I like the low end that the digital setting picked up. Analog sounded clean, but a bit thin to me.

Great video as always... would love to have heard a quick a/b with a few other platforms (Rode, etc.). Is it me or did the iPhone sound better? :D. Thanks again! I've enjoyed your non-Nikon reviews lately. I may be jumping on the Sony eco-system purely for lenses (currently on Z6ii), but your X-H2S review has me interested in the coming X-H2 as well.

The Sony mic is mono. The iphone is recording in stereo. That's the difference I think you're hearing.

the mic sounds really good and the noise canceling also is so good unless you're friend do that stuff , i will definitely buy it

Do you notice an increased discharge rate of the battery when using the mic?
Edit: At the 5:00min mark, I believe you are thinking of an amplifier. The ATT (attenuator?) should lower the sensitivity so 10dB/20dB is to make it quieter.

I think it is (0) (-10) and (-20) db.
I tried 0 thinking that it is the lowest and ended up recording super loud ambient sounds 😂
