This video was on my feed because big tech knew I bought one a few months ago. I use it while hiking to carry a p365xl, spare mag in main pocket with holster. I cut out the mesh pockets because it snags my finger on the draw. The front pocket holds 2x sof t wides, the hidden slip pocket has a trauma kit with a pair of chest seals, npa, decomp needle, hemostatic and s rolled gauze and small compression bandage. I wear it with the pack belt clipped underneath and have a couple of s biners and paracord going from the top loops to the shoulder pads to help stabilize it.
Do you mean the part where the compression straps used to be? I would be worried that cash would fall out, as it does go all the way through to the other side 🤷🏻♀️
It looks way cleaner. I’m that front slip where compression straps are I just clip pens or a flash light. I have the first version. I want to pick up this 2.0 awesome setup!
You really just need a sharp scissors or blade to cut it off as close as u can to where it originates on the back panel area. Cutting it off at the front is more forgiving because it originates under the fabric of the front pocket of the bag.

I"ve watched both your videos - the initial review, as well as this follow up one - on the 5.11 LV6, and I have a question regarding the two newly-created 'pockets' on the front: do they communicate? Would it be possible to stick something through one end and pull it out the other? I am interested to see if an A40 from ASP would fit through it, as it's approximately the same length as the entire bag. Thanks in advance for any input!
I was thinking of other pouches I've "undone" and they are the Maxpedition Barnacle (I removed the internal divider) and another passport wallet (generic) that I removed the plastic stiffener. Both were done with a threader removal tool.
@enriquediaz7547 it’s funny u say that because if I sit and think I can actually recall a few things I’ve slightly modded in the past including the Maxpedition neatfreak, ALPAKA tech case regular size, and the 5.11 Moab 6!

The mini without a case will fit but maybe not with one on. I don’t have a retro console or a camera so it’s difficult for me to answer with certainty but I feel like all of that together would be a little tight. Sorry I can’t answer more definitively! Thanks for watching 👍

Very cool, I really like any type of bag mods. It does look cleaner. You can add emergency cash in that front section.

Yes! I tried clipping a tactical pen in the front slip and I didn’t love how it looked even though functionally it’s very helpful.
Does your version 1 have the hidden pocket lined with hook and loop like the version 2?

Yes! The newly created front pocket area goes all the way through to the opposite side.
What if you sew the pockect where the compresion straps where?
I guess you could, but I’m not a great seamstress so I likely won’t attempt it!🤣
