I guess I should sell These booklets, but that's not the true American Way. I'm glad that my video, and all the many comments and replies have helped so many people! You're Welcome!
If this doesn’t work and you’re having drainage issues turn the middle knob to Normal & hold the start/pause button for 10 seconds or until you hear the washer start to drain out water then you can turn it to the drain and spin cycle and you should be back to normal ! I just had this problem last night and that was my fix
Yeah I'm glad I could help you with what you needed... An appliance service manual is a very much needed item... I'm always looking up something on RUclips on how to fix this or how to fix that...if people would just try sometimes to fix their appliances it would save them a lot of money... A serviceman will charge you $75 just to show up... Then he's probably going to add 20% to the price of the parts... And then there's the hourly labor charge... So the time that it took me 2 disassemble the pump and make sure it had continuity and the impeller was able to spin freely and not be seized... I guess that took me all of fifteen minutes.... A new pump motor and assembly cost about $135... A repairman would have charged me $200-$250.. which would include the pump assembly and motor, the $75 for the service call, and $40 an hour labor... Down here on the gulf coast it's not hard at all to get sand in your washing machine drain pump... The friction will heat up the impeller housing assembly and the plastics will melt and your impeller will cease. Thank you for your comments... Peace Out!
Just disassembled my pump last night, pump was just barely seized, so I used PB Blaster and soaked it under the impeller for about 15 mins while I cleaned the rust of the electro magnet that the pump was attached to. works like a charm!....thx again for the Video!
You are very welcome and your comment is appreciated. I live on the Mississippi Gulf coast and lots of sand gets in your socks and clothing and the drain pump impeller catches hell...I made this video for that very reason because an appliance service company charges an initial fee plus the cost of a new pump, which is around $130, so there you would have around a $200 repair bill. That's why I went I always have a problem with anything mechanical I'll look for videos that will help me fix my problem and save me lots of money. I always try to live by the Golden rule and thanks again Chris for your comment!
Hello All...Thanks for all people that Subscribed. Thanks for all Comments, likes, and Shares. I'm very happy that my Video helped everyone interested. I'm focusing on living. Through this COVID-19 BS they want us to worry about. I'm not worrying at all. I know it's BS. How many people you know that died from it? NONE? Well, there you have it
So you can recalibrate to factory settings during any of the cycles it is stuck in? Mine is sounding like draining but not sure (all sensor lights are off)- unplugged for thirty minutes and plugged back and after a few seconds it jumps right back into the draining cycle with sensors still off.
I have a question. I have the same washer n it was working good but it stop on drain and spin. It also had this burnt rubber smell. I reset it and tried it again but it still stop at drain and spin. And it still smells. It just sounds like something is stuck somewhere. What is wrong with it?
Mine went through the test mode with no problem but the lid lock flashes at the end of the cycles. When i ran the recalibration mode it stopped and the lid lock started to flash again. Lid lock flashing light can only be stopped by unplugging the machine. Is it safe to say its the lid lock that needs replacing?
Im doing the test just like yours and at minute 3 mine doesnt not keep doing the same unless i push the start button and the drum doest want to spin. Drain pump works
You have to find the booklet and follow the trouble shooting instructions. It sounds like the belt is broken or came off the pullies... If the belt is there and on both pullies, the motor is bad or the timer is bad. Did you find the service booklet?
Depending on the manufacturer... It is usually in a plastic Ziploc bag... Like a packing slip with the peel and stick... Most washing machines have the service manual on the inside walls of the unit, normally on the front removable panel...or you can push the tub back and shine a flashlight against the inside wall of the front panel and the service manual is found there... And the service manual explains everything step by step...
Either the drain pump is not working, or the machine needs recalibrated. There's another video by someone else that shows how to replace the pump, but you might be able to take it out, then take it apart and clean it from debris and check to see if the impeller will move by spinning it clockwise. If it's frozen up it needs replacing. You can also check the continuity with an ohm meter.
Try the test again and if it does the same thing again you can try to remove the pump, check the motor for continuity, clean it and the hoses...If all else fails, you'll need to get a new pump housing assembly
You're very welcome... Just trying to be a good neighbor and a decent person... I'm sure nobody likes to pay the serviceman $200 more or less for a simple repair...RUclips is a wonderful place to learn how to fix and repair just about anything from cars, appliances, and many other self repair videos...Everyone should try to fix their appliance before calling a serviceman that's going to charge you probably more than what the appliance is worth
My washer is very similar to this one, but a different model number. I’m trying to see if it has one of these manuals. So far, it’s not in the bleach compartment. I’m going to keep searching!
Can someone help me I’ve been unplugging the wire that go to the drain pump now door won’t look and you don’t see any led lights on I tried the reset calibration mode it’ll run the spin mode but after it’s done still the same doesn’t work won’t fill the washer with water no leds still and door don’t lock or you don’t see the red light either what can i do to get it working
You should be able to find the service manual in a little plastic ziplock package like a packing slip on the inside wall normally on the front wall... The service manual will instruct you on how to do the diagnostic troubleshooting procedure... And it will show you step-by-step how to recalibrate the machine to the original factory settings which would possiblycorrect the amount of time that the pump will run and turn off... Hopefully you don't have a bad timer...
So most likely your clothes is already in the washing machine, would you have to do for this to work is hold down the power button for 10 seconds, allowing the machine to drain and then go into neutral mode so that you can do this process I was so frustrated, you’re welcome
My washer was full of water so I played with it and it says it has a cleaning washer with affresh so turned the knob onto that one and it drained my washer finally so now I know how to fix the problem
Maybe that fixed it. I don't sell trouble shooting booklets, but maybe I should. You can find this booklet behind the front panel by opening the lid and pushing the tub towards the back by pushing against the top of the agitator and shine a flashlight towards the inside of the front panel as you peek in the open area. The booklet is in a ziplock bag that is stuck to the panel. You have to get it loose by cutting it or grabbing it free, because it is a peel and stick bag that protects the Service and Trouble Shooting Pamphlet. Then follow the instructions for testing all the parts and also how to do the Factory Reset.
No, I don't think so, you have to locate the factory booklet that is attached to the inside of the front panel. Move the tub towards the back of the washer by holding the top and center of the tubs actuator, and look through the exposed opening with a flashlight and low and behold there you will see a plastic ziplock bag with the booklet inside. Then find the trouble shooting process and determine what cycle is not working... the booklet will show what part is not functioning.
Yea i have to look for the book in the am. When i start the washer stays in sensing and locked. Doesnt pull any water to the tub sounds like it wants to agitate a little but it doesnt. Idk its frustating i have the one just like yours but without the tower "water saver". I checked drain line for clogged but is fine.i tookd water pump apart spins but it has a little resistance is that how it should be?
@@omarargullin2313 yes it will have a little resistance but flips forward into next non-magnetic area... If you want more info tomorrow send me another reply

Great video. If something wasn’t working would there be a signal flashing light etc? Thanks
awesome i ran this test and figured out that my drain pump isn’t working ima look into how to fix that
My washer has water in it still do I have to take it out by hand or will this work as is
Water must be 100% out for recalibration to work.
Helped! Great thank you

What does it mean if the machine doesn't complete one of the tests? Mine didn't make it thru the spin test and started flashing the red LOCKED light.
Either the drain pump is not working, or the machine needs recalibrated. If I do this will it help so my clothes come out soaking wet anymore?
As long as the pump kicks back in after removing the debris and sand in it. Be sure and run the Recalibration.
