- Dead Island 2 recently got a new extended gameplay trailer, With Dead Island 2 set to release within a month. Dead Island 2 has had one of the longest development cycles with so many delays and so many chances of us never seeing Dead Island 2 actually release today I just wanted to have a simple conversational piece on the game and its recent extended gameplay trailer.

One thing it needs to be successful? Fully compatible and comprehensible modding support.
Modders make games like this way more fun and replayable.
Seeing as it currently is on the Epic Games store, it'll be pretty unlikely and if it came to Steam, then it would need to have the workshop.
I know for a fact they have planned DLC for a later date for additional locales, story, classes, weapons and zombie types.
If it does well, sure the DLC might keep it going, but that'll just disrupt modding capabilities.
I don't think it will have modding support at least not for a very long time. It might be fun for the first playthrough, maybe a second playthrough with 2 other friends (3 player coop currently). It'll be good, but nothing that'll keep me playing.

The graphics looks good. I hope my 5600xt can run it.

Like a vendor? Id believe so, the original did. Considering workbenches and how they work are returning id imagine vendors are as well
Normally I would prefer to experience the game myself than watch others and I normally know when a game will be good or not just by seeing some gameplay and using critical thinking but in this games case the game has been in dev hell for so long, passed around to dev after dev who went bankrupt then finished by the devs who made messy games with their last being homefront the revolution.
Then all the gameplay we have seen has been bull shot snipped and tailored gameplay.
i am very sceptical of the quality of the game and I would wait until I see non shill raw gameplay.

Ign jus gave RE4 a 10/10, but im not going by ign preference because i might think differently about it, thats whyI always keep my expectations low when it comes to games with amazing looking graphics lol, that way I won't be too disappointed if it does flop to a certain degree
After Dying light 2 released I felt cheated because the game didn't match the hype...at all and honestly never went back to it I truly hope this game has something that keeps me hooked and has me coming back years down the road the only game over the last 10 years to do that for me was Doom Eternal which to say the least has some big shoes to fill

i just hope they up the enemy variety and tone down the RPG elements this has single handedly ruin dying light 2 for me.
In earlier Dead Islands, you could turn off rpg type settings via options menu!
@@Notworthy85 I dont remember being able to turn it off and I played dead island recently buy the light skill system and weapon cycle was never an issue.
the game is just supposed to be a coo coop zombie killing sandbox playground.
I dont need some deep story or quality, just cool weapons, cool skills and explosions and gore.
