I own a shoe repair shop in central MN and those are a real project. It's nice to see the high quality work! Our industry needs more craftsman to show what WE can do! Nice work brother! If you're ever in St Cloud Minnesota, look me up!
Thanks a lot Anthony, they sure are!!! I actually don’t resole those anymore cause is expensive!!! They take a hole day!
Cheers Brother!!!!
@T Anthony, do you offer resoling for supersoles? I live about an hour from you and will be getting supersoles 2.0 in the near future, would like to know I can take them somewhere relatively local for a resole.
Where are you in Stc MN ??😊
First time I've seen these taken apart. I have a pair of 606's with these soles. They became ultra comfortable but of course the soles just fell apart after years of use. Looked into resoling but the heel counters are broken on both boots and not worth messing with. Maybe I can repurpose the leather for something else someday.
Looks great
You Worked So Hard taking the Rubber Sole Off. I bet it Ruined your sanding disc? It came out Perfect!
That’s Correct This particular sole gets melted on the sand paper , I actually stopped working on these type of boots!
Thank you for posting this. I've got a pair of new 606's and an older pair of 202's with the first generation Supersole. Both are made using this manufacturing process and I've been wondering how resoling them would work since the welt is rubber and Red Wing changed their sole install process using a liquid rubber in the recent past.
✋🏻👊
Tengo unas iguales pero me gustaria quitar el forro de tela interior para que no sea una bota muy ancha crees que eso sea posible?
Great job where are yu located I just bought a pair and I hate the soles, it's like walking on a sponge, I need to replace that crappy sole
I don’t work on those boots anymore!! The service cost you more than a new pair.
looks like it harder and more time consuming to resole compared to heritage goodyear welted red wing.
It is one of the hardest sole to work with, I actually stopped working on this type of boots!
@@AaronG2480 Changed my mine from buying this model. better stick to regular vibram on stitched midsole.
I own 6. There great boots. I’ve had 2 resoled after darn near 15 years. They are super confortable. And have gone thru construction hell . Redwing resold them for $119. I obviously would get this treatment if it was t such a pain in the ass. But my resoled ones are going on 5 or 6 years and they are super comfortable, better than my Originao infantry boots after 8 years in the infantry
If I sent you a pair of supersole for a full restore, put it on your channel.? Oh yea and price and contact info!
Reviveshoerepairg@mail.com
That’s how they should come from the factory, great job sir!
The super soles literally fall apart on their own.
Literally!!!thanks saso!!🙏
I’ve been wearing super soles for years. They are pretty durable and comfortable.
This is the pure 100% art of shoes repair.
This is epic man. Would you consider receiving boots mailed to you from BC Canada ? I need my red with supersole 2.0s re soled and from the video you do quality work !
That type of Red Wing sole are a pain in the ass to remove. Ariat boots can be like that too. Good work man!
Thanks seth, I actually hate this “súper sole “ 😅
I love this guy! Addicted to these boot repair videos. Making them better than when they were new. Hoping he takes mail in repairs. Would love to get a few of mine resoled.
You are absolutely a great craftsman and a great artist
🙇♂️
How much did you charge to do that. I have to find me someone that will work on my red wings besides red wings themselves.
Excellent work man!
Thanks 🙏
It almost seems less work to replace the whole inner sole and gemming, what do you think?
Has anyone ever herd of pecos 1285 got a pair not to long ago
Hey revive shoe repair, those 2.0 super sole are hard to remove huh!! Nice work!!
Thanks Superman!! this soles are vulcanized !✌🏻
Ha! I have those same exact boots 2408, the same thing happen to to that original gummy sole. At first I thought a mouse ate it😂…but I worked in a bus depot and think the diesel and coolant probably ate through it. I won’t send to red wing for a resolve because I think they’ll only put that same type of sole back on. I gotta find a great boot- man like you on the east coast.
Great job you did !
How much would that be
Excellent work Man, better than factory for sure!
much better than the original redwing vulcanized sole... you did a great a work Aaron !!!!see you on our next project ...
Hey primo!! Thank you I can’t wait for it!😁😁
That's an interesting sole, I've never seen that before. Looks very comfortable and grippy.
It’s trash…it’s a cheap semi-clear gummy sole, molded over black foam. Chemicals such as oil, coolant and ice melting salt will eat right through it. I have a pair, it’s the 2408 I showed really quickly in a youtube video I posted. Other than that the leather of the boot is great.
