Means ripping your copy of the game into your PC, by inserting the game disc on a Blu-Ray driver and copying to your PC That's the safe way of doing it, but you can also download the game from the internet but i can't go into detail about that because it's piracy and it's against RUclips's guideline

You're not supposed to change the default one, if the scaled is already set to 1080p then it's working as it should be, the game is already upscaled to 1080p. But if it doesn't look good enough you have to increase the resolution even more
Alright so my game won't update i have all those updates in the updates folder i made just like you but when i go to the install packages thing in the emulator and select that singular first update as you said, it says selected package is invalid. how do I fix this I can't play online without these updates!

Yeah try redownloading them, should have been fine if you didn't rename them. Something else that could happen is the patches being from a different region of the game, but you copied the serial from you game right?

How did you end up at 1.19? When you installed the game was it already at that? In any case you can uninstall the updates, go to dev_hdd0/Game/Id and delete whatever is in there, the game should go back to 1.01, then reinstall them exactly like i do in the video

Hi IgorL, please please help me, I'm begging you! I've been following your steps and I always get the "hash check failed, contents corrupted" message when trying to install the firmware. I put it all on desktop and the .PUP file with it all in one folder, no file name change and downloaded with firewall down just in case. Would any of that be the reason that now when I double click on LBP3 (after all the steps) rpcs3 stops and says (not responding) forcing me to close it. @@LPK5371 That could be because of a few things but most of the time it happens when the game files are corrupted, try redumping the game again or grabbing from a different source

That error usually means you are missing a update or they were installed in the wrong order And yeah the community maps is like that because of Internet Archive, the website is currently down but it should be back soon
@@FancyPonyShoes You need every updated installed, not just the latest one. Make sure you 're selecting every one of them on the installation screen and that they are in order. Also before that, delete the updates you currently have - on RPCS3 go to View -> Game Categories -> Game Data You should see the game on the list but now saying "PS3 Game Data", that's the updates so right click on that -> Remove -> Remove Game Data

Click on View -> Game Categories -> Game Data You'll see a new listing of the game just for the updates, right click on that -> Manage Game -> Remove PS3 Game Data
I followed your instructions and for some reason the game keeps freezing. I have the exact game ID as you. Which on the RPCS3 website it's listed as "ingame" status. Could this be the problem because it has issues? Do you have issues playing the game or not?

Try changing the folder where the emulator is, seems like the one you have goes through onedrive? Move it to a more common location, and outside of external drives too
Whenever I attempt to drag my update files into the emulator, I get the error that the file is "invalid package" and it shows me the file path. The files are all PKG and have the exact same name a file size as the one in the video. Help would be appreciated please and thanks. (Also to note, the log says "E PKG: Not a PKG file! " despite it being labeled as a PKG File.)
Never heard of this error Drag the update files? You downloaded them to a folder outside the emulator and you're trying to drag them into the emulator folder is that right?
Did you try creating a 'updates' folder on the emulator folder and then install them like i do in the video? Perphaps dragging the files into RPCS3 is not working in this case

You're missing the .rap file, if you installed the game with a .pkg you also need a .rap file Or you renamed the .rap file, it needs to be installed withy the original name
When I try and update firmware an error comes up saying "Firmware installation failed:The provided file's contents are corrupted" I have no idea why it displays this I tried re-installing each time from the link provided but same error. Any ideas?

Okay the question is the emulator and the game is playable but im at below 10 fps, does it mean that the graphics card i have, 1080 TI GTX isn't for it?
You can transfer your PS3 saves with a thumb flash or USB drive, then connect that to the PC but i think you also need to decrypt them before moving to the RPCS3 folder. I know the program used for that is called Brute Force Save Data but i'm not familiar on how it works but yes - it is possible to transfer your PS3 saves to RPCS3

Make sure you downloaded the latest Sony firmware and perhaps re-download lbp without the updates first and add them after trying to boot once.

What folder did you install it? In any case, move RPCS3 folder to a more common folder like desktop or downloads, for example

The game is on the iso format right? You need to extract that iso with WinRAR or 7zip, then you will have the game files

Yes, you can get save files from Gamefaqs but to use in RPCS3 they need to decrypted and that can be done with a app called PS3 Bruteforce Save Data

so in the settings for the game in rpcs3 i have 1x1 scale threshold and 1920x1080p but in the deafult resolution scale i can't go past 1280x720

The default has to be 1280x720 (recommended), the one you have to change is the scale one

Might have been a error when downloading the firmware, delete the one you have and try again, if you have a different browser try with that too.

I did the update at the bottom but I guess it’s the wrong update and it won’t let me update the game anymore
Click on View -> Game Categories -> Game Data
You'll see a new listing of the game just for the updates, right click on that -> Manage Game -> Remove PS3 Game Data

I followed your instructions and for some reason the game keeps freezing. I have the exact game ID as you. Which on the RPCS3 website it's listed as "ingame" status. Could this be the problem because it has issues? Do you have issues playing the game or not?
What are your PC specs?

So I played this game online and it works fine however story mode has issues. What can I do?

im also getting a error popup saying "Qt6Core.dll was not found" along with other Qt files??????
Try changing the folder where the emulator is, seems like the one you have goes through onedrive? Move it to a more common location, and outside of external drives too

Whenever I attempt to drag my update files into the emulator, I get the error that the file is "invalid package" and it shows me the file path. The files are all PKG and have the exact same name a file size as the one in the video. Help would be appreciated please and thanks. (Also to note, the log says "E PKG: Not a PKG file! " despite it being labeled as a PKG File.)

Drag the update files? You downloaded them to a folder outside the emulator and you're trying to drag them into the emulator folder is that right?
@@Igor.L Yep, the update folder is isolated on my desktop with nothing but the PKG files in it.
Did you try creating a 'updates' folder on the emulator folder and then install them like i do in the video? Perphaps dragging the files into RPCS3 is not working in this case
@@Igor.L Where would the folder for the emulator be? I have a file called "rpcs3_old" but I'm not sure if that's the correct file.

You're missing the .rap file, if you installed the game with a .pkg you also need a .rap file
Or you renamed the .rap file, it needs to be installed withy the original name

When I try and update firmware an error comes up saying "Firmware installation failed:The provided file's contents are corrupted" I have no idea why it displays this I tried re-installing each time from the link provided but same error. Any ideas?
Did you rename the firmware file by any chance?

The progression of lbp1 and 2 will carry over if you played them on rpcs3, or if you import the save files from PS3 but can't be done for PS4 saves

Do you know how I could import my ps3 saves so ihave my data on rpcs3?
You can transfer your PS3 saves with a thumb flash or USB drive, then connect that to the PC but i think you also need to decrypt them before moving to the RPCS3 folder. I know the program used for that is called Brute Force Save Data but i'm not familiar on how it works but yes - it is possible to transfer your PS3 saves to RPCS3
