Nissan has made some good cars in the recent past. I had a first-generation Versa hatchback and that was an awesome car. Never gave me any problems at all. I had it 8 years and the only thing I ever had to do was replace the battery and tires. There wasn't anything on it complicated enough to break really. It was utilitarian and super reliable. That was a genius car design.

I leased the G35 for 2 years, but no problems at all. I currently been in the 2010 G37x with 104K miles. The only problem is the driver door latch system failed & cost $800 to repair. The other comment is they are a blast to drive. I blow away bmw's & audi's all the time from a standing stop. If you down shift w/ the tip tropic, you can really save on brake maintenance. The steering is off the charts as well...tight and good weighting. I am a skier and drive in snow; as good, if not better than an SUV. Trunk has pass thru for skis & lumber. I am going to keep it to 150-200K miles. Highly recommend...

370z 2014 came in here just to watch him say how reliable it is, His videos talking about junk nissans always make me a little URKED, The VQ is in MANY MANY of nissans lineup and the JATCO 5at and 7AT are incredibly reliable auto transmissions..... However nissans CVTs are definitely a different story, but after owning 2 VQs one high mileage and one getting up there i can say for SURE that the VQ is an engine that goes like a dream even after you've given it the lead foot, year after year after year. Theres no engine in a coupe or sedan that i would trust more for the dollar amount you can get them at

I am an old Nissan truck fan. Those old hardbodies are usually solid and even the Titan were pretty good. I’ve got a 2014 Xterra and I don’t plan on buying anything newer because it all changed around 2016.
Idk about the Titan Cummins though. I’m tempted but I want to see how it holds up long term first.

Why buy from a company that has an unreliable V8 truck? If you just need a small work truck get a very old hardbody and forget the Cummins Diesel.

The Infiniti G37x is one damn good reliable car. I wish they would’ve kept the 3.7 Liter and never indulged into the turbos. That naturally aspirated 3.7 is a beast with 328 hp

Love my 2009 Infiniti g37 awd sedan. I'm the 4th owner, It had 2 small wrecks on carfax, but I bought her anyways because the price was right. 115,000 miles and going strong! Thanks for showing Infiniti/Nissan some Love Scotty. Never thought I'd see you praise an Infiniti based on your past videos. Guess you can teach an old dog new tricks:)

I've had a Maxima and now have a G35 from brand new. Both manual transmissions, both over 230k miles with almost zero problems. They show some wear on the seats, but they have been excellent rewarding vehicles. Well cared for. Solid. Looking to keep the Infiniti until it dies.

I'm glad to see that you have finally seen the light in regard to to the G series Infinitis, Scotty. For years they have been very highly regarded in terms of reliability and balance between performance, comfort, and luxury. The drivetrains are ultra reliable, especially the manual transmission variants coupled with the engine oil galley fix done from 2011 on. And yes, they are fast good handling cars in stock form, but if performance is your bag, minimal intake and exhaust mods coupled with a good tune REALLY ups the HP, and slight lowering plus slightly thicker sway bars and some sticky tires turn these things into extremely capable back road/track monsters, without affecting ride comfort substantially. The brakes on the S series especially are incredible too, and the net result is a car that is especially rewarding to drive and can put to shame it's German sedan competitors with magnitudes less repair issues. As an added bonus as far as I'm concerned the sedan versions not only offer rear seats that actually fit normal sized humans very well, but are also stiffer and lighter than their zoomy two door coupe sister. What's not to love about these things?

Its crazy seeing real r34 skylines on the road. I drove an r32 but held off then 19 hit and market went . I'll stick with my g35 for now, got it for a steal.

You are right on everything you type here. I have a G35S with stick shift with 270k km and still running as a clock. The car is a perfect combination of power, balance, style (2007 looking better that newer competition models), quality of materials and turning and braking response. It is not that expensive to fix it or keeping it in good shape. That is why I have not found any comparable car to replace it.
