  • A review on the Sherco 250SE factory edition. I'm really impressed with this bike, the motor is great, it feels nimble on the trail and the KYB suspension felt better than any suspension I've been on in stock form. Out of all the bikes I've tested this year I think this Sherco is my favorite. Sherco seems poised to make a big impact in the off road market and the 2021 models look even better. Thanks to Chris at On The Pipe (OTP) our local Sherco dealer for letting me test ride his bike for the day.

    Looks like a great bike with really good suspension too. I like how you test your bikes on tighter trails to see if it can handle them. And not just going 90 miles an hour down so long straight, good job as always..

    I had a 16 300 SE-R and it was the funniest 1.75 Hours I have ever had on a bike. The chassis was so sweet along with everything else, power, suspension, handling was unreal! I have had many bikes but that was my favorite!

    Hey PNW thanks for your videos, they are very helpful. I just sold a 2014 Sherco SE-R250. I'm thinking about what to get next. I could never get my old Sherco to corner particularly well in the really tight stuff. I know they made the head angle steeper on the newer frames. At 5'8" the bike was very tall for me as well. • @PNWEnduro

      The TPI will have a smoother more "electric" feel. Both have plenty of power but the tpi probably pulls harder throughout the rpm's but feels softer off idle. Weight is pretty close I think. Sherco have all the research done to change to injected, but having a carby is simple. A quick jetting after run-in and they are good to go. Some teams run a 36mm Smart Carb which is great if you're doing huge elevation changes.

      Same as Beta, they have FI ready but are waiting until they are forced to produce them due to emissions regulations.

      KTM owns WP, they are not going to put a competing brand on their bikes.

      And no E-start, has cable clutch and 5 speed transmission, no skid plate or fan. Lots of reasons for the price difference, you get what you pay for.

      @@PNWEnduro and how long has that company been in business as long a Yamaha? What about parts 🤔. They put a few Fancy parts on it and call it the best thing Is sense invented the wheel.

      I've never had a problem getting parts. My Sherco dealer has more parts in stock for these bikes than any of the five KTM brand dealers near me do for their brands. Yamaha has been around a lot longer, I'll give you that.

    WHAT THE F IS WRONG WITH THESE BIKE COMPANIES? PUT A SPARK ARESTOR ON THE BIKES.

    • @PNWEnduro
      @PNWEnduro  3 года назад +3

      The bike manufactures actually have a good reason. Most bikes are imported as "closed course" bikes. Put a spark arrestor on and it changes the classification and the bikes would need to meet much stricter emissions regulations at a cost of performance and higher price tag. Have you seen the goofy pipes that come on bikes in Australia? Long story short it's cheaper to add on a $250 S/A than the alternative.
