I live in Sydney Australia 🇦🇺. Have visited America a lot. It's not easy driving where every thing is opposite. American roads are far superior to Australia cattle tracks
Watching these videos helps me understand why it sucks so much to drive in Utah. People just honestly don’t know how to drive. The CR-V driver had me floored.
64 miles an hour is not camping one Flippin mile per hour under the post speed limit, which is the fastest. You should go under ideal conditions why the police allow people to go any faster beyond me 40,000 of us are killed every year on these highways because of careless drivers. It’s fine. Tell somebody in your family and then it means something.
94 MPH is not funny. He’s a liar or incredibly stupid. At 94 MPH you are passing all other vehicles. Arrest driver and tow car; don’t allow him to laugh and drive away. Bullshit.
@LeHoboBob Yeah you know that's freaking crazy too. They told him it's ok to go 5 over but didn't teach him how to read the big speedometer in the center of his steering wheel lol
Wow there was so much going on with that one.😂 You could tell that he was not listening to anything Trooper Stevens was saying at all and was just waiting to get his next comment in. I’d be surprised if he remembered a single thing of what was said.
As long as you back the blue and lick there Boots cops will violate your rights every chance they can. Best thing is don't answer no question they will hold it against you.
Ahh Trooper Stevens!! The BEST ELITE Trooper EVER!! Good To See You Sir Hope This Finds You Well Today ?? Kind Regards From Edinburgh Scotland :) :) :) :)
6:04 born, raised & currently live in Utah. Going with the flow of traffic means going about 10 over. I usually do 5 over and I’ve always got cars flying past me. I’ve had a cop behind me when I was going 7 over on cruise control and didn’t get pulled over. Several years ago I accidentally went 15 over and got pulled over. I went to the driving class they do so I could keep it off my record and that cop that was teaching the class said explicitly that he won’t pull anyone over on regular city roads unless you’re at least 11 mph over, or on the freeway unless you’re going at least 15 mph over. He said that was just how he did it and he couldn’t promise any other cops would do the same thing, but seriously, the 10 over is very standard. Edit: obviously there is no bump allowed in school zones, in neighborhoods, places like that. Anywhere that has a 20 or 25mph limit keeps that limit.
It blows my mind how many people say they didn’t know they were going that fast. Every vehicle I’ve driven in the last 10 years has two displays of speed - digital and analog.
If I was a trooper the only tickets I would print would be for left lane campers and tint violations. No way they can se out of a blacked out windshield.
Definitely pull over more slow pokes in the left lane. Also, that driver was right. People need to use their turn signals. It absolutely drives me nuts when people just pull out in front of me with no signal especially because I am actually courteous and will allow a fellow signaler to get out in front of me if they're polite enough to signal. I even go a step further, if someone signals and I'm in the lane they want to move to I drop my speed and I flash my brights(I only do this in the day time, i don't wanna blind people at night) so they know I see them. It works every time. Also, yeah, they told me in drivers ed 5 over is fine. Honestly, they told me "10 is usually fine but you could run across a cop who will get you for 10 or 5 for that matter" lol.
That second driver could not lie straight in bed, he knew what he was doing and he also knew the trooper was behind him, how could you not know when the trooper had all his lights and siren was activated.
Most people don’t notice the stnding technique officers have to stand. It’s mostly troopers that stand this way because they’re trained that way quick way of defense to get out of the way of a bullet.
This would be considered a Grail career choice for me...I wonder if the Motor Troopers patrol in the 'Winter' months too?? The Trooper depicted in this video is a credit to the Uniform. Carry on Sir, you're a good man and a good Trooper.
Love Trooper Stephens. Sorry to see him get lied to. Guy doing 94 in a 70 said it was his girlfriend’s car throughout most of the stop, then at the end let’s it slip that he was picking up the new plates on behalf of his daughter. Lying… top cause for dysfunction in humanity. 😢
In Utah a turn signal is an indicator that all cars within sight should fill the gap and not let you in. They also think you are impeding traffic even when you are driving 10 mph over the posted limit.
I’ve lived in Utah my whole life and still do. And EVERYONE drives 5 over. On the freeway if it’s 70 you do 75. And if it’s 75 or 80. You do 80-85. It’s been an Utah thing forever. And officer Steven’s. Left lane drivers. Texting and driving and drivers who don’t signal are the three things cops can help work on correcting.
5 over is cute. In my part of the state.. if you're not going 90-100 you're going too slow and even at those speeds you get passed. Regardless of lane you have aggressive drivers hugging your bumper who are trying to force people to go faster. Its ridiculous anymore.
