    there are so many diff recipes out there that IMO, over complicate thing - this is so simple to follow and tastes amazing! love the tip that its less sticky and can cut using a rubber spatula. personally i like smmaller pieces and managed to use this recipe and freely made 8 instead of 4!

    I have to say, I made these at home, I added a bit more matcha than you did because I like the taste. They came out really ugly but they were still delicious

      @@dawsoncarpenter2244 No, a good microwave has power options. Mine can heat with 10% power up to 100% power. I really recommend getting one like this if your microwave ever dies. I can defrost fish without spot-cooking (still have to turn it) & even defrost shredded cheese in my microwave, without melting it! It's a nuanced & much used kitchen tool rather than something to just blast heat.

      NO! I tried and failed. You need sticky rice flour. It might be not named Mochiko but some other. Yoy need rice flour with high level of gluten. It has also sweety taste then. They always give this info on the package. Or just ask.

    • @izzy-cooking
      @izzy-cooking  4 года назад +1

      You can let it cool down slightly until it's not too hot to touch. You can definitely add more matcha powder if you prefer a stronger taste. Just keep in mind that your mochi will have a darker green color when you add more powder.

I hope you use this recipe without the plastic wrap and it ruins the mochi by burning it and your smoke alarm goes off and after the batteries are out it won’t stop
