    Great shots as always! But when do you know what shutter speed to use when taking pictures like this or on a sunset or rise time?

    • @theschoolofphotography
      @theschoolofphotography  6 лет назад +1

      +Steven Ortiz hi, in the video it shows you the shutter speeds used for the shots. Exposures for sunsets and sunrises will change depending on the effect you want and light available. You really need to learn about photography to get to that point, a few RUclips vids won't do it. We sell a complete guide to photography online courses on our web site. Hope that helps 👍

      Hi, just make sure the gear is in the cold for a while before you use it.

  • @alanalain4884
    @alanalain4884 3 года назад

    Hi, thank you for the video. Pictures are nice and the data along is much appreciated but I'm surprised that as a photography teacher, you do not mention at all the white balance settings so important for snow photography. Because as for exposure, in snow, AWB from camera gives quite funky results. Anyway for the readers, 8000k is a good start, then fiddle up or down.
    Otherwise, may I ask what tripod and head you use ? It looks like a Manfrotto 055XPROB but I'm not too sure...

      The tip I've heard (not in this video) is set exposure compensation to overexpose because your camera will try and make the white gray. IE: play with how much overexposure to get the result you want.
