Mayberry RFD was more of an extension of The Andy Griffith Show bc some viewers were not ready for the end of the Andy show after eight seasons. Tho it wasn't as successful or as popular as the Andy Griffith Show, Mayberry RFD had the same rural, down home, small town character and spirit to it. It did, to me, have a quality of it's own.

The full series DVDs are now for sale. I know it’s not quite Andy Griffith but it does have some great moments nonetheless!❤

At least it wasn’t as bad as AfterMASH.

I loved both shows for what they offered. Unfortunately Andy was tired of the show by the end. Not surprising.

The show kind of sucked when Barney left. That said, it's still better than most shows in the past 10 years. Writers gotta inject their political stupidity in most things now.

Major error! Final episode should have had Sam marry Millie Swanson.

This is not the final episode of the series, just the final Andy Griffith episode on RFD.

Diluted quality. Subpar cast of characters. Just as well tune in to reruns of 1st 5 seasons.

Here Folks... another Karen has spoken... perpetually trolling YT looking for online affirmation.

      Nothing to troll about.
      Nothing to cry about.
The series just went to crap after key characters went missing in action.
That's why I purchased the first five Barney Fife seasons.
Now, that's what I call a real fan of quality comedy TV. Why did you flinch? Are you just a trolling non-TAGS fan?

I remember this episode!! It was gut wrenching when they rolled in blind, legless Gomer after being injured in the Tet offensive.
