As a fellow musician who also makes music sometimes we got to realize that we just don't make 'viral' music. We make music that feeds our soul but doesn't always feed into 'trends' and 'tiktok'. Sometimes it's okay to accept that we are regular musicians. Because lets be honest, if your main gig is not making music chances are your music is not going to be that viral thing because if it was, you and I wouldn't be making RUclips videos. Like there are so many musicians making more money from selling music promotion and advertising courses than they are from their actual music and that's because their music , probably like mine, is average or even if it's above average it's not 'ground breaking'. Like I make death metal music and the truth is while I think it's great and my fans think it's great it's not great enough that it puts me along with the top tier of artists in the genre. And i feel this is the case with most musicians who are on RUclips talking and making videos about music promotion and strategies and music marketing etc etc. Of course in your case you have nearly 100k monthly listeners on Spotify, how many people can say that? Not many I reckon. And while I'm not a fan of the style of music you create I can appreciate all your hardwork and I think your RUclips videos are absolutely killer! You really keep things real and props for that! \m/

We need Jesus to pay our fine, so we can go free from our crime(sin) and be able to go to heaven! To inherit eternal life you must repent from sin and trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior!! Good works don’t get you to heaven becuase that isn’t what we get convicted of! If you are in a court, and you robbed a bank you can’t say, “well, I fed the homeless... it wouldn’t work... I think you should have specific terms when hitting up people. For example, they need to keep the video up for a week. Pay half now and half when the 1 week is over. Also add some incentives so like, if they hit a certain amount of views, they get an addition X amount of money (this will ensure they upload the video at a time when their fans are most on tik tok, and will ensure they push it on their insta accounts too). It'll just help make sure they put a bit more into their efforts.

He doesn't even need to do that, all he has to do is properly word the message ie video must stay on your platform for x amount of time (indefinite is an option) then if they don't follow through he can contact the credit card company and file a chargeback for breach of contract (although this can only be done up to 180 days for most companies) if it's outside the 180 day time limit that most financial institutions allow his only option is small claims court.

This comment right here. 🙏 👏 Time of day that they post definitely affects the view count and they know that.. if they don't know that information I would be wary of doing business with them. Paying them half up front/half after a specified period with possibility for a bonus is the views exceed expectations is also a must. As you saw, some people don't put any effort into it when it's a quick couple bucks and no risk to them.

I think it just shows that viral tik-tok's is the ones that people believe in when they do them.
Like Rosie, who was really excited to do this tik-tok, as well as Austin. They liked the song and they believed in idea, and people feel it. That's why it was 2 best tik-toks on this song.
And when someone do tik-tok just because he needs to (because he get paid) and not because he liked the song and everything, people feel it too.

I think the error made was the under capitalized use of the crack sound. The "crack" is like the punchline of the dance so videos should end with that leaving the viewer with an abrupt stop which could be hilarious.
The video with the viewer reaction in the background was a good start but what should have happened was the influencer falls over at the crack sound and we dramatically zoom in on background girl. End of video.
For the mashup content, you need to mashup on songs that emphasize your punchline. So something that tells a narrative that leads to fall damage.
I have other ideas but this comment is long enough so let me know of you need more creative direction. Overall, continue to trust your instincts and don't be afraid to get specific in your vision.

@@TheDiecastFanatic yeah it felt too fake and generic imo, like its trying so hard to go and be viral tik tok song, but lacks all the catchy qualities of an actual viral tik tok song. Idk about tik tok, but if it has #ad on it like youtube or instagram or whatever, then its prob going to do smaller numbers either way. If its not an actually good song or even a catchy/creative one to create content around, it wont catch on with other creators either. I think the mashup was "ok" job by the guy, but the songs were not up there. The 2 good tik toks were only good for what the creators/dancers made out of it, could literally swap out the song for something else as generic and it would still be the same result. They had good charisma and put effort into it I guess, but the song just wasnt nearly as impactful as it should be. I cycled through the album quickly, most of it all just sounds and feels like a filler track on some charting big name mediocre album. Not a bad thing in terms of quality I guess, but theres no stand out track really. I think Black Hole Sun gets the clicks since its first track on album and RUclips people will check it out, but thats only going to take it so far. IMO Out of This World stood out a bit more to me, if I heard this on Spotify daily playlist or some random playlist, I would probably like the song or add it to my own playlist. Probably not a song I would remember and keep playing to go back to, but a song that I wouldnt skip and would vibe to if it came on. Money would probably been better spent pushing that track to be featured in some bigger playlist(s). If they are no-copyright songs, keep pushing them on your own playlist and others as such, I think it'll still do good for background music, pretty chill vibe and nice melodies.
Just wanted to type all this out as some "critical feedback", I dont mean no offense. It all makes for entertaining content on RUclips, which is probably more likely to go viral lol, love the channel and wish you best of luck, its gotta work some day.

I think what you're missing is the whole trend aspect. Look at what make trend, its something that people see and get inspired by it to make something there own. Trends give them creative ability to stretch trends to pretty new heights. Look at "Please Don't Go" by Mike Posner, It blew up on Tik Tok because of the creative trend that uses the audio. Trends should be something that everyone can do and expand on it might start with a few small creators and gets passed on to the general public and next thing you know everyone and their moms are doing that trend.
I feel like the whole trendy dance trend is looking at Tik Tok past rather than looking at the future and where it is going. These dances are boring and no one can put there own spin on them. The audience that watches these dance videos tend to be much younger than the target audience for your album. All in all I think trying to crack the Tok Tok code is impossible and the only way to find success on Tok Tok is through organic growth.

Well tried Patrick! About the mashup idea: my thoughts are that mashups work for (relatively) uknown artists to make a mash for a song which is already known (to lean on it). The other way around may also work, but I think that'll be harder. To be honest, I think you should take advantage of being a big influencer here on RUclips. To work with these smaller influencers is only a big ups for them to work with you, I think you can do a lot of those project / collaborations with them for free because they are willing to work with you to get bigger themselves too!

Nice vid I love when you experiment like this, these are really informative. I feel like the song waited too long to get to it’s selling point (the crack sound). Before that, it sounded like 1000s of other song on TikTok right now.
I’ve seen most songs on tiktok go viral because of a unique beat or lyrics that stand out and offer a wide variety of content types to be made (dances, skits, etc.) For this song, I feel like it plays it way too safe and just blends in with everything else. Maybe a more unique viral video idea for the song as opposed to just a dance would’ve incentivized people to use the sound. For example (this is just the marketing degree in me rambling haha) a vid idea could’ve been something like “when a thick girl in leggings walks by” and the dude’s neck snaps (on the crack sound) because of how fast he tries turning his next to catch a look at her. That’s just off the top of my head but I’m sure there are way better skit ideas than I just said lol, just wanted to give an example!
Love your content a ton man keep it up!

I think you should reach to the 1-2 big influencers and then reach more micro influencers, like pay for each video 10-20$ but get 100-200 videos with your sound, maybe this can work cuz people when wanna do the dance they mostly watch how many videos it has, because everyone wanna be famous. Maybe thats the problem cause when people see big influencer doin that dance and then see it has 4-5 videos, they undesrtand its paid promotion and dont wanna make a video with that sound.
But if they see a lot of people doing with it, they will think its a new trend.
And after all this you should do a trend mashup, doin just a regular mashup with no trendy songs will not help you to push your music.
