    I use a similar method to smoothen skin, but the steps take forever, to sharpen before hand. I really like this, great tutorial! Thanks!

As in this video i do same steps till "high pass" then i clicked high pass my image got very colourful instead of grey colour. than i clicked linear light but photo became completely dark. thats why i can't keep going on. Could you help me to fix it?
    Thank you!

    Why do You use gaussian blur? What kind of difference that it could be use from duplicate layer and single high pas without gaussian? I heard that high pass will work better on Lab chanel, is it right?

    • @bombatpam
      @bombatpam  10 лет назад +6

      TheHotshizzle25 Hi and Thank You for Your question.I will try to use high pass with Lab channel however I don't think there will be a big difference. However I can easilly answer your question about gaussian - as well as you can try to see on your own. If we use only high pass, you can easily notice that our image looks very fake, face will become noisy and hairs will be to bright and sharpen. Gaussian blur simiply breaks edges a bit on the picture and reduce the noise. Thanks that our image looks sharpen and at the same time keeps natural look. Face still will be nice and smooth, and not cracked and noisy. Thank you! ;) Hope my answer was helpful

      Dzięki ;) Nie wiem po co piszę po ang jak już robiłeś poradniki po polsku ;D Zapomniałem, wybacz. A np w porównaniu z inteligentnym wyostrzaniem sprawdza się lepiej high pass? High pass chyba działa bardziej na kontraście, a zwykłe wyostrzanie na wszystkim, tak? No ale jak masz np maskę wyostrzającą to też można wymazać wyostrzenie ostatnim suwakiem to nie wiem.

      TheHotshizzle25 Hej jak coś postanowiłem ożywić polski kanał. Zobacz u mnie w zakładce polecane nagrywam tam po polsku i postanowilem tam wdrozyc wiecej dyskusji w wideo mysle ze mogę zrobić z tego fajny polski projekt ;)
      A takie pytania jak Twoje na pewno dużo mi w tym pomagają.
      Sam zwykle wcześniej używałem zwykle smart sharpen i sam teraz jeszcze porównywałem. Jesli miałbym wybrać samo high pass czy smart sharpen smart sharpen nie zrujnuje tak zdjęcia (mnostwo osob robi tak ciągle).
      Jakkolwiek wspomniane kontrasty o których powiedziałeś są, ale ja dla mnie nie są znaczne i rujnujące. Co to inteligentnego wyostrzania możemy oczywiście zmniejszac natężenie tego. Ale przyglądając się rożnicą. Przy detalach jak oczy Inteligętne wyostrzanie dodaje troche piaszczystości. Natomiast stosując blur i high pass blur rozbija nieco krawędzie dzięki czemu jest to wyrażnie a zarazem bez piaszczystości. To samo przy włosach, otrzymujemy wyraźnie grube detale i wyostrzenie detali przebiega po całości w przeciwieństwie do ineteligętnego wyostrzania, gdzie niektore miejsca pozostaną bez zmian a niektore zrobią się zbyt wyostrzone.
      Zapraszam jeszcze raz do polskiego kanału ;)

      ***** Znalazłem :) dzięki ;) Masz już suba ;) Ogarnij jeszcze narzęcia nik collection - topaz detail - microcontrast też świetnie wyostrza - 3 opcja. Ale nie wiem jak to w portrecie zadziała. Miałbym małą prośbę odnośnie tutoriala w wolnej chwili ale to może na maila się odezwij co? tygrys_14@op.pl;) Dzięki

    • @bombatpam
      @bombatpam  10 лет назад

      TheHotshizzle25 Oczywiście znam te plug iny i uwielbiam topaz detail! Napewno w przyszłości kiedy podreperuję moja finanse kupuję topaz detail bo do tej pory używałem kilku wersji próbnych. Oczywiście topaz detail ma o wiele większe możliwości niż wyostrzanie przy użyciu photoshopa. Co do nik collection uwielbiam też ale chwilowo cena mnie przerasta ;)
      PS w opisie kanału mam podany email. Śmiało wyślij tam wiadomość ;)

    A very nice tutorial,, however it would be nice to see how to sharpen an image that is not a very well exposed, well-defined professional photo taken with a high-end camera.

    • @ciarancosgrave
      @ciarancosgrave 7 лет назад

      I'd imagine this technique could yield some improvement, with a few tweaks to the opacity etc (strength of the sharpening), but if the photo is badly exposed and taken with a poor sensor and a poor lens, then you are probably getting somewhat in to "making a silk purse from a pig's ear" territory. If the raw materials are bad, then there is only so much you are going to be able to improve upon them.

    Have no idea why you have the blur layer, it's completely overwritten by the high pass, kinda wasted.
