Dear Sony, why don't you record all the sound data from all sound capsules and let us choose the edit mode during the editing. It is difficult to remember to be in the correct mode during live recording.
You can have it record in different channels! You can set the camera in 4 channel mode have channel 3 record in omni directional mode regardless of what channel you record in for channel 1/2. Ch4 is ch3 but 20 decibels softer.
will this automatically override the built in mic for the ZV E1? When I put it on the camera, the direction options for the built in appear to be active in the menu.
If I'm filming dialogue from a distance, would a manual setting of 10 and a narrow beam from the front work best then? At how many meters does it become necessary to use a separate microphone closer to the conversation?
Just got my M1. Yes, it has all these modes, but it is almost unusable, because it is so sensitive to handling of my A7iv camera. Just as bad as my B10 on my RX10. So sensitive that I can’t use the zoom while filming.
@@GoWrightReviews I understand the struggle brother! Your channel is harder to grow than mine being review based. That's tough unless you want to spend 10k per month on new gear lol
I am thinking as well but I’m not sure I want to give up my ECM-B1M. This one is nice and smaller but I’m not really sold on the sound. Doesn’t seem to be a step up from mine. Just has more pick up patterns.
@@RegalRey I will have to test them side-by-side before I switch completely, but one downside of the B1M is that my voice sounds muffled when I speak and the camera/mic is pointing away.
I wouldnt have said so though this is not a traditional mic, it is more a jack of all trades kind of idea and therefore is really a different type of mic. The B1M is more of a traditional shotgun mic and for that aplication that would be a much better choice. Though for Vlogging and travel this may be a lot more versitile in different situations.
@Sony please give the Sony A7S III more updates in the same way you did to the Sony FX3. You need to give more updates to Sony A7S III other wise loyal Sony users will move to Panasonic.
It sounds good when you're close to the microphone. Distant sounds sound REALLY BAD, at least in this video. Bummer, because it's a great solution, but this is basically limited to vloggers.
Very organic discussion sirs
wow they released this beside the A6700, its a pretty awesome starter cameras for content creators with they mic combo
They just unlocked the nastiest combo for the new A6700 and I love them for it! Definitely gotta pick this up.
If I use this can I record a second source of audio through the 3.5mm input?
Does it work on external battery or internal?
is it could be used on A-6000?

Curious if this is natively compatible with the Sony ZV1
Yeah anything with a MI Shoe will work with this microphone. Which is a huge range and all their modern cameras have it.
Seems to be very lacking in bass frequencies. Is there specifications chart somewhere ?
It sounds like they did some noise reduction unfortunately. I’d have loved to hear the raw audio.
I love Sony.
Interesting. Can't find a tech spec sheet anywhere though.
price ?
Can it compatible with Sony Alpha a6000 camera

That's bad, I don't know why sony makes it so sensitive. Even the Sony ECM-W2BT is so sensitive, the sound is almost burnt out.
@@roman9887 have you experimented with the low or noise filters? also wondering if youre shooting handheld?
does it work with e10
Yes
@sony ! I would love to review and test this microphone out on my RUclips channel. Such an interesting product to showcase 👍🏾
With 2k subs they will not send it out. You'll need 102k for that
@@ItsMe_Philippines I kinda figured but you never know right? Perhaps you can help me reach my goal 😅.

@@ItsMe_Philippines it’s so real 😅 !
Do's it work to sony a6400
You can hear the digital post processing denoiser here. Cheating. 0:56
This is an amazing shout gun mic. Only for Sony cameras?
Yeah only for sony. Only works via their MI shoe adaptor
@@heartshapedfilms thanks
GREAT....!
I just got a second ECM-B10 and this comes out. Annoying. I wonder which is better this looks to be incredibly versatile.
Please update the Sony A7SIII. It's getting to a point where it's getting embarrassing.
Looks like I will be replacing my ECM-B1Ms with a few of these guys.
Is it better ?

I need this microphone ❤. Hello from Ukraine
Doesn't sound bad. The acting isn't good. But I think everyone gets the message.

SONY 🧡🤍💚
It's too high vertically :(
too high for what?
This would be game changer product
Cool idea and sounds crisp. BUT the background noice is apparently very loud :(
sony microphones look always like one parts is missing.

The features are very nice - but I am surprised at how _bad_ the sound is? It sounds very boxy, muted even - doesn't sound natural nor clear

thissss. my rV has better videofocussed features than the sIII
@@Soundwave857 how ?

Same brother... ❤❤❤
No one asked. No one cares.
400 Euros in Germany 😂, expensive actually!
this commercial is cringe... "wow look at the green... look at the river"...
Japanese cringe level ad dialogues...
It's nice, but for quality, rode is better
Microphones should be attached to XLR not shoe mount
Komodo has 3.5mm
It sounds bad
