    Hi, have you ever compare using noise canceling from b1m vs audition? Which sound better? Thanks!

    The B1M is an incredible Microphone on paper, It lowers your footprint and makes recording audio so much easier/cleaner. However, for me I think I'll need to stay with my NTG just due to the stability. In the walking test, he was carrying 2 cameras at arms length which isn't easy to stay steady, but It was a good test for me since I could be moving around a bit more, so the bumps and knocks would be too frequent for me to be satisfied.
    If you arent moving quickly or suddenly and just casually walking around or set up on a tripod, This thing would by far be the best option.

      I'm confused. On the mic in the video, it has 8 mics, however, when I look up this mic, I only see four slots. Am I looking at the wrong thing?

    I just bought the B1M mic. Why can’t I hear recorded playback on videos? Isn’t that a standard function of any video camera? I’ve read that you have to upload it to a computer to hear the audio?

    Great video, I just bought that Sony mic. Thanks Michael. I just wonder most of d cages can’t put that mic on d hot shoe. Mind to tell me which cage do u use? Thanks again.

    • @MichaelEgglerFilms

      I use a cage from Smallrig for the A7S3. It leaves the hot shoe mount free for the mic and has a lot of mounting possibilities for monitors, mics etc.

    I ordered this mic mid December 2021, expecting to receive it those days (mid May 2022) :). In firs the shop give me up to 90 days for delivery.

    During your tests, was that raw sound or did you perform post processing to the audio? Thanks for the video! This is an incredible microphone.

    Hi friend, what do you prefer? Activating LC or NC or not?
    Is it better to choose off and process everything we want in the processing program?
    Another question, please, regarding the decibel, what do you recommend choosing?
    Thanks

    • @MichaelEgglerFilms
      @MichaelEgglerFilms  11 месяцев назад

      Hi
      It depends. For social media content for example, the NC is amazing since it captures and reduces noise based on the actual shooting situation. In post, it‘s always a bit of guesswork.
      Obviously depending on the situation, sth. like Adobe Podcast/Enhance Speech does miracles.
      I prefer shooting at -10.

    Can you use this mic's together on your Sony camera? When you put the mini jack from the Rode GO in and also the Sony ECM B1m on the hotshoe?

    • @MichaelEgglerFilms
      @MichaelEgglerFilms  2 года назад

      Unfortunately, the mini jack will override the signal from the ECM B1M. At least on my Sony A7S iii, that‘s the case there.

    okay i just got mine today. I'm bummed that digital is not compatible with my a6600. I noticed that my a6600 and A7iii both have the pins in the hot shoe. I'm not sure why it's not compatible. I guess I'll use it on my A7iii only. Overall it's a great mic but I really need to test it against my Rode videomicro because I like that one as well. This one just seems much less intrusive (smaller cat and I hate the Rode's big mount).

    How far could you be away from the mic to get a nice clean sound? I only got a 35mm gm lens and am thinking to use this mic for youtube studio recording but i am not sure because the mic can only sit on top of the camera...

    • @MichaelEgglerFilms
      @MichaelEgglerFilms  2 года назад

      That should be no problem. The other day, I was 3 m away from the mic and it picked up audio super clean. The only thing you have to make sure is that your studio is sound treated to reduce hall/reverb. Other than that, you should be fine😎

      @@MichaelEgglerFilms I feel bad to ask but would it be possible that you make a short video where you stand 1-3m away from the camera and speak into the mic?