"I didn't think you were stopping me" Even though the lights and sirens were behind you for how many minutes and miles? But it was the hand waving that made you stop. I forgot that part is in the rules and regulations: "stop for the police when they wave their hand at you." Just plain excuses, not even ignorance.
I have 100% seen cops say 5 over is fine, 10 is pushing it and some cops will give you a ticket all depends on the type of road, area, weather conditions and then the city, county etc etc oh and be careful out-of-state drivers just do the speed limit 😂😂
It's a new car and he didn't know he was going that fast. I guess when they bought the new caw the didn't go with the speedometer option. It knocks a couple of hundred dollars off the price of the car.
two people claim they didnt realize they were driving so fast. let me educate: there is an instrument in the gauge cluster called a SPEEDOMETER. LOOK AT IT more than once or twice.
At what # over the speed limit is considered acceptable by UHP? (assuming highway, safe for conditions) I've heard and observed driving +6 mph won't draw attention
It’s my girlfriend’s car. wtf does that mean? All cars have speedometers. Like saying I pissed on the toilet seat because it’s not the one I’m used to.
He also first stated that he was putting the plates on his girlfriend's car...then near the end of the stop he said he had just put the plates on his daughter's car...makes one wonder which is the truth if either one is...
So, if in my mind I’m not doing anything wrong, I can just keep going and ignore the lights and sirens behind me? Cool, I never heard that. Now I have to go out into my driveway and see if I can a find the speedometers in a VW and a Chevy Colorado, since apparently some vehicles have them hidden away where a casual driver can’t find them.
always argue with cop 👮 when he says your license is suspended, and you tell him no it’s not, cause you got some kind of paper dat say that cop 👮 is wrong and you are right, always argue and tell him that you smart 😊
In Florida driving below the speed limit in the passing lane isn’t driving safely especially at night time. Floridian drivers at night think that they are training for the Daytona 500 or something.
Never answer any questions at a traffic stop. Why does he need to know where you are traveling to? He has the right to ask the question but you should not answer that question or any question. Be polite and silent. Exercise your RIGHT to be silent and invoke your right to counsel at every traffic stop.
Not sure where that allowable 5mph over the speed limit myth came from. Unless maybe people misinterpreted a warning for permission to drive over the limit by a little bit. Also that first person is lucky they’re not in Pinal County. Because Deputy Sloup doesn’t like left lane Campers out there😂
If you are recruiting through videos which these are cool why is the UHP not using and where is my Grandpas old Patrol car that he restored for the UHP and UHPA
One of my pet peeves is people camped out in the passing lane. Far left lane is for passing only it's not a travel lane. If you are forcing people to pass on the right, move over.
I think if they get pulled over for something like this their fine should be a drivers ed course and they need to pass. They are ok not to be conscious and live in their little phone world or whatever....The laws are not according to them but the law.
It amazes me when I see people dart across multiple lanes from the onramp and camp out in the passing lane, even if there's hardly any traffic. I can't help but wonder if these people think the passing lane is a status symbol, like look at me, I'm in the cool lane or something. Anyway, left-lane campers are the number one problem I see on the freeway because people that are looking to pass wind up changing lanes to pass which of course affects the flow in adjacent lanes. Maybe it's Murphy's Law, but there's usually a left-lane camper when I'm looking to exit the HOV lane and there's a lineup behind that person which makes it lousy for everyone.
So should speeders, failure to use turn signals be treated the same? It's better to educate these folks. With your logic everyone should lose their driving privileges.
99% of drivers in the US say THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for pulling over a car for sitting in the left lane impeding traffic.
I live in Sydney Australia 🇦🇺. Have visited America a lot.
It's not easy driving where every thing is opposite. American roads are far superior to Australia cattle tracks
Second guy didnt believe he did anything wrong and refused to pull over for awhile. He's lucky he didnt get any other tickets.
shouldve arrested him after that remark saying he didn't think he had too
UHP has some of the most polite and professional LEOs I've ever seen. Keep up the good work guys and gals!
I guess that you haven't seen Fridays with Frank from Pinellas County in Arizona's videos. He's the greatest !!!
Should’ve given the 2nd guy all the tickets 😂
Watching these videos helps me understand why it sucks so much to drive in Utah. People just honestly don’t know how to drive. The CR-V driver had me floored.
Thank you for pulling over slow left lane campers!
It's so refreshing to see when UHP ACTUALLY pull people over for left lane camping!!
64 miles an hour is not camping one Flippin mile per hour under the post speed limit, which is the fastest. @@popgoestheweasel95 the speed limit in Utah is 70.

