This might be because project sekai attracts the vocaloid community and so many fans already have experience with using vocal synths in songs (i assumed they’d be kinda similar to ai voices but guess not, sorry), but the fanmade covers themselves are based on the characters with human voice actors and voices so it’s just as impressive to me

i haven't watched the full video yet, but i promise you AI voice changers and RVC is just sometimes scary, or literally so fucking bad. it can be pretty easy or pretty complex to set up, depending on which route you take or what OS you use. (i use linux, btw) and theres even fucking joke voices (metal pipe, microwave sound, etc)
