I am black and Latino (black passing) my father is Hispanic and when I was younger i dated and loved Latino men because I loved my dad but once I got older and wanted a family I wanted someone that looked like me and wanted kids that look like me. Now that I'm married to a BM with 3 children I honestly feel like it was great that my life went this way because I just feel more comfortable. This isn't always the case. I will say, being a white man can provide an advantage with black women, particularly ones that are tired of ghetto black men, or Jamaican women or African women. Being a white man can also be an advantage with east Asian women, certainly more than being a black man. This likely has to do with stereotypes. Being a white man in southern Mexico, Guatemala, or any Amerindian area is an enormous disadvantage. Most brown on white relationships in non Caribbean Latin America are brown man white woman. Seldom goes the other way around. That is mostly due to social pressure from the brown community against the reverse. Furthermore, being Chinese or Indian can yield similar results, particularly Chinese or east Asian due to stereotypes regarding them. In some circles, being black is an advantage picking up white women over being white. It's not cut and dry and doesn't apply in all cases.

I am black and Latino (black passing) my father is Hispanic and when I was younger i dated and loved Latino men because I loved my dad but once I got older and wanted a family I wanted someone that looked like me and wanted kids that look like me. When I went to Memphis and Kansas city to visit it was a full 180 I got matches from mostly black women and hispanic so I agree with this 1000 percent

My Grandmother gave me this advice when I was in my early 20's. Marry a man who is of the same culture. She said, people from the same culture understand each other better because they have their culture in common. And all the little details that come with it. However, narcissist exists in EVERY culture....so be aware of these evil people.

White people are way more conservative than blacks on a whole...white women are more likely to submit to men in general, and have generally more traditional values...fathers still decide women choices to an extent, they are not as materialistic because they are not stuck in survival mode due to life of access and privilege and not experiencing scarcity, there is pressure to marry young etc. As such nature's brutal 80/20 rule is staved off. Black women are ahead on the feminist curve where they prefer total independence. but white women are catching up.

You're not wrong about that. People are naturally willing to date their own race because they typically have the same background and interests. We can't let that discourage us because I always know there are people out there who are willing to date outside their race. Just need to keep being ourselves, be confident, and improve ourselves everyday. I used to think that my race is a reason why I'm not getting enough dates, but it all comes down to mostly lack of confidence. Sure, there are people who still prejudge and prefer to date their own race, but those aren't the kind of ladies we don't want to deal with anyway.
