Clutch for consoles is left trigger, while right trigger is pressed. So hold the brakes and gas while selecting a gear, then release like a clutch, notice you can mash the left trigger while holding the right trigger and the vehicle doesn't brake, and you can advance a gear, then release left trigger and Bob's your uncle, clutch on console.
whenever I use manual with clutch, when starting on a hill the vehicle rolls down and I can't brake until the engine is on, usually ending up in crashing into my equipment.
Been struggling to try and understand this for a while now, and although this video has made things a little clearer, what i really need to see is how to setup key bindings. I have just bought a G29 Wheel with H-Shifter, but I don't think that it's configured correctly, and I just cannot seem to get it to change gears, and ranges the way that I would like.

Just want to use automatic transmission with a shift forward for driving forward and a shift back for driving backwards. Don't want to use the brake pedal for driving in reverse. I use it like this in ATS and ETS2
Nevermind, I figured it out. Under 'Gear Icon' settings: Set 'Direction Change' and 'Gear Shift Mode' to Manual. Then under under 'Keyboard' icon settings, switch to 'Gamepad Controls' on top right, scroll down to Vehicle-Gearbox, then assign a shifter (or whatever you want) to 'Select Forward Direction' and 'Select Backward Direction'. Now all is right as rain.

For something like that, I have adjusted my key bindings for the shifters 5th gear to be + 1 gear, and 6th gear to be -1 gear. So you can use it more as a sequential shifter.
Can’t change gear with modern tractors just stuck in drive (D) CVT gearbox, setting has to be changed to automatic for Xbox one while using the CVT gearbox’s annoying as hell the shifter doesn’t work as everyone knows n no clutch option plus the best of all there isn’t even a configurations page this is a very big disappointment for me
I wish there was a youtuber that just got straight to the point with all tutorials. example, ( using manual transmission ) To change gears up do this. to change gears down do this. What platform are you playing on? If you're on PC, I found that the Keypad 7/9 config didn't work. So try changing this to something else. Or mapping it to controller. IF you're on Console, It's Right trigger/Dpad left/right.

change shifter group up if your in group A you won't go fast whereas of your in the highest group (depending on tractor) for example group D lets you go faster

Im playing in pc with logitech wheel and I use my mouse to do loader work but for some reason it doesn't work like it changes into neutral whenever I use the loader
Check in your key binding settings whilst in game. And see what your mouse configuration is like under the gearbox settings. It may be configured to select a gear.
This has been a common issue. If you're on PC and kept the original download file. Uninstall the game and reinstall. Also, try not to use any mods that are not from the mod hub right now.

Love your stuff but your voice audio is always low and difficult to hear. Only think I got 20% of what Frank used to say
It's really unfortunate your audio system doesn't have the knob to adjust audio volume. It's quite handy sometimes to have.

Having some issues on Xbox with manual transmission. For instance in the JD 7810 it gets up to 4th gear but I can only go 3mph
Are you in range A? If so, Hold down right trigger and Right D pad.

I figured it out description is wrong it's push left stick and r2 for direct and left stick up and r2 or down for gear up or down. This is for ps4 btw

I had that issue when going in a straight line. Change your Axis 1 dead-zone to 1 or 2%

I want a little headsup on how the shifter works on vehicles that have a lot more than 6 gears like around 10:26 where the truck has 16 gears

That will depend on the type of tractor transmission I believe. If you disable the manual transmission, you can still choose forward/reverse.

Check the description, they're all written in there. Sadly, there's no clutch on Console's as they're limited by the number of butting config's.

Good question. I would assume so. It would be as similar as say having a wheel and a joystick.
I've got a g27 but don't like the shifter, I've got a side panel and a different joystick that would suit a gear stick tbh
