    I actually didn't know the first opponent was stream sniping lol. You guys in chat who are playing against him really shouldn't. Mute the stream and don't read chat when you are playing. Stay honorable chat. Thanks for the stream Nelson! Those were some crazy games!

      In chess,what will be the benifit if someone stream snipe?

    • @kidkid
      @kidkid Год назад +2

      I don't see the issue with stream sniping since there isn't really an advantage to be gained in doing so. He wouldn't be able to tell the difference between a stream sniper and someone who doesn't even know who he is.

    • @arthurrtang9670
      @arthurrtang9670 Год назад +6

      You get to hear Nelson’s thoughts and potential moves that he is considering for the opponent and for himself. You are kind of cheating in a way because you are getting help, which in this case is indirect. If you want to improve and get stronger, it is better to not look at chat or hear Nelson, and focus on your own calculations and thoughts on the position you are in when playing against him.

    • @dqreps
      @dqreps Год назад +4

      @@arthurrtang9670exactly. A situation where you hear your opponent's series of moves and thoughts is most def cheating. And you may even win but you still lose.

    • @arthurrtang9670
      @arthurrtang9670 Год назад

      @kidkid whether he knows it or not, to me it is not very honorable. Sure, you are not directly getting help from an engine, but being able to hear his comments may give you (not always) an advantage. It is up to the player’s choice, since I am not here to force you to not stream snipe

    Hey Nelson, think I spotted a forced checkmate @ 34:09, black to play, checkmate in 3 moves: black Qe2, WRe2, BRd1, BRe1, BRe1, let me know if I'm wrong! (950 player here!)

    • @Rafa-ip3th
      @Rafa-ip3th Год назад +2

      I disagree, although it is a great move which could result in a nice checkmate, it isn’t forced. For example, after Qe2 white could play something like Bg5, connecting the rooks, thereby preventing the back-rank mate and threatening blacks queen, which also gains a tempo.
      But nonetheless great vision, especially for someone your elo, keep it up!
