- Mitch impressed me with his hustle mentality to make his dream life on the road a reality. I try not to dwell on the past, but I would have killed to have this mindset when I was 20. What about you?

My husband and I are very proud of this younger generation the way they feel and think about things not controlling their lives and still helping others keep up the good work God bless
@FRANK, THIS GUY IS THE EXCEPTION, WAY TO MANY YOUNG DONT THINK OR ACT LIKE THIS TODAY. THEY HAVE THE ENTITLEMENT ATTITUDE,, BTW IM NOT YELLING JUST SEE CAPS BETTER
"The best things in life are NOT THINGS..." 😍🙏❤
Very impressed by this kid and his train of thought. This generation has so much more going for them then mine due to the age of tech and media.
At 20 years old, I was just about to start a job that I am STILL working in almost 30 years later. I'll have the pension (hopefully) but never the freedom or my time back. Way to go Mitch :-)
I have to respectfully disagree. Technology is an amazing thing, and it creates so many unusual opportunities, if you have the niche skills to capitalize on it, but realistically it is not a viable way to make a living for the majority. Young adults starting out today are NOT as blessed as is often portrayed. 30 - 40 years ago an average man could leave school and go straight into a manufacturing job that paid enough for him to buy a decent house and raise a couple of kids whilst the wife stayed at home to raise the kids, giving them a healthy level of attention and care that are so vital (particularly in the first 4~ years of development).
That is absolutely not the case anymore, property prices have become absurdly out of reach for most young people (without wealthy parents), rents are therefore pushed up, wages have stagnated and people earn far less now in real-terms, job security is worse, it often takes husband and wife, sometimes working more than 1 job each, just to be able to just live with your head above water. If you want a semi-decent job you're going to have to rack up a mountain of life-long debt for an education.
Over the years and the decades, worker unions have been targeted and dismantled, politicians (in many countries) have been -bribed- lobbied by ultra-rich, ultra-powerful entities, into implementing policy that makes it easier for them to jump shop and leave the USA for lower wages and more profit... inevitably living standards decline, poverty increases, as does crime, mental health, suicide, drugs...
Today, societal decay has long set, the families are placed under more pressure than ever to survive, the insatiable strive for wealth, status and trinkets & is constantly ingrained in us my the media we consume (who puts that message there?), this takes it's toll on family values, which then feeds into the cycle of broader societal issues I just touched upon.
Our culture has had it's heyday, in the context of human history we are still living sweet, but in recent history I'm living witness to the decline, I really worry for future generations.
@@10aDowningStreet , Completely agree with how things have declined since I grew up. Soon I turn 69 and the times we live in now scares me. Every time I go out I'm very aware of my surroundings. I carry a very loud whistle on my purse and 2 in my van. Hopefully someone would come to help , although not sure in today's world. I did the van in case I should ever become homeless , or whatever we may face today. Not paranoid, just prepared.
Karl
Me, almost 59, I totally agree. Didn’t go to college, learned a trade. Never out of work,
No way able to save a dollar either. It really sucks. Very well written though.
Tony/nyc.
NoProGoPronto let’s check back with him in 1 year
@@10aDowningStreet YES. My thoughts exactly.
I totally agree. What a great kid. He sure knows what he wants. I wish I did when I was his age. Nice shoot. I agree with someone's comment from a previous video...the quality of your videos (other than the rare blurry picture & sound issue), are better than most videos I've seen.
Deception
Love this guys story and attitude, very smart!! I wish him the best.
You should watch Living Big in a Tiny house. Bryce is so cool, he also bought an ambulance and is working on it. He travels a lot interviewing people that build their tiny house homes. Amazing videos.
I love the shorter videos. Mitch is a smart kid with a good head on his shoulders. Wishing him lots of luck and safe travels.
You have such a amazing story. One thing I would suggest get what you need. Refrigerator keeping things cool is so important. Solar since you live in your home. Your making income, continue to add what you definitely need. Finish your kitchen. At the end of the build there's no place like home. Best of luck
Nice Mitch, I’m watching this from Riverside, Ca right now. You’re living the dream, freedom 👍🏾 props to you 👏🏾
Super smart young man.
Great work. Thanks for sharing
I love it! "The way we're wired is to figure things out!" I'm going to remember that! What a great quote! Give thanks for your share about your awesome home on wheels!
My sister just bought an ambulance in Seattle and is starting to live out her dream! Will be sharing this with her
After 2yrs of researching, this is the only testimonial that I've watched... beginning to end. THANK YOU for sharing your build and your thoughts. The inspiring words, are well beyond your years and has given me the motivation to move forward with my own venture. I hope that the open road has offered what you've been searching for, because you deserve it! BE EAZY BRO... peace
I wish more people were like this at his age. I'm sure his future wife will be very lucky to find a man who's so thoughtful and dedicated! Thanks for sharing :)
That lines on his legs gives me anxiety.
