I just picked up a 17 model Gen V L83 with 6L80 that I will be installing in an 86 model C10. Looking to get some info on a stand alone harness rework. What’s you’re email to discuss options and pricing?
I'm doing a swap on 2018 chevy Gen v Lt1 W/6L80 transmission. Why is it necessary to rewire the harness for the engine when it ran originally in the other vehicle.? I can understand reprogramming the ECM, but the harness is only wires sending signal. So why rewire unless you need to change the location of the ECM?

Would this harness work if my 2014 came with l83 /6l80? I want to do a l86/8speed swap? What do I need ?
So what was the connector next to the three ecm connectors? And the other plug too on that same leg
They are not used in standalone applications.
