The debate of Goku vs Saitama is one that has existed for a long time and will likely continue to exist forever, but instead of pitting the two against each other, in todays video, I explore a different type of hypothetical. What If Goku had Saitama's Potential?

Nothing would actually change until namek because everyone in opm has the same potential, and saitama just broke his limiter, which nobody else had done before. Goku only went through training he couldn't handle on the spaceship with 100x gravity or something, which might have broken his limiter if we applied saitama stats to him, however saitama broke it over a 3 year time span.

The thing about One Punch Man is your seeing that character for the first time after he has already reached his most powerful and fully reached his limits(or at least at that point) so to put it in perspective i would say when Goku is first introduced he would already have Mastered Ultra Instinct 🤷 where on the story he is introduced would be interesting to see tho, at least thats my understanding of it

I think people keep missing the fact that Saitama grew that much from just one fight, but he grows even without fighting, just slower but still very fast. If he was in Goku's Universe and trained, he'd dominate everyone besides Zeno, who can just look at him, and he's gone.
1:05 Guide books state that a power level of 10k makes you a planet buster to a point where you could even destroy larger planets. Earth is relatively small by Dragon Ball standards so a lower power should suffice though I'd say it'd be more realistic that MAYBE Nappa could destroy earth with his power level of 4000. I'd say Radditz' 1500 is a bit of a stretch though starting DB classic with a power level of 4000 would make the story pretty boring, I guess.

Honestly, a retelling of Dragon Ball where Goku never needs to transform and is basically 100 year time skip GT Goku level just by doing Saitama's training intrigues me greatly. Makes me wonder how BoG would go. Beerus shows up, acts all disappointed that there is no Super Saiyan god only for Goku to literally 1 tap him every time he gets back up. Would be fun.

Only difference between saitama and rest of mankind is he ate monsters before training.
So a Zenkai Boost daily without having to face near death? Goku would be invincible. No being would be able to beat him in any series. Also, include that DB characters are WAY stronger than any other character from One Punch Man.
How does it make sense that super is wholeheartedly the same? if goku beat frieza in base and he went full power and STILL went to train into the hyperbolic time chamber and achieved an even greater base with super saiyan, plus the 2 year timeskip before gero arrived, wouldn't that put him at a WAY above level? plus I am pretty sure he'd still be training albeit with no real goal in those skips.
I think it's not fair to say that super goes about the same... I'd think super basically is easier 😭especially if you put training from whis into the schedule, you'd think goku would probably one shot the grand priest after a while if he trains hard enough, especially if he reaches "unquantifiable" levels by the frieza saga.
Power scaling makes sense up until the cell arc because we can assume gero has been literally going over goku's dna for the whole time, assuming cell has some of this same goku's potential and assuming the androids are TUNED to that level of power, I think it'd be fair to say that the android saga is as hard as ever, but I just do not think... super would be the same, it'd probably be a wash for goku since he'd automatically start scaling to whis and beerus, and if saitama's potential is anything to go by... I think it's safe to say beerus would legitmately find an actual rival and not even by the end of the series...
I disagree. Frieza didn’t know what the SSJ was. It’s fair to assume that he would literally just think goku is the super saiyan. And tbf I didn’t want to go into super. Goku would one shot the grand priest is crazy. Power levels stopped being quantifiable in just numbers by the end of the frieza arc. That’s what I meant my unquantifiable in the sense that he would be well above frieza arc power levels but goku is NOT getting any where near grand priest or angel level lll

everything after beerus continue as it is but for goku black he gets one shot by blue goku then zamasu gets sealed by raditz in the tournment of power as goku fighting jiren gokus power starts rising just like the fight of saitama and garou and if he did get into ultra instinct thats overkill , broly gets the same treatment as jiren

goku would have the potential of an average human guy imo, and i can prove it.
It wasnt the training regimen per se that made saitama stronger, even though he sees it as that.
It was the fact that he was training waay beyond his limit. Bro wasnt training till failure, not even injury, bro was training even after injuring his muscles. On top of literally fighting crime and occasionally monsters when they showed up.. Saitama had a almost 100% chance of dying in the process, but because he didn't die, his body adapted and became stronger and stronger. And even after getting used to the 3 100s and 10km sprint, he was fighting any monster he came across, many waay over his league. He survived tho, and bc he survived, he reached absolute strength by breaking his limiter.

Saitamas training isn't really all it Is the purpose behind the training is that it's what helped unlock is "monster form" kinda like the crab guy when he did his training he broke his limiters so if goku was able to break his limiters like Saitama did then he would be able to be as strong as him
The whole reason why saitama isnt a monster is because he focused on himself and how he would fight back
Monsterfication comes from obsession or corruption from God. Crablante liked crabs, vaccine man is a born monster, Nyan had a superiority complex, and original monster garou *obsessed* over being a monster. Goku has similar reasoning to Saitama so it makes sense why he wont become a monster, but at the same time it likely just doesn't work like that here
