From 1957 to 1969, Jim Henson made hundreds of short commercials featuring the Wilkins and Wontkins characters for an array of products around the country. He reshot the ads originally made for the Wilkins' Coffee Company in the Washington area to sell everything from gasoline to loaves of bread. Here are a few examples.

I feel like I’ve stepped into some strange alternate universe. Seeing Wilkins and Wontkins advertise products that aren’t Wilkins Coffee just feels bizarre and not right.
I'm just glad they had an add for Faygo.
I thought Wilkins only killed for Wilkins coffee, now it turns out he murders men for any brand that pays.
Correction: He murders WONTKINS for any brand that pays. Over, and over, and over again. Pray you never get on Wilkins's bad side, for if you are, there is no escape.

Yeah, they would be enslaved to advertise either cars or all these miracle drugs that you should run to your doctor and ask if you can get a prescription for.
From what I found Community Coffee was a Wilkins product, and the Red Diamond advertising was made after they stopped making ads for WIlkins.
Apparently Henson didn't even like coffee.

I like how Wontkins just casually eats his pie even though Willkins just slammed it in his face
I know this is 3 years old, but he’s not eating it. That’s just a character trait of wontkins. He always moves his lower lip in a circular fashion. You can see it in other commercials, particularly in this clip near the end where he starts the commercial and there’s a second or two before the action. It’s a nervous tick that’s supposed to make him look like more of a stooge.
I love how they got rid of all mentions of Wilkins coffee
But it’s still Wilkins and wontkins
What I can never get over is how short these ads are, most around 10 seconds. They're simple skits that simply drop the name brand in (some are repeated for different products), which may be considered a weakness from an advertising perspective. To be fair, for some items (especially food products) there's not much to sell people on. They bank on the comedy and let word of mouth do the rest.
The advertisements you see most often today easily push past the one minute mark, bore you with muttered legal disclaimers about what they're trying to sell you on, and generally treat you like an idiot.
For real....you hit the nail on the head. But Wilkins coffee will hit your head with the nail!
