I wanted to do that to a real life version of this truck, which I believe is a Chevrolet Apache, but I lacked the money, experience (as I was only around 13 or 14 at the time), and a sane and stable stepfather that also had enough money to pay for a proper restoration of the truck. I know that it would have looked nice if it was restored.

Amazing what a little sand blasting will do. Love the Tonka line. At one time in life I think my kids had every one of them. Made christmas so easy. That was a great restore. Your a real artist.

This is a 1958 Pickup #2. It was the only year that the truck had the holes for the tailgate and the plain tires (no whitewalls) and 5 round holed hub caps. Great job on the restoration. I did a 1959 pickup #2 for my channel.

Initially i thought, why didnt you bring the head lights just like the rest to better than new condition....
But actually, it is what i like about this restoration the most. Its top notch restauration and the headlights are a small tip your hat to the age of this toy. I doubt, that the truck ever looked this good.
Thank you for creating and sharing this video. Looking forward to your next projects.
