For anyone that is disabled this is something you will get from time to time. "You can't come? Your Crohn's always gets bad when I'm having a party!" or "Are you sure you don't feel well, or is that just an excuse? Seems to conveniently happen when we're supposed to hang out!" or "Not again. I thought you found a treatment that was working for you? In the Crohn's commercials people seem to be able to go to things once they start treatment. It's okay to just say you don't want to come, you don't have to use Crohn's as an excuse."
I got that last one this week. Let's do better. We can all do better. If you're able bodied and watching this, please stop doing this to your disabled friends. It really does make you the a**hole.
