Great video! I really like the Mystery Ranch bag. I’ll definitely be looking into that one. I’ve had the 5.11 chest pack for 2 months. I have yet to use it. I love the organization but like you, not crazy about wearing the pack on my chest. I might just modify it the way you did!! Awesome bags Christina!

Ty for your top 5! I have the 5.11 Skyweight Survival Chest rig, which I love. Like you, I am converting it to a sling/fanny pack. I just purchased an Alpaka Pro Strap for it. I also have the LVC10 V2, awesome bag for more gear. I use it for my 11 inch tab. I do want the LVC8, just waiting for my new purchase 1st, the Eberlestock Bando Bag XL. Great video!

Btw these bags were not necessarily made in 2024, they’re just the ones I’ve used most often this year and have preferred over the rest!

Will a 11 inch tablet fit?

Just a quick thing : On the T-21 in medium size (7 liters), which is one step up of the 4 liters model you are demonstrating, both straps are attached to the TOP of the sling. Not one on the side, and one on top like the 4 liters model.

Great video thanks. I think what's holding me back on purchasing this bag would also be the chest straps - I very much prefer it to be a sling. One question for you (and those who own this bag) - will the strap on the 5.11 2-Banger bag (or even the 4-Banger) fit on this one, if I cut the clips as shown on this video? Thanks!

Great review. Im so torn on these two. I love the outer magnet to use for grip or just throw on magsafe mount in car. But the Pelican seems better built.

FYI - there is a little slot/pocket on the left end of the divider that could be used for a mini pen/chapstick

The Tech Sling 2 is one of my favorite bags of all time. I agree with your critiques and I think that it can't stand is a bit odd considering the robustness of the admin panel. (It seems like something built to be accessed regularly while next to you on a table at a coffee shop. The structure required though would probably make the bag too heavy. however.) I must say I am somewhat disappointed by the updated bag. It appears to deliver on upgraded internal materials, but I miss the separate laptop compartment and the fiixed strap. I'll probably purchase it anyway but only when I get over my disappointment. :) Thanks for reviewing a great bag!

I’m a flight attendant. I love it for travel, but I actually use it every day with just the wrist strap as my wallet.

I have this exact bag. Bought it when it was a new release and was on pre-order for a small discount. Have used it for many, many trips the zipper pulls started to have loose threads. You are right the exterior slip pocket should have snap or magnetic closure; otherwise no valuable such as passport, wallet or ticket should be placing in it. I’d like the interior two slip pockets to have elastic openings as well, because they are too loose for tiny items like chapstick or mini eye drop bottle. Unless I stuff the entire bag tight, small items in the two slips tends to fall out. What I like this bag is, I can make the strap short and turn it into a waist bag or under armpit for security. Or, I can carry it like shoulder bag when the strap is lengthened. Or, without the strap it turns into a big pouch. For 12 to 20 hours long flights, I keep the bag closed to my body when I sleep so I never have to worry about losing valuables such as wallet, phone or ID.

Horizontal carry definitely makes things more accessible. I really like the size, but that front pocket would see me making mods to add some sort of organization.

I wish every bag company would make straps removable! I’ve had a 5.11 Rush 6 for years that I can’t get rid of because I LOVE the layout of that little bag, but hate the strap. It’s not removable but I’ve thought more than once about trying to get it off and figure out how to attach another strap

I have v1, for me I usually don’t have taller items, so I feel there is unused space a the top of the bag. I like the top pocket of the front compartment in v2, on my opinion they should have done something similar for the main compartment

Lv10 is the most completed bag i ve ever used and now cant w8 to have lv8. Guess it ll be better for every day carry.

This looks great, the set up good, but I'm at the point that slings work best for my needs.

I really like smaller slings. Less stuff to carry and only what matters.

does it connect with AirPods Pro 2

The three small inside mesh pockets, I use the middle one to hold earbuds and their charging case. Fits perfect. I wonder if the pass through pocket could possibly store a beanie for a chilly Fall day.
