  • Today I tell the story of my 2009 Nissan Skyline 370GT Coupe. A car I've owned for nearly a year but have barely driven and certainly haven't made any videos with. I explain what it took to fix it and take it out for a good ol' Italian tune-up on track at Manfeild.

I just sold my 370gt coupe last month and got to say it’s Super underrated for the money.
Very comfortable yet handles good for a big car and hydraulic steering is always good to have, it’s pretty fast as well, i beat cars like Fk8 type r, Vf ss and tuned gti which was surprising.
Only downside was the bad fuel economy.

@@lgz2006 At being a daily, yes. Especially if you go for a sedan over the coupe which despite what you'd assume, the Sedan is lighter than the coupe. These cars are basically 370Z's in tuxedos. Same platform, just more luxury and with it, weight. The Z is the sports car of the two, lighter weight, shorter wheel base, stiffer suspension, etc. But again, same platform so 90% of the parts are interchangeable, most importantly the engines and trans are identical. Knock on wood, most reliable and fun car I've driven is my current 2013 Infiniti G37 Sedan with the 7-speed Auto. Same car as in the video, just sedan form with the newer trans and goes by the Infiniti branding in the US.

I'm on 225/50/17's all around with General G-MAX AS-05's and it hooks pretty well. From what I've heard the factory VLSD isn't the best anyways.

I have a 2007 Nissan 370gt in the same colour but SP spec with the magnesium alloy paddle shifters, limited slip differential, 4 wheel steering and upgraded brakes. Not many in the UK and Infinity only sold 70 or so UK spec G37 coupes in 5 years. I have had the car under sealed and fitted a UK spec Nissan Satnav system which switches the screen into English. 5w-30 is too thin if you ever plan on going WOT often let alone tracking it. These motors have high oil temp issues and an oil cooler is a must long term. I run a "thinner" 0w-40 Pennzoil Ultra Platinum and it's much happier with it vs the 5w-30 of the same. Yes, even two oils classified at the same weights will vary and some are heavier than others despite being labeled the same.