I noticed that. What is it?
Tatto obviously, but I wish he would have explained it. At first I thought the guy was wearing a seamed stocking backward. (Split second thought).
@SaltyDad yeah, someone posted a link here somewhere here, to the particular tattoo site that probably did it. It was very interesting.🙂
Oh it's a tattoo p,that's much better than him wearing stockings lol
Love the ambulance take on the tiny homes, but I’m disappointed that no one is using the steel bar for a hammock 😂 looks like a cool place to hang one! Good job young man 👌🏽
CincoMariposas
Because hammocks belong outside....
Rick Sanchez C137 not really in the Caribbean we use them inside and out.
Just because someone chooses to work hard and acquire rental property doesnt mean it's not right for them. It's actually brilliant to to be "making money while you're sleeping". Living in a van and having rental property would be ideal.
I think he is just referring to not wanting to be a slave to a corporation but yes having streams of income working for you is ideal. I think this young man gets it.
I love your ingenuity n I love your new cocoon/home!!! I'm envious in a good way and really considering my first vehicle being a ambulance.
You have a huge heart (don't ever change that) Your most beautiful quality!!!
Best of luck to you!!!
Congratulations on your adventures many blessings enjoy your time live in the moments knowing you are loved and happiness will follow you take care always
God bless 🙏 you son you have an old wise soul. Stay BLESS 🙏 and safe!! You reminds me of Gabe from the reality show "Alaskan Bush People"
So cool! The mural painted on the side is awesome! Love your story and success. You have to have lots of people talking to you all the time.....because you drive a ambulance! Safe travels!!!!
Thanks for sharing. You seem to be a wonderful young man. You are so focused. Such an inspiration!
very impressive with very wise thought processes! Mitch you will go on to great things with your way of thinking! WTG! YOLO!
Chris love the format very good stick to it awesome buddy 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦👍👍
Absolutely love this little van and your bed mattress looks gorgeous and comfy, I bet you love the freedom you get good luck for you so god bless and take care of you xx
I hope more Ambulance Conversions are posted on YT for future references for those of us interested in such build, can get multiple ideas. Keep up the good videos Tiny Home Tours.
Love the Ambulance, mine is still a work in progress but I love seeing a variety of options
Love this guys story and attitude, very smart and awesome
Yo. I really like this dude. Very cool guy.
May God continue to give her strength, God bless y’all
Yes...exactly!! The amount of money I would have saved and the problems/heartaches that would have been totally avoided! To be 20 again! But..to be THIS guy's 20...is a WHOLE other discussion. Good for him and I'm really happy for him!
Thank you thank you thank you! Seriously wow I appreciate that so so much
@@Mitchumsss40 You're so welcome, man! All I can say is "wow"! Sincere congratulations to you! You should be so proud! (Truthfully, I'm envious)!!!
You get it! Well done.
You get it, bro! Absolutely crushing.
Thanks Tiny Home Tours for bringing us this story.
The Goldfish; I did chuckle, buying them in the big box is the best!
Love the mural, well done.
Very pleased to see Mitch living his dream. It's not selfish at all. If you don't take care of your own life's goals and finances you end up living someone else's dream. Like he said, "why pay someone else to sleep in comfort while you slave away to make their dream possible."
The way Mitch found out how to jump start his video gig was so totally the best story for today's young to hear so they too can make better decisions on their path to happiness.
Best regards for your future Mitch.
Curlyjo Robbie that comment means more than you know to me. Truthfully thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Totally agree with this dude!!!
"The best things in life aren't things"... Does this guy blaze or what? :p
He right traveling in a van is the best
Dude that line has been around for a long time lol hes just copying what he hears/reads from other people
Does he blaze? You say that like it’s a bad thing 🤣😂
I can’t lie I really like his message and point of view on life !!!
Seems like a smart kid. I hope things keep going well for him.
Hey dude vintage stuff was back when it was meant to last. That ice chest probably keeps stuff cool for a long time!!
Wise young man. You were VERY lucky to get this as your new home. They are well taken care of. I follow nomads so, put reflextics on inside and outside of cooler it will help keep temp cooler. Hope your good luck continues❣I'm 69 and fixed up a sports van . Not full time but, nice to get away sometimes.😊
Love it. You got a great deal. Awesome mural. I want one.
