interesting Man in The World" from "Dos Equis" brand.
I don't always comment on RUclips videos, but when I do I say...Rock steady. =)
+Soundscrap it's because the camera is mounted to the plane
And at the right angle too. It's fun to see the whole works, but most often it's at the cost of a constantly moving camera. One day I'd like to see a split screen. One side from this angle, and the second view showing the altimeter and speed etc.
Awesome stuff! Where and how is the camera mounted? really like that view! :)
+PilotsTubeHD, postimg.org/image/gq2txk7sf/
The mount is a "Joby Action Clamp with Locking Arm" and the camera is a cheap "Xiaomi Yi"
+737 dude ah great, thank you! We always had it with a suction cup on the windows, but this here is a nice alternative!
+737 dude Really nice camera angle. It captures both the outside and the cockpit great. Do you have to do anything during editing to make the outside and cockpit very clear to see or was it just the placement of the camera?
Stunning stunning video! A lot of work went into this video and it makes all the difference. Liked, subscribed and waiting for more!
Thank you for making this great video, Man... very clear and detailed... I love the way they approach...

What an Awesome experience - thanks for uploading!
Great flying and great video! Thank you for sharing with us all!
Umm I play flight simulator and I want to critique your every move and decision even tho you are a professional pilot......
Lol
simulators are not like real life, so i doubt ull be of much help :P
@@hifegames3696 thats the joke the point people in the comments who dont know anything and are acting like they do

Smooth landing! Thank you for sharing this video with us.
I really enjoy watching the control yoke move in response to the autopilot during the approach.

Ryan S. Oh I see...
Jenast Yep. Basic stuff.
+Jenast check circuit diagram.
Fantastic video - thank you!
Perfect camera angle and very good, stable recording. Thanks for posting.
hi captain. what about the autothrottle in a visual approach? is it off as the ap is disengage? what your sop says?
Hello Mario, on Boeing 737 the auto throttle is always switched off together with the autopilot.
+737 dude geweldig
+737 dude Wow what a soft landing :D I want to become a pilot too when i get older. Do you have fun being a pilot?
Hans,
Never got to fly airliners but I acquired a Commercial Pilot certificate with instrument and multi-engine ratings. It was hard work over several years. But was it fun? Damned right! There's nothing like it.

OOopps, Guess we get some of each. Very complete with approach maps included. Nice!
Approach speed at 175kn? Wow, that is fast.
+CaptainArt777 You're incorrect, 175Mph is 152Kn and is not at all fast for a landing. 170 knots is the normaly approch i think
+Pomik approach
Pomik It WAS NOT 175Kn it is clearly stated as Mph in the video. And, 175Mph is 152Kn which is a normal landing speed for even larger aircraft.
+CaptainArt777 Yeah, fast for a car, say, or a person (definitely) but for a plane.....? no
I prefer airbus with the scouse accent

Great video! Really like the editing of the video!
Visual approach is good for practice. I like it! :) Nice video, mate!
Seems like he came in a little hot
+Charles Monti Nope, they were nicely on speed.
I hate those people who clap when you land...
+Joshua Morris I clap when there is someone who will hate it...
Joshua Morris its like im gonna clap for the garbage man
Stan Bruining The garbage man and the pilot are not the same work. They are different.
Yes, I would maybe clap if it was really stormy or no visibility or something like that, but not on a normal flight
Nah man autoland
I remember when we landed in Sarasota we did a similar approach to this. That turn seemed to last forever! Was fun in the back haha
Great video! thanks for posting.
Come on, guys!! What's with the stupid dramatic and irrelevant music track?!
I liked the set up of the vid
