I just made this cake i choose to not throw the yokes away to not waste food. 4 spoons of two percent. It was the best cake Ive ever made lately. I decorated it with raspberry designer sauce. It was the greatest 2018 cake ever!!!!!!! Thank you so much for all you did to post this great recipe. It’s officially my favorite i will always remember this victorious day with the baking gods. Lol

This looks great. I cannot wait to try it. Also, for vanilla flavoring, I use Nielsen.Massey/Madagascar Bourbon pure vanilla extract. It's pricey, about $19.00 but it makes a world of difference in the cakes & recipes that call for vanilla extract. It's also a pretty big bottle & will last a long time.

So I tried making this cake and it was a disaster. I think I over beat the egg whites, use a bit too much half and half and not enough flour. Also, my egg whites, sour cream, and half and half were cold. Perhaps that was my downfall with this cake. It straight up came out looking like a combination of pound cake, angel food cake and flan. I'm going to try again tomorrow though cuz I ain't wasting all that bomb cream cheese frosting.
