    Just want to say two things -
    The junction skip tech would have made your trip a lot shorter, faster, and easier. Would have skipped E5, E2, and C1. You just have to go through B1 and two of those mini highway sub junctions you can just blow straight through.
    While I liked them at first, with experience, I kinda hate the lightning rods. They attract zaps from a lot further than you would get them without the rod. Combined with the shocking speed anomaly, that reallllllyyyy sucks. I find that using a hydro generator and a wind turbine together provides me with more than ample electricity.

      @ColonelSandersLite hey Colonel, thanks for checking this out and leaving your two cents! It's been a long time since I've played this, and if I remember correctly, there were a few mats that I wasn't keen on grinding just yet which prevented me from getting the junction skip and a few other things. I honestly underestimated it's value until I'd made it, so you're right there for sure!
      As for lightning rods, I mainly used them for protection even though I'm not sure they actually ever worked that way. I used to get zapped all the time and it'd do a lot of damage to panels, but I felt like the rods would prevent that damage. That was more important to me than the energy gain, because you're right as well, I was huge on the wind turbine and the one for rain as well. I felt like all it did was rain in the game for me! 🤣
      I hope you enjoyed your time with PD as much as I did! Thanks again for checking this out, have a great one! 🙏

      @@friendlyfrenzygames Yeah, there was a point that I had on the lightning rod for exactly that reason as well. I was nervous about lightning damage.
      Truth is though, the lighting rod is pretty counterproductive as far as protection goes. Like you said, you still end up taking damage with it. And it does pull lightning from a whole lot further away.
      IMHO, without the lightning rod, lightning is generally one of the most easily avoided hazards in the game.

      @@ColonelSandersLite totally agree, it was most helpful around the towers but you could fly by them with relative ease. It was kinda nice for farming plasma though, I will say 🤣

    Love your videos, would you consider making a start to finish walkthrough? Keep up the work

    • @friendlyfrenzygames
      @friendlyfrenzygames  6 месяцев назад +2

      @benaussa Hey Ben, first off, thanks so much for taking the time to check this out, much less leave a comment!
      As for a start to finish walkthrough, I've been compiling some tips and things that I've learned while playing through that were particularly useful for me based on questions I had, and I'll be putting something together for that for sure. Right now, I'm actually polishing off some of the more unique achievements/trophies and will put some short guides together to help others unlock these as well!
      In terms of a start to finish walkthrough, I'd definitely be willing to try something like that if there's interest.. what would you like covered if I were to spend some time putting this together? Just trying to get a sense of what would be of value in a walkthrough!
      Thanks for the feedback, hope to see you around the FFG channel more often - have a great one! 🙏

      Not a problem at all 😊 thank you for your in depth reply. Was thinking of something like a guide that shows a good number of supplies and machines to have at certain points throughout the game. Below major missions having a bit of information about what to look out for and what to have at the ready I guess, without spoilers of possible

    • @friendlyfrenzygames
      @friendlyfrenzygames  6 месяцев назад +1

      @benaussa I could likely do something like that, it might be best covered in kinda what I was thinking for as an overall tip video, though. There definitely isn't a set amount of resources that are necessarily required to progress through the story, but I think what I'm thinking for tips would definitely assist in navigating early, mid and late game!
      The story really isn't all that long to be fair, and there aren't many missions I wouldn't say... moreso the idea is to outfit your car to survive long enough to push through the different Zone walls. I think the story/missions are to give you a very high level direction and some added context, but it's not linear in how to do it. Which is nice, but also leaves open for interpretation how you'd prefer to play. For example, I spent A LOT of time collecting resources and trying to upgrade as much as possible before moving through the Zones and the story. Until it felt like I just wasn't getting anything done, and I couldn't actually craft anything that I was researching.
      Sorry for the long reply, just kinda walking through my thoughts as the same time as trying to address your feedback but I definitely appreciate the input! I do think, though, that the tips I'll string together will serve as some good early-game, mid-game and end-game tips, they just may not be laid out alongside missions as, to me anyways, they were always a secondary element to the meat and potatoes of the game!
      Hope this helps - and hope to see you back around on our other/upcoming Pacific Drive videos! Always love a good chat about the games we're playing!

