Thank you!
I grew up in the 60's and love history. I remember the electric fan, gumball machine, parking meter, and Tonka trucks. Everything you restore is a priceless object because no one makes them anymore. I just wanted you to know how much I enjoy your restorations.
I like how every one of these restoration channel guys have slightly different equipment and techniques. This fella is killing it with the sandblaster and powder coat paint jobs.
@@RavenBlack74 Congratulations is in order. You were somehow able to extrapolate a negative criticism from my positive comment.
@@RavenBlack74 what's your problem? I think it's a fella . Buapo was leaving a positive comment , who cares about their gender?
Also the person that made this video liked the original comment , so I don't think it affected him
@@RavenBlack74 look at his other videos. He has hair on his hands . Pretty sure he is a white man
Buapo yeah! And Andre has his hardworking team of pony and cat (and goat I think?$
@@RavenBlack74 F-Off with your crap.
Absolutely outstanding restoration! And I LOVE the way you do your videos! No loud obnoxious music overdub or pointless narration! Just clean editing and letting the work speak for itself! Well Done!
FOAD RIGHTNOW, you said it for me. This is amazing!
EXACTLY
This was one of the most beautiful restorations I have ever seen.
FOAD RIGHTNOW WELL SAID!!
Narration would make this 11:55 video 20 minutes plus. On auto repair videos, good narration is a must as well as any other instructional video. So few people know how to do it though... The most common mistake I see made is turning a 2 minute project into a 15 minute rambling video. So "pointless narration" is DEFINITELY a thing!
Is there anyone else who particularly enjoys the sandblasting portions of these videos?
Kyle Aldrich Yes! Therapeutic almost.
@@88SC Absolutely. It's also one of the things that he does where I say to myself "I could do that!"
ME
The sandblasting is very therapeutic, love your work.
Yes. Yes
Me: Watches these videos.
Me: Dear Santa, this year I would like a sand blaster.
It's great, isn't it?
And I would not even know what to do with it.
@Vote Blue 2020 Hey this guy is for big government, open borders and all kinds of crazy stuff
This channel was randomly recommended to me and I've fallen in love, the work you do is amazing and I'm glad I found it. I hope you do much much more in the future!!
Jaws1754 houses’ face in your profile pic omg
Same....
Me 4
I can see colonel Paton pulling up in it right now
Same
Glad you keep most of the sand blasting in, my favorite part to watch.. excellent work as usual
Me too
It's the most satisfying part.
Same
Nothing beats a good blaster at your side, kid!
I like the blasting as well. I so like watching the powder coating baking on.
Sandblaster is actually more therapeutic than a therapist would ever be :D
I repair surgical instruments, and get to bead-blast tiny mechanical parts every day. It never gets old, it is so satisfying :D
True!!! So satisfying, please don't edit those parts out, thanks!
So truuuuuuuueee!!
Gotta agree with the other comments. The sandblasting is my favorite part of the video. Very satisfying indeed.
@@GhostOfJulesVerne Amazing what can be done. I would have just smashed this up with a hammer!
Having watched a lot of these types of vids, this is the cleanest, calmest, most complete vid for my OCD. Thank you so much R & R dude.
A D
Please search for Mymechanics as well. Very thorough job, finely detailed, very calming.
Also, checkout Hand Tool Rescue. He restores tools
You self-diagnosed OCD that you use to manipulate people you mean?
for the commentator who asked further down the page, I indeed enjoy the sandblasting sections, as I enjoy learning from most of the technical detail. These videos have helped me solve a number of metalwork problems I've been scratching my head over, indeed one of them will be going to a sandblaster later this week. John W. Murrumbateman, NSW, Australia
It looks brand new!! Great choice for the colour, it looks very good with the stickers. Good job :-)
Looks great
Dude.. awesome job, is perfect
You should know. You're an amazing restorer yourself!
Filip Šmatelka I had this Jeep when I was a kid. The blue/green was the original color, so the white interior looked better with that.
my mechanics Aren’t you due for another video? 😉
It's pretty amazing to not only have the ability to do these restorations and undertake all the grueling steps involved but to document them in such an aesthetically pleasing way. Cheers for the videos! Great channel!
Your videos are fun to watch! Thank you for not showing the end result in the preview. I too enjoy the sandblasting!
No entiendo porqué hay personas que le dan "no me gusta", que rayos les pasa??
Este es un trabajo espectacular, el resutado es simplemente increible...
Y ni hablar de lo relajante que son estos videos, me encantan 🤩
The sandblasting parts are so calming.

