just bought a 2000 f250 7.3 extended cab 4x4 short bed for $3,700 with 204,000 miles in maroon and its completley stock, no leaks runs great. has small dent on cab corner but for the price i couldnt beat it. its crazy the valley is dry and the driveshaft is snug with zero rattle. no blow by

My step-dad has one of these thay are pretty darn good strong trucks he uses it to haul hay we live on a 5 acre farm we have 27 cows

You did these repairs (MAINTENANCE) at 300k+ miles on it. I think it's expected especially if you bought at $6k. So previous owner knew those two papa were needed. LOVE my 7.3 wouldn't trade for anything.
I had a weather guard that was trashed and sold it and got a deezee platinum toolbox they’re like 1100$ new. Best freaking toolbox ever, I’m intrigued to see how you like the weather guard.

My friend has a 98 f250 with the 7.3 and he has 430k on his also, still running. I am getting a 2002 in a few days with very low miles. Can't wait
It’s expensive but that 7.3 will treat you right hell it almost to 500k I don’t mind dropping money on something that I knows going to last.

My dads 99 f350 has paint peel and the hood and passenger side fender are the worst. If your look at the clear coat. Passenger side is in bad shape compared to driver side.

YeH. I’ve got 180k on my deleted 2017. All I’ve done is exhaust manifolds.

How does this compare to Cummins ?
So many different factors/pros and cons that I don’t know. I personally love powerstrokes and enjoy the ford pickups more than a dodge. However as time goes on. The 7.3 is getting old and tired/lots of electronics. The old 12 valve Cummins is a good comparison and i think will be around longer and more reliably. Not for daily driving. But for the engine just working and not failing.
Modern day. I pick Powerstroke 10x
I'm looking at 7.3s mostly Crew cab dually 6wd standard transmission so not 1 goddamn person can drive but me 😜😂

You’re telling me you’re running 35s on with just a level kit? How the heck I’ve got 33s on a level and i rub at full lock, but i have 20s. Are you running spacers with the methods?
No spacers. Rubs on the leaf spring full lock left turn. If that’s what your talking about
You cannot complain about your repair and maintenance cost that is your daily driver heavy work play truck and do something stupid
