This is the one of the best interpretations of this piece, it sounds a little similar to the Radu Lupu interpretation. I already think that Schubert is VERY UNDERRATED in terms of piano and this impromptu is my favourite, I can just imagine an 18-year-old Schubert playing this on his piano on a rainy day. What a lovely, dynamically-sensitive interpretation. This, along with the G Flat and E flat, are my favourite Schubert Impromptus. Please play the other two sometime, especially the G Flat in memory of my old schoolmate, Jann Rutherford, who used to play it by hart as she learned it from the Braille score.
