That styling is modern and retro at the same time in my opinion. I like it
Its gonna like the harley of these stand up jet skiis, kinda remind me of an old toaster i had
Yo....whats that set up on the handlebars that you're lookin at? Mine doesn't have that.
Yo..I like my SJ. The long island sound can be challenging...and I love it. Well...I gotta go.
I’m interested but torn between the Kawi and Yamaha, which one is better and why?
Does somebody has freestyle videos with this 1050? Backflip? 180?
The fact their are some really sick stand ups available they should have modernized the looks way more it sceams 90s square styling
Yeah, it's perfect
Man if you can stand on it at idle... that to me says all the fun of a stand up has been sucked out of it
They added cupholders and Netflix to the 2023 models
@@Snarf_Le_Wombat lol just needs airbags.
Total shit box bigger heavier who wants that you want small and nimble like the older model.
Try launching that thing on your own in rough seas with deep sand
Very nice video, curious what the handling was set at, Yamaha said you can put it at 2 settings, 16 degrees and 19. I wonder if it handles snappier at the higher setting.
For this video we left everything as we received it from the dealer.
I wanna try this.
LMAO the stock steering is trash. The whole thing is trash. Have to go aftermarket because Yami won't listen to the people that buy their skis.
its a couch with a tray. i turns like a barge. You like it because you bought it.
Is yamaha delivering The new super jet to the dealers yet? I ordered one from Riva in south Florida, They told me yesterday they have no idea when they will get them. I'm so jealous watching your video!!!
We have seen several dealers start to get units. It seems to be at random though. Hope you get yours soon!
Donise just saw you in this video for the first time in almost 30 years dude.... We miss the Jetski scene. 2 old farts with a grown kid now. Perry & Donise Wright say hi! Still got both my square nose's. They have sat 20 years now, in my trailer.
Want to sell? Why isn't your kid riding it?
Top speed?
location?
How tall is the male rider? I am 6 4, 220lbs trying to decide between this and the kawa.
Chris is about that weight, but maybe an inch taller.
I don't see any tricks like tail stall, firehose, etc....so that tells me the extra 100 lbs just isn't as nimble as the old 2 stroke super jet.
Even 5 lbs matters this whale is obese...
Took possession of my 22' SJ in November. Noticed the 175 pound weight limit sticker on mine too. Any ideas on why they have that on there or what it actually means because there are many people riding these well over that weight?
It's because it's junk. Sell it and buy a two stroke 2009+ SJ
I think it's to discourage alcoholics from riding jet skis.. forces them to stay on their deck barges.
@@Snarf_Le_Wombaty’all just suck at riding it bruh, lmao
This thing looks like fun, not for racing definitely.
so what happens when you roll the ski over on accident being 4 stroke and all?
It craps the engine eventually this thing is junk
Seems like such a limited production number. Not a factor for most people. Maybe Yamaha will take preorders for 2022. Until then it’s the old RN and aftermarket hulls being a better option.
It's a joke is what it is
Seems like a good starting point for the aftermarket parts to start flowing...
Game on!
Where did you learn to ride! Lol!
Ill stick to the jetski..
It kills me when people test a boat on flat water. A brick will ride perfectly on flat water! Lol
Too expensive for what it is and what you get. This shouldn’t be over 5-6k tops.
She’s pretty timid of it
"It's not that bad"
"It's not terrible"
"New riders won't be miserable *cringe face*"
"If you have JetTrim and a rideplate it won't feel as squirrely"
For almost $12k out the door the thing better be pretty damn good, and this video really drives the point home that it's *not*. I don't see it being a competitor to the 1500 without a turbo and even then... seems like a flop parts bin ski that will be limited release because Yamaha is clearing out TR1 bins.
Hey if you are a novice that feels like spending $10000 bucks to find out if you like skis, It's sounds like its perfect..... But for everybody else it's about 70% as good as we wanted. I kinda feel like we wanted a corvette and they built a miata. I'm sure it's sweet, but it's down on power. I haven't heard anybody say it turns better than the old one, just better for novices.
Every bone stock ski needs handling and mats etc. Usually you need a pole too, but Yamaha helped out with that. Im not disapointed with what Im seeing.
@@timshady7099 it's disappointing that a halfway decent built sxi pro would actually dust this ski around a course. Shit, BJS builds some pretty gnarly 550s that would put this thing to shame. Half the price, too.
For $12k ish I would expect mid to high 50s and fairly decent handling. 54mph with the current is not what I would call satisfactory
12K OTD? You paying too much.
This^^^ four stroke SJ absolute 🗑️🚮

It’s so plain looking! I realize a lot of people like to customize their ski, but for the money it costs they could have put some graphics on it. Maybe sell it in a couple colors.
We think maybe they kept it simple since usually everyone rips the stock graphics off at some point!
Plenty of graphics will be available from aftermarkets. I like the fact that I wont have to spend much time removing stock graphics.
Looks much better without OEM livery.
These things are so expensive for what they are… they should be like 1/3rd of what the cost actually is
Doesn’t look like anyone with a older superjet would want it. Looks like it’s a better idea to buy a DASA mother and keep your old ski. Looks disappointing!
Motore generoso e modulabile ma lo scafo non è all’altezza della concorrenza ingovernabile è impreciso non inserisce e di girare sulla boa neanche ci pensa ! Bella ma da rivedere assolutamente!
I wanna be my 🐕
I want to buy a new one a 4 strokes
I don't like it. Can't beat the good old 2019 yamaha 2 stroke superjet , great for carving up waves and sharp turns.
That’s so funny! LMAO 2 stroke....done, gone, buried! Electric toys will soon bury all these gas engine dinosaur’s
@@JQUICK21 dont think so g
@@khaledmaher6602 i do, wait until you see how fast a battery operated one is.
@@pantloaded yea but it won't be convenient
@@pantloaded I would like to see a fast battery operated stand up :) I love electrics but the battery technology isnt here yet
The sarcasm isn’t helpful
Yamaha water pig, almost as big as the kawasaki, too big, probably has good power but nowhere near as fun or agile as my 2005
Wow thanks Yamaha you successfully ruined the SuperJet name it will be forever associated with this beluga fail whale.
Wow dude you're pretty bitter, if you don't like it don't buy it.
I own it and it's sick in the surf, launching on my own.
Sure it needed mats and handlebars but not much else.
I own a KAWI 750SXI as well modded up it's a different beast all together.
And yes i have rolled it more than once and it's still running great.
What do you own that makes you such an expert????
@@asdmuzak a full bolt on limited superjet I built myself, it's better than the four stroke in every way buddy, check my page stalker
Not stable. I dont like it.
Ride a 440 then you can talk
