Personally, I think the chiefs saw how bad their defense was getting juked and out maneuvered by the Eagles receivers and realized that it was partly because of the field. 100% had to play in the mind of the players and staff. If you think about all of the chiefs second half key plays, the two touchdowns, toney punt return and juju def holding all came on reverse cutbacks to the other side. Eagles must have realized this a bit ahead of the chiefs but great job for chiefs coaching staff to wise up and use it at the most critical moments to win it all

    • @Kyeuss

It was just a good route against the Eagles, who were being overly aggressive jumping routes

    • @johngaudy

Just a second comment, I was reading elsewhere the slippery turf creates an advantage for the offense since it's the defense that has to react to the offenses moves. Also, neither D line could make any big sacks because it's easier for the O line to anchor down to the turf while the D line must accelerate through to make a play, but came off this turf too slow. If I was a betting man the over on total points would have been a no brainer

With Andy at the helm, we're like sibling teams. I have a couple of close friends who are Eagles guys and they helped talk me down off a cliff in the early years when Andy would lose a very winnable game and come out with the "I gotta do better than that," or "that's something we're working on" statements. Would love to see us run this back next year.

The big TD to Skyy Moore was a play that they'd been cultivating since the first quarter. Every time Moore was on the field he was in motion, and in almost every play he was the decoy. He was the decoy so much that he was all alone on that last TD. This is something that they couldn't have done with Tyreek because everything he does got so much attention.

very hard to defend that play. if the defense does not shift, then they hand it of on the sweep. It will take an amazing defensive play to stop it. But defenses will scheme and come up with a solution soon enough. What they didnt show (in this video) were the various plays earlier in the game where they ran that motion to verify the eagles defensive scheme for the superbowl.

Reid makes the best 2nd half plans and adjustments in games. in the first half he sets things up to see how the defense reacts and knowing that the other team will make adjustments to what they saw in the first half he then has a very different plan in the 2nd half that is not just about making adjustments- its a very different game plan that opposing teams are unprepared for.