Super inspiring man
Awesome video that guy is inspirational he got it figured out 👍👍👍👍🛠🇨🇦awesome van cheap and simple.🛠🇨🇦👍👍👍
The message was very good, nice :-) I've live in my 22' Mine Winnie for about two years. Same reason as you "why am I paying someone else" life is good make it yours :-)
Yes Riverside 💖
Love it!!!!! I'm in the process of getting one!
Very impressive young man, well done 🔥💯✔
WOW, now I want an ambulance to be my new home. Great job!!
For those negative Nancies, death can not be officially determined until they get to the hospital. Instead think positively like imagine how many lives were saved because of this Ambulance!! I love this guy's mindset. 👍🏾🙂
I totally agree w you. It's a life-saving automobile. God used the people in One and the equipment to saved my life.
I totally agree w you. It's a life-saving automobile. God used the people in One and the equipment to saved my life.
Yes, I didn’t understand her comment. Does she believe in ghosts or spirits? I wouldn’t give it a second thought. It did t even occur to me to think that way. Ambulances are vehicles, plain and simple. I mean, people buy old houses, and plenty of them have had deaths and suicides, even murders within them. Ambulances are trying to save people.
This is great! I wish I had that kind of motivation to hit fire even faster 🔥 🔥
That's how I felt about what can I do, once I found van life it was like an answer, not to all my problems but just to get away when I wanted too
Smart kid! Impressed
I would suggest a dorm fridge installed in your media area. I lived in a studio and that was all I needed. You ambulance looks great. I wish I could also get an ambulance conversion. Great price for the miledge.
I agree with you NoPro...I could have never done that when I was 20 yrs old. And college was free back in my day in the 1960's and while the cost of living was cheaper and most everything else was too..living wages were $1.25 to $3.00 an hour then. depending and where you lived and also parents helped too. More power to this young man.
Awesomeness man
awesome rig! interesting and energetic tour, thanks. Do you have solar panels on top ? (I hope you don't mind me saying but you remind me of an instructor or teacher, like someone that was in the military)...what does the line on your leg stand for?
Mitch I am curious to know what powered the ambulance when it was in use? Can you restore the power plugs 110 volts? and can you use any prior power sources? Also, can you use solar grids on top for electric heater instead?
I live overseas, in a country were people have ZERO initiative and critical thinking skills. Nice to see people from the Beehive state taking control over their lives. Good job Bro!
"Trust your talent -- it will take you on your most profound journeys." - Linda Fess
What about 2 way exhaust fan for summer? And solar panel for power?
hahaha the blunt at 5:43 haha
You are an amazing young man and seeing this video gives me hope for the generation coming up. One question, what to you do for companionship? I would feel alone if I was not near other people.
We're in the process of converting a bus while we live in it. It's been an adjustment, but I love it!
Love ambulances. Tough, pre-equipped, 👍🏼
You need a max rv vent fan to get the hot air out of your rig, some can be left open all the time. Even if it rains , Check out other ambulance builds on how to put one in your rig. your rig is hot because it is made of aluminum and it absorbs the heat. We have an rv that is all aluminum and we notice it was cold & hot so we have put a rhino like paint lining on the floor and a rv coating solar reflective sealant on the roof from amazon. Good luck , you are one shark young man. God bless
I love everything about an ambulance as a sturdy, well-maintained vehicle, perfect size, storage, outlets, bells and whistles, but for me to sleep in, I would be feeling the imprint of the people who passed away. I am looking for the right vehicle, it's taking time.
I wish I insisted my husband become a firefighter in my coastal hometown. It's a great job.
Wow great buy.
Cool set up!★peace
This is a great home on wheels! But he definitely needs a fridge and enough power (solar) to run everything for a week or so to stay off grid but a generator is nice but it's not quite but it's a great option.
I almost converted an ambulance. I was getting a 450. My plan included sink, burner cooktop, shower and toilet etc. I almost bought one and then ended up buying a 6 window school bus to convert. Working on it now and will be on the road soon. Maybe I'll do my ambulance idea next time if I decide to go smaller.
That's funny, I bought a 7 window school bus 4 years ago and could never find the time to continue working on it. It felt like 2 steps forward 5 steps back. I love my bus but when I ran across an ambulance I bought it and was living in it a month later!
What an amazing time we live in!
@@sherrihodges849 That is pretty funny. Good luck to you out there. Now that I have gotten so far on my bus, I do believe that the ambulance would have been quicker. But so far, so good. I had time added to my departure by getting sick and getting surgery and now a family member is very sick. So planning for that new life come Spring.
you might want to experiment with evaporation cooling if your are too hot - you need some sort of simple latice to drip water on - can fine lotta info online about - really cheap and simple and quite
I'd love to know a couple of things:
What is the mpg on your rig?
How fast can it go?
Did it come with any water tanks or plumbing?