I can vouch for this boot! Red Wings is an amazing boot for longevity, and repairs are what you saw here just now. I am a land surveyor and have had my first pair for over a decade now, and they just recently started to be in need of repair on the souls. It has not been easy treading with them. I used these just about 5 days a week for work . It's a superb work boot for the price, and its quality is one of the best I have purchased ever. Not to mention they electronically measure your width and length of your foot to give you the perfect fit. So, they are literally one of the most comfortable boots I have worn.
Lol They are not cheap at all. 😄
They are probably close to being the most perfect pair of boots you could ever own. 👍
Cheers to my next purchased pair soon! 12yrs later. 😊
I just bought a pair of 6”black. Can’t wait to wear them. Quality boots to last a lifetime
wow! great job. They look way better with that sole than the original.
Thanks, a lot of customers complain about this
“super sole” from what I’ve seen they suddenly star falling apart on their own!!
I have a pair of these super soul. 2.0 what does it cost to resole them?
Unfortunately we don’t work on them anymore.
hell, this super soles are mess. great work!
Thanks John ,been honest I don’t like to
re- craft this particular super sole style 😅 it takes to much time!!
Exemplary job, my friend!
Thanks my man 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
I have 6 pairs of theses. 2 I had resolved by Redwing. They are extremely comfortable boots. But the sole dies deteriate over time with it without use. I have had 2 fall apart. That’s just normal. Mine where probably 15 years old befire they did it. And yes I would have them resoled by this gentleman but I see it just too labor intensive
I own a pair and the sole broken down in 1 year and had crists sole put on and its been 2 years now and still plenty of sole
I’ve heard several costumers complaining about this “super sole” it seems like they’re not to good!!
@@AaronG2480 I been wearing them for years and never had issues. I wear these for work as real work boots. I always have 2 pairs and rotate them.
Great video!
That was a lot of work
It sure was, I actually stopped working on those boots!!
@@AaronG2480 I can see why! I suspect that to make it worth it you have to charge more and at some point it might be worth it for the customer…
The end product looked good tho!
I have a pair of 606s with the exact same issue. I don't like the supersole much but at my size (14H) there aren't a ton of options, I'd love to get a vibram sole on them instead of sending them to Red Wing for another supersole.
Outstanding.
I recently got some Red Wing Dynaforce with the Super sole. What’s your opinion on the Supersole? Seems a little heavy and uncomfortable to me.
Redwing; comfort but they fall apart fast.
Do you take mail in orders like other cobblers do on youtube and if you do how do i get in touch?
Yes I do!
Here’s my email

Hola amigo tengo las super sole 2.0 modelo 2233 y se ven diferentes estás, tienen el sole más duro no como estás que parece goma. Sabes si tienen cork por dentro o solo es algo que tú le pusiste?
I just a pair resoled from the factory in the same supersole.
Not many of you guys around anymore more thanks
Como puedo contactarte ? Tengo un par igual a esas , me gustaría repararlas
Was hoping to see Info about the sole , specifically the shank which is supposed to be puncture proof
How much does a repair like that cost
As hard as it looked to de- construct what a tuff boot
I’ve got the same boot. I need to do the same to mine. Looks great!
Are the 4007 soles non slip?
Yes they are!
@@AaronG2480 How long does the tread last?
The waffle tread will show noticeable after 6 months use. 👞 With bald areas on sole at one year. Still provides good grip even when completely worn
😊
looks brand new man, I just got a pair of these boots, have any idea how long the original sole lasted the guy?
I really don’t sir!!!
Thanks!!
Very cool!
Do you no longer offer resoeling for supersoles?
Not anymore to expensive, even more than the boots, it takes hours and hours
Can I send my 606s remove the steel toe and vibram sole , midsole, and leather welt?
Cuanto saldria eso para enviartelas. Gracias compa
@@mikeytheyoutuber9463 hace falta una horma especial, y le costaría mucho más que las mismas botas.
No se lo recomiendo
Hey i have the same boot do you still resole and re welt them and about how much that cost I was gonna try to do it myself but its a work lol
I don’t do this anymore,✋🏻
@@AaronG2480 Damm I was just going to ask the same...I have a new pair of like to have a Cristy wedge sole put on....😔
Hi Jay, the reason I don’t do it anymore is because it cost even more than a new pair, but when clients pay for it I can do it.
@@AaronG2480 ok I'll keep that in mind I love the redwing rigger 3568 boot but the don't sell it in the states anymore.. my idea is to resole a pair of super soles with a wedge if it's possible
Did you replace the shank? It looked white-ish or covered with something when you took the old one out.
In any case, great job. That is how they ought to come from the factory. NOT a fan of SS2.0.
I used the same one, fiberglass shanks are strong enough for this type Resole,
I actually stopped working on the( Super sole) to much time .