Yeah, this really is a great channel.
You may have heard this before, but I am so glad there is no background music in your videos. I will never take on something like this personally but I find your videos fascinating. Thank you!
And then we have cool people like you that does awesome work and restorations i'll be watching this nice job 😀
I don’t know why but I find this channel soooo soothing and satisfying... I’m hooked for life.
I do vintage R/C restorations but always looking to expand. This video caught my eye because one of these Jeeps is in my Grandmother's garage (most likely one of my Uncles) and now I totatlly want to restore it. Pretty sure it is blue, but I love the Army green powder. Great idea and the decals are a nice touch, Thanks for the uploads and you do amazing work!!!
Tip: You can use a small O ring on your rivet gun to keep from scuffing the painted rivets.
One problem: no Army jeeps ever had a white interior.
Love this, I also love how you don’t use any background music, just the sounds of the tinkering is enough to put me to sleep. Lol keep the vids coming! :)
I could happily watch you sand blast things all day. Much better than those 'most satisfying' vids.
Also, powder paint baking. Second favorite part.
@Paranormal News Today Ikr?
Watching that powder just merge with the metal is really satisfying isn’t it?
And he used a matte army green! Perfect!
@@mariocar0727 That matte paint morphs into the most glossy of paints in any of his projects, and it's so fascinating!
Any discerning boy would be proud to own and play with this beautiful piece under adult supervision. I love your work. Especially the oven unit. Saved to my playlist: Artmakers.
No music, calm & peace while fixing stuff, love it !!!
This looks just perfect. Idk why it was in my recommended but whoever did it, deserves all the praise. Perfect. Brilliant. Amazing
Fantastic job sir, another one saved from the grave👍
Thank you for including more Sand Blasting shots! They’re my favourite part of the video!
Many decades ago, I pulled one of those Jeeps behind my bike with a string, because why not? The damage done after a few days was pretty bad. Then, I had the bright idea to build a small fire under it. It didn't stay small for long. Nice to see one brought back to life.
Another incredible job!! You should have your own public museum!!
My two favorites restoration channels: yours & "my mechanics" !!! Already watched more than 20 channels but u both have impressive quality over quantity, always searching for perfection, thanks for this amazing job! My new hobby on RUclips is watch videos like this over and over without feel bored, again, thanks for your hardwork!! Cheers from Brazil 😃

I haven’t seen any My Mechanics thanks for recommending them I’ll definitely give that channel a look😊

