The breach in the wall connects to the standpipe. When you fill up the tank, the standpipe fills up at the exact same time. Once the water level inside, the Bait area is high enough, this causes the water in the standpipe to reach the filter, socks and spill into them.

Can you explain how the stand pipe works a little more? I don't understand how the water rises😅