    There’s so many different doors like insulated, armored, radiation protection, I have no clue which ones to use lol

    • @friendlyfrenzygames
      @friendlyfrenzygames  6 месяцев назад +4

      @ethanwinston2672 Hey Ethan, thanks for checking this out! Yeah, definitely - as with any good survival craft, there's a TON of options and it's very overwhelming, especially to start, until you find your footing. If you're in the early game and haven't crossed into the Mid Zone yet, you're probably safe to use a combination of Steel and Insulated. Keep in mind that these pieces will share some of their properties with adjacent pieces, so what I liked to do was run Steel Panels at the front for their health and impact resistance as this needed the most protection (I'd be constantly making shortcuts through the trees) and then add Insulated Doors for shock resistance and charge block. You can run Steel Panels at the back as well, this will give some impact resistance to the adjacent Insulated Doors, and shock resistance to the Steel Panels.
      I mention Insulated because in the early game, many of the anomalies are shock/lightning-based. These are probably the most difficult anomalies to avoid, as in the later game they seem to be more stationary and easy to see, whereas the shock ones pop up seemingly out of nowhere most of the time. You're also going to want to pay attention to the junction conditions though (and their elements) and prepare for those as best you can, but I feel like this intro setup should at least help you through the beginning stages of the game and give you a bit of direction!
      Hope to see you around here some more, appreciate your comment and time - have a great one!

      @@friendlyfrenzygames thanks man I just reached the mid zone I got quite a bit of armor but I’ll mix in different things and see how it works out

    • @friendlyfrenzygames
      @friendlyfrenzygames  6 месяцев назад

      @ethanwinston2672 Mid Zone seems to be more Corrosive-based anomalies, making the Anti-Corrosive doors pretty important. When you can, I'd recommend installing an ION Shield on the roof - almost completely negates radiation as long as your battery can continue to power it. Otherwise, farming Tree Candy from Twisted Embers will be helpful!

    Should I get the amp engine? It has a lot of delicious hp and it uses electricity which is fairly easy to get more of, and it’s not too hard to craft

    • @friendlyfrenzygames
      @friendlyfrenzygames  2 месяца назад +2

      @bl0ccr4fter24 depends on what engine you're coming from, and how you like to play. Electricity is easy to get, but the engine EATS power and will require a LOT of other car spaces to get your battery beefy enough to run it consistently and charge it fast enough. I personally used Turbolight for the majority of the game, and when I could afford LIM-Chip, I got that.
      AMP was fun, but I didn't find it as practical as I thought I would. Fuel is very easy to find and store as well, so i think it's a matter of preference really. I found fuel to be a bit easier to plan for/plan around.
      Hope this helps!

    • @bl0ccr4fter24
      @bl0ccr4fter24 2 месяца назад

      It does indeed help! Not used to how much 1 unit of power is in the game yet, so not entirely sure how much it obliterated your battery
      Guess I’ll take it as a backup engine when I make really long trips! Honestly I just want it because it has a lot of horsepower for it’s price
      Does the garage eventually run out of gas? After a long session I saw there was a little bit of gas missing from the pump, and after the next run I did it wasn’t refuelled, so do I have to start relying on the fuel you can find while exploring more?

    • @friendlyfrenzygames
      @friendlyfrenzygames  2 месяца назад +1

      @@bl0ccr4fter24 nope, you shouldn't need to refill your shop pump. It refills after every trip you return from! You can upgrade the size of the pump and how quickly it refills your car though from the fabrication station, that's super helpful, especially as you start adding some tank reservoirs and increase the size of your Jerry can!
      Then when on trips, you can siphon fuel from the wrecked cars, random oil barrels and fueling stations!

    • @bl0ccr4fter24
      @bl0ccr4fter24 2 месяца назад +1

      Ahh ok that’s reassuring.
      I’ve been collecting fuel from the cars every now and again, but not too often for now.
      Thanks a lot for all your quick replies! They are extremely helpful for a newer player like me

    • @friendlyfrenzygames
      @friendlyfrenzygames  2 месяца назад +1

      @@bl0ccr4fter24 yeah it definitely gets pretty tedious, but if you carry large reserves and fill them at your shop before heading out, you don't usually have to refuel on the go too often if you've planned things out accordingly.
      Glad we could help! As you get further in your playthrough, feel free to check back in if you need some help completing some of the achievements. We've got videos for pretty much all of them in Pacific Drive!
      Best of luck on your playthrough, thanks for the chat. Hope to see you around again, have a great one! 🙏

      @elpabloblanco Hey Pablo, thanks for checking this video out, and for your comment as well!
      Do you mean the LIM Shield? Or LIMpulse Emitter? Those are two separate parts - I'm using ION Shield and LIM Shield, and if you're using the Emitter, that's likely why it doesn't function the same. The Emitter is designed to break the connection of different anomalies like the variety of Bunnies, and works in bursts. Honestly, I feel like it's basically pointless once you can craft the LIM Shield because the LIM Shield does the same thing, but can toggle AND grants a substantial amount of protection to physical damage as well.
      If you're using the LIM Shield but it's not working for you, I'm not sure I have any other ideas. But based on what you mentioned, my guess is you're using the Emitter - trying using the Shield!
      Hope to see you around here again, let us know if this helps! 🙌
