Dang calm down Traum. Save some Chopin/pieces for the rest of us! 🤣 It’s really cool to see these pieces performed so well in this format. Thanks again for sharing!
You went and did it again. My mother and I were supposed to go to a concert last year, which obviously got cancled due to the pandamic and just today I asked her: "Why not have the concert we missed now?". The pieces were the four Scherzos from Chopin. Infamous for their technical difficulty and articullation, but you totally nailed it all. We sat down and watched this video like a movie. We had a great time thanks to you. Many people think that what you are doing there is something unreachable and that you must be a overly talented individual. And no doubt about you being talented, but people tend to ignore or are unable to recognize the countless hours you spend practicing everything over and over again, for years while painstakingly edging out the small details in your articulation and technique. I have whitnessed everything myself, having just 'finished' the Fantasie-Impromptu. I started playing the piano just two years ago at the age of fourteen, and have only had a teacher for about one. ( His great-grandmother was thought by Klara Schumann, and now he is teaching me. ) I can count myself lucky, but haven't really invested that much time into practicing the tecniques and stuff, but just have a burning passion that wont stop and I will use that passion to reach for the stars. I may have started later than many others, but I cannot let that discourage me in any way. Anyone can do what you do if they spend a decade concentrating and working hard enough. But it is also fascinating to whitness someone who made it, who pulled through and earned the respect of everyone. I am so damn glad people like you exist. You give people who think not of you as someone unreachable a goal and a common mindset: "Become like me, for I have used not what was, but what could have been."
that final phrase remembered me of another phrase that will stick to me until forever, that should be on we all: "you need to have your goals to reach the impossible. put sweat and tears on getting that. even if you didnt reach that, you, atleast, have been very close to that." thats the mindset we should all have. that keeps you motivated.