@@popgoestheweasel95literally any speed in the left lane is camping if you’re not actively passing another vehicle
Jesus that 2nd driver needs to go back to driver's ed.
he did, told him he's safe at 5 over, didn't you hear
@LeHoboBob Yeah you know that's freaking crazy too. They told him it's ok to go 5 over but didn't teach him how to read the big speedometer in the center of his steering wheel lol

You need to back to go English class 😂
@@SparlsOfficial Eh, typing fast is not recommended.
Great recruiting opportunity UHP 👍🏻 Thank you for your service 🐝
Thank you for pulling people out of the fast lane that are impeding traffic. I think some road rage is caused because of that.
13:00 - how 90% of stops go when you're simply polite and respectful and acknowledge your mistake(s).
As long as you back the blue and lick there Boots cops will violate your rights every chance they can. Best thing is don't answer no question they will hold it against you.
NO CAMPING IN THE LEFT LANE…💯👍
Drivers Ed in West Jordan 10000% told us we could go 5 over. 😂
I love this guy lol. The “fat motor officer” had me dying lol. I enjoy your guys’s content!
We need more episodes..
Ahh Trooper Stevens!! The BEST ELITE Trooper EVER!! Good To See You Sir Hope This Finds You Well Today ?? Kind Regards From Edinburgh Scotland :) :) :) :)
Love Sgt Stevens. Great to see him again!
How do you not realize your going "that fast" that's what a SPEEDOMETER is for, all cars come standard with them

I was taught in Drivers Ed 5 over everywhere except the freeway do 9 over
I think I may be down to move to Utah and work with these Troopers.
I think this trooper is Canadian lol! So friendly! Keep up the great work 👍
Love these. Excellent ways of educating us on a lot of laws we wouldn’t necessarily know until we get pulled over.
This officer handles traffic stops like a champ!
GREAT JOB!!! WE NEED MORE OFFICERS LIKE YOU SIR.
I wish A&E did UHP again.
I love these videos!! PLEASE POST MORE!!!!
It blows my mind how many people say they didn’t know they were going that fast. Every vehicle I’ve driven in the last 10 years has two displays of speed - digital and analog.
Unbelievable how bright some of these people are!!😆
I will agree trooper riding is amazing I am trying to make my city motor squad currently next up to be pulled into it so fun.
Anybody else get the “Gone in Sixty Seconds” reference when he said let’s ride with the hand motions? Lol
UHP needs to do more about left lane campers... I see it every day on the roads. And they won't get over...
Looks like a fun career!
94 in a 70, in a Subaru. "It's my girlfriends car, I didn't know I was going that fast". YEAH RIGHT, in a Subaru? lol
The gas pedal had to be almost to the floor.
And the Subaru driver… In the highland belt route, that is an area where everyone flies 90+ NB and SB. And in Parley’s canyon too!!
Good work!
If I was a trooper the only tickets I would print would be for left lane campers and tint violations. No way they can se out of a blacked out windshield.
This officer has a great personality.
People who refuse to pull over because they don't think they did anything wrong are complete idiots
Glad you’re out there. I-15 is a nut zone.
My favorite branch division of the UHP the good ole UHP Motor Squad
Yup St. George has one ! He doesn’t play
Please make all people getting or renewing their license watch this series! It's driver education that is FUN to watch

Ticket everyone camping in the left lane, even if they aren’t going slow. The left lane is for passing.
The second driver was just trying to get his flux capacitor working.
That second driver could not lie straight in bed, he knew what he was doing and he also knew the trooper was behind him, how could you not know when the trooper had all his lights and siren was activated.
Drivers like the one that refused to stop should have their license suspended pending retraining. They shouldn't be on the roadways.
Most people don’t notice the stnding technique officers have to stand. It’s mostly troopers that stand this way because they’re trained that way quick way of defense to get out of the way of a bullet.

Huge Pet Peeve: Crossing double white lines with no signal.

I pass those left lane campers when they don't want to get out of the left lane. I'm usually way out in the left lane or 2.
These BS answers of “I didn’t realize I’m going that fast” is ridiculous. Especially a car that small you’ll feel that speed

@@dorsets9295 That’s possible. Hadn’t considered that