I want to build my own van. I currently have a small Class C, so this would be similar. I thought about the Ford Transit but somehow, its too cramped. This feels so right. The issue with my Class C (Ford E350 1997) is that its too bulky and I cannot drive it over 65 mph max. Gas mileage sucks at 10 mpg as well. This means that cross country driving is out. Its great for short legs locally but I want to do some extensive travel. My concern with an ambulance is the terrible mileage. Please let me know.
I think you did a great job, and got this at a good price. You should build a bathroom where your closet is currently, and add some water tanks. Also, I would put an RV roof AC like the latest Dometic model. For Fridge, Vitrifrigo is all electric but an efficient compressor fridge. You need a fridge. And a sink, bathroom, and water. Look at Greg Virgoe, Ourkaravan, and Dave Orton's van builds to get an idea of quality and smart design. There are van build parties where you learn a lot and people share their tools. Why not go whole hot and fit this out like a proper RV. That will be so comfortable. Thanks for the tour, enjoyed it! Good luck!!
You can put a muffler on it. There are some videos on it. Good luck ! Well done!
Did it come with a sink /water tank, or anything related to plumbing?
smart... not selfish... tyfs
I paid twice what he did for my 98 7.3. I love it so far though!
sound proof the power system
Proud of u youngin. Im so glad there are a few good ones in this generation. Pretty darn smart if I may say so. Btw what is the line on your leg I thought at 1st it was sum on my screen.
Angela Conley He has one on his left underarm as well.
Great video
Wow..he has the perfect set up...
Love the van gave you a sub
Love the 🚑! What a price, that's crazy. Lots of room to put LOTS of stuff. Hahaha
Hey Mitch, when you get a chance can you describe how you built the pull out bed frame?
Nice work, and follow your dream. I just wish my generation had thought of this instead of investing in life long money pit commitments that just keep sucking large sums of money. aka, the home owners money pit. The best to you.
I got my 2001 F350 ambulance with 193,000 miles for $5000 and thought it was a steal. I still think it is! But yours was an amazing purchase!!
A fridge and generator were my only substantial purchases and I'm living on the road for under $7000! Next purchase will be a diesel heater for around $800.
Isn't crazy how inexpensive it can be to live with everything you need....on wheels?!
Ambulances are the way to go! But gas mileage sucks.
Congratulations on your beautiful life!
Did you have to add more insulation to walls or you didn't need to
Ok it might just be me, or did anyone else get distracted by that line running down the middle of.his leg? Great kid thinks like an old man.(which is a good thing). You did a good job on the build and used the storage space well.na suggestion look into screens to keep
I like this rig because he chose to leave everything as it was and he built the bed! Just my opinion some people actually do need to rent a place for various reasons so if we didn’t have investors we could be s..t out of luck. 👍
Bravo 💪😉🖖
Have my eye on 3 2006 E350 Ambulances I want to convert to tiny homes!
I’m kind of amazed that it’s ok to sell ambulance. I would have thought there was... I don’t know... laws or something against it. But man! That is soo cool!
There are certain restrictions on the buyer. They can't use the flashing lights, etc that would make people think they are a legitimate ambulance. I believe they have to remove or cover up the word "ambulance." Not totally sure about that one.
old retired ambulances gotta go somewhere. its like adopting an old dog from a shelter.
This guy reminds me of me. I've been trying to do this same thing to achieve the same goal and to see this guy do it at 20 makes me kinda sad lol. I'm 30 and just days from being on the street and its finally occurred to me something like this is a better idea than trying to camp it in the hobo woods. Sadly I'm so financially screwed I dont think I'll ever make it to the level hes at. This is great to see tho because it gives me hope for other people.
Wooowww. I want to buy one also but a friend of mine said I would have to work on gas emission or won't pass CA standards. How did you pass yours Smog Check? How much did it cost to pass it? Please help...🤓💝
The young man, is quite remarkable. It's great to travel around when u r young, because youth doesn't last very long. One day he will be 35 and
be saddled with responsibilityl
To avoid the cost of a refrigerator, there are electric coolers for a lot less. Great job!!!
*Electric coolers are a waste of money. You're not going to "save" by re-buying food and having it run constantly pulling from your power/solar.* 🤷🏾♀️ *Alpicool makes affordable 12volt fridges with compressors that work VERY WELL!*
put the monoxide detector lower by the floor propane etc. is heavier than air. other than that this is inspiring. keep doin what youre doin man.
Bro, 3500 harbor freight... 799.00. super quiet. 59 db
AWESOME DEAL, ARE YOU GOING TO GO SOLAR WITH IT??
Impressive
He looks like billy from stranger things 😍
How many miles per gallon? I'm thinking of buying one tomarrow.