You're so calm and patient when working. Really enjoy the videos!
I'm amazed with the quality and the strong build of that tonka jeep, being that it was from the 60's and all the metal is flawless under the paint, absolutely great!
I had one of these jeeps as a kid.....miss those days...i watched quite a few of his videos and I love the way that he places all the parts on his bench in order instead of like some guys just leaving them all over....very methodical and this guy does unbelievable work...
Museum quality restorations in my eyes....wish i had this kind of talent.
Been watching these the last two nights before bed. What a gem of a channel. You’re so loving and careful with your work, as if the person who played with this a child is personally overseeing the job.
6 videos and already one of the best if not the best restoration channel. Wonderful videos! Keep 'em coming!
Ahhh, for the first time I finally got that you had been powder coating the rivets as well, off camera. Now I understand how they matched so perfectly in other videos!
Настоящий профессионал! Молодец! Приятно посмотреть!)
I had this very same jeep growing up. I woke up one Christmas and it was on my chest, I had the light blue one. Kept it for years, loved playing with it and a G.I.joe. Absolutely the best toy I ever got @
It's really amazing to see these old toys taken apart. The quality of materials, the care in the craftsmanship, attention to detail. Just don't see that anymore. Love how this turned out.
Man! Love watching the powder-coating process. Gives a whole new meaning to "I'd rather watch paint dry" ...literally!
The whole sand blasting is by far my favorite thing! Wish you wouldn't speed through it! It's very soothing and therapeutic!
Huh, you would enjoy my job then I spend 50% of my day standing over a blasted sandblasting cabinet.
Fantastic job, love the fact you powder coat and what a smart idea to coat the rivets before you used them, well done that man!
I know nothing about engineering why use powder?
I didn't even know powder paint was a thing, even then I'm still not sure what it is. But it looks real cool
I know right - pre-painted pop rivets ... blink’n brilliant!
Experience. - Great respect.
@@WadeAlmaI think its because due to the nature of the electrical charge in powder coating it gives the item a perfectly uniform coat of paint
@@aasherahmed4389 Thanks.
Another superb job! Looks brand new. Some collectors prefer "patina", but I like a full restoration to like-new condition. This jeep is ready for another several decades of love.
I had this jeep when I was 6 years old. It was incredibly sturdy, and we used to sit on it and ride down the small slope in our yard. Lots of great memories.
I noticed the jeep might of been a blue or turquoise color at one time? I remember having one as a kid and it also came with a boat and boat trailer. Nice job of restoration!
When I look at this I think of how much fun the original toy designers and manufacturers must have had making these.
These vids are so relaxing. The best kind of ASMR.
These are the best restoration videos, no boring "I did this, then I did that, then I did the other" commentary, it's video, we can see what he's doing.
You make contributions, not only to cultural nostalgia, but to the retention of history. This is a great service to our country and our culture. Your work must be celebrated. We owe you a debt of gratitude.
The paint removal from the plastic parts of the car was soooo satisfying to watch
Being the owner of a 67' CJ 5. I got excited when I saw the title of this video. Thank you for doing it justice! It turned out great!
Wow great restoration. Thank you. I had this same Jeep but mine was painted orange and had a roll cage. That brought back some great memories.
As a kid I would try to take my toys apart and seeing these being taken apart and put back together is just the best feeling ever
That sandblasting on the flat piece was so satisfying.
Wish could watch the sand blasting longer. I get mesmerized just watching that part.
S.E. Miller, mezmorized?
@@timewralen7249 Fixed it. Didn't notice auto correct had changed it....Thank you
Some kid probably had a hell of a time playing with that jeep back in the 60's, and some kid absolutely would now. Another good job done bon the restoration, as usual. :)
Love watching the process, please keep the cool videos coming. Thank you
I swear all theses videos help me to feel tired and make me fall asleep because it’s calming to me and I love to see the paint stuff go on and it’s soooo mesmerizing
I love everything about this. Just everything. One odd thing I love is seeing the bits of dirt, rust and paints chips fall off when he is disassembling in the beginning.
I'll be in heaven if you ever do my favorite Tonka truck as a kid in the 70s-80s, the T9 bulldozer. Great work so far!
It was a very good job!!!... But the one with the piano is still the most impressive one...
Right
I vote the vintage toy oven. The mini-cakes at the end sealed the deal!
Runs to watch piano video...
@@kallymavromatis123 yeah
The Bingo one was the most amazing 😊
sand blasting and powder coating...pro all the way. Great job!
Ты лучший! Как здорово, вдохнуть жизнь в старые игрушки. Восхищён!
thank you for painting it Army Green. Your gentleness and respect for these old items is evident.
i hit the like button even before i view it ! i know its gonna be great !
mark simmons me too!
Me too. It's only been a few videos so far and already I just hit like and then watch it.
The army green is gorgeous but I wish a touch of some sort of color would've done for the plastic interior (I know there probably was not originally).
And I really appreciate that you share your tool list and links.
I agree I thought the seats and interior should of been tan or beige.Over all though the army green works perfectly IMO.
I would have preferred to have seen the original colour used. The green looks great but for me at least, restore also means the original colour...
👍💜
Gorgeous?? Army green is a dull, boring-ass color.
this same model also was used for barbie in pink and pink
Awesome Video Can't Wait For The Next One!😀
From the amount of equipment you have, and your professionalism, I would say this was your job and not just a hobby. How wonderful to have a job that you love so much!
Amazing workmanship. I have this Jeep in red, with white window frame, since about 1971! It's not got a scratch on it. I'm 56 now.
I VERY RARELY comment on RUclips videos...BUT...I do indicate "like"...and commented positively several times here.
However, I want to say how WONDERFUL & AMAZING it is to watch you..."masterfully"...restore these Tonka Vehicles.
I LOVED them as a child & wish I still had those "many" which Santa brought me every Christmas :- ))
My heart is happy as I watch you return these relics of childhood..."respectfully"...back to their original glory.
Actually, your ( more than ) skillful restorations are better than original. THANKS!!!!
Kindest regards, Ben
Looks Great! I thought it would look good in olive drab when I started watching the video, and it does! White walls on an Army Jeep...HA!...about time the Army got some "class". A pleasure to watch. Thanks!
Awesome! Just......awesome! Christmas mornings were off the hook back in the day! Finding this under the Christmas tree?? What??!! Bro, you just bring back the coolest memories. Sweet!
Another truly excellent restoration, this one is a surprise to me as I never knew that Tonka made a Jeep, not ever seeing one in my childhood or as an adult.
Nowadays regulators and parents would shy away from some pressed metal toys because of the belief that 'sharp edges' might cut little fingers.
I’ve seen several other RUclips restoration channels and yours is the best. It’s the right pace, no unnecessary commentary, real restoration projects. I can’t wait to see more.
Little Billy is gonna have so much fun out in the back yard with it. Tonka, the 1st name in toy trucks.
This is some awesome good quality content to watch when i'm on the toilet! 👌👍
I came for the Tonka and stayed for the Sandblast !!
I was so curious to see what colour you would make the jeep. And I’m so so excited that you chose army green it’s one of my favourite colours of all time😍
You inspire me to buy a model car now and restore it after 30 years later. Thanks!
Can't stop watching the only good RUclips videos I've seen

You are the Bob Ross of restorations
Curious... What do you do with the finished products? Do they go on display, or do they get played with by your children? I really enjoy your videos!
With this person's professional gear, I assume they sell them rather than just keep them for their own kids. Or maybe those are special commissions, clients who want them to restore the toys for them!
With this huge amount of work, I think this guy does not have any children😂😂😂
navyregrets I’m guessing that he sells them or pawns them so he can pay off all the equitment

A Tonka "Willy" Jeep, restored! I am SO enjoying this channel!
These videos completely have me hooked! The sounds of the metal hitting the table, the sandblaster, it's all so satisfying, I was never wondering why there wasn't music, it doesn't need it. It's really satisfying to watch and enjoy!
Many years ago a friend brought home an old Willys jeep that was sitting in his stepfather's garage. I had more fun driving that old jeep on the back roads than anything else I'd ever driven.
I am from Brazil, I accompany and love your work, continue like this, already anxious for the next video
"Why buy and create, if you can restore" 🙌
I remember Tonka trucks!! I’m not “old; I’m “vintage”. 😂
I loved seeing all the paint layers this keep went through being sandblasted away. This jeep became a new "man."
